There are around 50 camping sites that are either close to the Dorena Lake, in the middle, closer to the woods or party sites. Every site has its own fire pit and an area for either a car, RV or a motor-home. Also provides filtered water hoes at certain places around the sites, trash bins for garbage/recycling and liquid waste disposal. SUMMARY; At this camping location you may shower, use the restroom, physical activity at the field, swim, fishing, fire wood burning (fire pit) and riding on a boat. Picnic tables, beach, I think I remember grills, a big grassy area - lots of space to spread out and enjoy the day. Seems like a GREAT place to take family and kids. As a county park, there is a no-alcohol policy. While I'm sure some people discreetly partake, that policy adds to the family friendly atmosphere. Our campsite was in the middle with very little privacy or shade, but we walked around and it was one of the only