While she was excited to…read morehave her rehabilitation at this state-of-the-art facility, she encountered less than standard care with her personal hygiene needs. She developed a bedsore, became ill and was transferred back to hospital. While the excellent care provided in Hospital healed her infection, and started to heal her bedsore, she decided to enter into palliative care. She was able to transition to her home to spend her last days amongst those she loved. Our advice is for the family to be questioning, present as much as possible and insist on being given the specific medical information about their loved one's health. The nursing staff for the most part is excellent, as are the O.T./PT.'s. Clearly there was a lapse in patient observations being documented, communicated and acted upon.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the good idea to photograph the panel where the staff changed their names every day and I feel embarrassed about that. I only remember the names of the physiotherapists, Shalini and Arjun, with whom I felt a special connection and to whom I greatly appreciate their help. But in fact, I got excellent treatment from all the staff at the center, including nurses, support workers, cleaning and kitchen staff. The doctor who took care of my health came to see me and answered questions every time I asked to see her. And the administration lady was also present to assist me. I have nothing but words of gratitude for the entire team at this incredible health center. For obvious reasons, I would not like to have to be hospitalized again, but as a Latin lady, I can only tell you that I will always carry you in my heart.

Appletree Medical Group USED to be really good, but now all services are just "OK". Additionally, for simple Blood Sugar/Pressure Tests, for which readings were immediate, I was forced to ask the results THREE TIMES. Why didn't they just tell me on the first try? Also AGREE with other reviewers posting that NOW Appletree doctors tend to be dismissive, rushed, & don't really take much "interest" in patients' health, needs, questions, etc. The majority of them are indian. Saw Doctor Sarne for almost a DECADE - he knows not only my History & Record but also ME - so why will Appletree *NEVER* tell me what happened to Dr Sarne like "what's his NEW location", "did he retire", etc? Isn't Appletree LEGALLY OBLIGATED to disclose this info? Finally, around 1/2 dozen times, I repeatedly requested a prescription renewal for something OTHER THAN Metformin coz it's been linked to cancer. They could have EASILY just prescribed Rybelsus? What's Appletree's response to this? I "need to have a Family Doctor"!! So many people & doctors, staff, management, and even the agents answering the phone at Appletree are ALL seriously dumb!! They're probably scamming OHIP.

Doesn't believe I have the gene when I show him dna tests sends me to a hospital to be tested and the dr there says they don't really test for it and they lose my results. The dr will not call the other or the hospital and find out what happened and I don't know what to do. Another refused to let me have blood tests for b12 and vitamin D despite showing him previous blood tests I had paid for myself that I was already deficient in one and borderline with the other. He told me I looked healthy and he's not concerned! I had to beg and insist and finally got labs back I was deficient in b12 Just left tonight I showed up at 5:30pm and was told they have no space for new patients and come back from 7-9pm when walk ins are open again. I come back for 7:15pm and the kiosks aren't taking new people. I said I needed a prescription for an antifungal that I had from another doctor and was going away on a trip soon and needed it before I went. And the receptionist said the doctor will not see you. Despite me saying the name of what I wanted and why and that I had walked here twice and no other place was open and I don't drive. They just sent me away and the only exception would be if I had a bladder infection or needed a BC prescription renewal that's it. They told me to go find a clinic by the airport. I needed refills, and she went on & on as if she was investigator or psychiatrist. She didn't stop at asking what was my stress lately but was asking very weird questions as if she wanted to induce specific answers. I told her about harassment & discrimination by York University staff as a retaliation after I pointed out on their unethical hiring, unethical practices, & mistreatment of PhD students at the PhD in HRM. Then, she tried to convince me I need to see a psychiatrist for telling her that which gaslighting resembles the York U staff when a students points out on wrongdoings as they can't stand criticism. She said that she watches a TV show (Love & B....).. to diagnose people with disorders. Yet, she mentioned some concepts & it was clear to me she doesn't know much from that filed. She seemed confused as if she is a psychiatrist when it was clear from her comments that she doesn't even know basic stuff about some disorders (I have a degree in Psych & studied Abnormal Psych). She said she will only give me refills for two weeks & I must see her again to see if she needs to send me to a psychiatrist. This reminded me of the time in history when women were sent in asylum because someone was prejudiced or didn't like them. I have never had such experience with a medical doctor before. She was very professional & her (mis)conduct) disturbing. Her God syndrome that she is knowledgeable in psychiatry when she is not - says that she needs re-evaluation (she is older with all white hair).

The physiotherapist gave me her email and encouraged me to contact her directly if I had any questions. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was the fact that a sheet of paper was not placed on the "massage table" in the area where I put my face, which was not hygienic. My experience with the chiropodist was not as good. My orthotics took many months to arrive, cost twice as much as my previous pair, and didn't fit! I was originally referred to the sports medicine clinic by my family doctor, and the sports specialist in turn referred me to the chiropodist. Even though I needed orthotics for running, I was given wafer-thin orthotics, suitable for dress shoes. Even though I have super high arches, I was given orthotics for low arches. I later realized that the chiropodist had filled out the form incorrectly. To top it off, the chiropodist suggested I get a heel insert since I have Achilles tendon pain, but this was a bad idea -- now my feet slip out of my running shoes while I am working out.

Before anything, let me be fully clear, Doctors/ Physicians in the clinic are amazing, I am with my family doctor from a long time, however the admin team has been a nightmare. I underwent surgery in March 2026, which lead me to be bed ridden for recovery till May 2026. I lost my job, my OSAP went into overpayment, I am under extreme financial hardship and I was attacked racially on the streets of Toronto. I was recovering, hence could not make it to the appointments, when asked about it, I was told about "policies" and "fees" I must pay before I see my doctor. I gently asked to waive it OR allow me to delay the payment till I am capable of giving it / do it in instalments. It was relayed to my doctor as I am asking to waive fees and I was informed it cannot be done. The email had issues lines up, I was looking to get my doc to fill in some forms, insurance/ hardship related, I was told how much that would "COST". I had to leave it on the side. I received an email saying I am no more on ROSTER because I missed appointments! I was genuinely taken aback. My psychiatrist had stopped the practice, so my files was being transferred to family doctor. Admin team at UHN did it, honestly, multiple times. It never reached my doctor. During my current hard time, facing depression, anxiety, adhd and an attack because I am a different race, with no money, poor credit fighting to get a job, I started overcoming my issues. I asked again for an appointment, because UHN confirmed that I was still with this clinic, they replied with "policy rules", "admin fees"! I have an entire email chain! The admin from UHN helped me with getting the records, and I PERSONALLY SENT THEM! My doctor understandably could not read everything because there were more than 200 visits to be read! So from whatever time I was a patient of this clinic, UHN did send the records, and they NEVER reached my doctor, until I had to find a way to provide it to them! Finally after asking for an appointment I finally got one last week, I finally saw my doctor and we had a plan, from the conversation I noticed he was relayed with selective information, and when he said he supports the admin team, I reassured him I understand policies and why you are supporting them, however, my MAIN CONCERNS have not reached you! Me and my doctor had a plan, I requested for one of my forms to be signed on Friday, according to clinic "policy" I was late with the email so they were going to answer me next business day. Monday has passed by, Tuesday is almost coming to an end, and I am ghosted yet again! It is extremely hard not to take this personally, I have been clarifying asking giving feedbacks in a real positive light whenever possible. BUT THE ADMIN TEAM HAS ABSOLUTELY NO EMPATHY! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE DURING MY OWN ROCK BOTTOM! I have a steady rapport with my doctor, so I cannot even go anywhere else, but to get to him, THIS HUGE HURDLE is just an impossible task! And get it right, they are VERY RUDE with their responses too! I am extremely disappointed! Isnt this the care team I can rely on when I need support? Apparently not! Very very displeased with the EXPERIENCE!!!!! I wish I could give NO star or a half STAR, and again, THE DOCTORS ARE GENUINELY GREAT! Bloor Street: The staff are very nice and helpful. The clinic itself is the size of a dentist room very SMALLLL. This clinic is different as they ALLOW YOU to bring someone in for support while the Mississauga Queensway location DOES NOT. I preferred the does not clinic for that because it is empty , quiet and only people who are getting the procedure/clinic workers are there to aid you. All about preference. This one is so CRAMPED THAT THE ROOM WHERE THEY DO THE ABORTION IS SMALLER THAN MY WALK-IN CLOSET!!!!!! It is way TO SMALL OF A CLINIC. It is quite outdated and tight. But the staff are very kind and helpful. The largest room is the room where the women rest after the vacuum/surgical procedure. This one gave me an anxiety attack after with how tight, small and the amount of people they allow in the waiting room. Mississauga/Queensway: They do not rush you in any way, very large space for the operation/waiting room, it's quiet, very accommodating staff. The only downside I will say is the INTERNAL-ULTRASOUND TECH here is WAYYYY to aggressive with the wand in how deep and strong she inserts it. This ONE DOES FANTASTIC WORK!!!!! *** For Reference I got the procedure in Mississauga in the September of 2018 and the Bloor West Procedure in June 2019.

I have called multiple times for an appointment and she is either away or fully booked. For this appointment I arrived 12 minutes late, and was told by the office General Manger -Gary-the doctor refused to see me because there was "no time between appointments" -- not even enough time to step in and say hello. As I stood there, still in the office, they promptly e-mailed me a $40 missed appointment fee notice -- while making no effort to offer support, reschedule, or show any understanding of the situation. I had clearly gone out of my way to be there, doing my absolute best under difficult circumstances -- and was treated like an inconvenience instead of a patient. Policies are understandable, but enforcing them with zero flexibility or compassion -- especially in healthcare -- is unacceptable. New mothers, or any patients, deserve better than cold bureaucracy and a complete lack of empathy. What's even more disappointing is knowing that my doctor supports this policy. I expected more understanding and care from someone I trusted with my health. Sadly, this experience has made it clear that this is not a practice I can continue with -- I'll be finding a new doctor who values patient care over rigid scheduling. This was more than just a frustrating experience -- it was demoralizing. I sincerely hope this office and it's doctors reconsiders how it treats people, because no one deserves to be dismissed like this after making such an effort to prioritize their health and their child.

For example if you have stuffy nose instead of taking a medicine he recommended a steam inhalation with vicks and it works like a magic. That's what i want with this doctor, he is so concern with his patients rather than the money he'll get from the med rep :) He is very friendly with kids and a very nice person in general. We are just lucky to have the best doctor in town. We actually live far away from his clinic but we drive a long way just to get a good treatment. This is a doctor who cares a lot.
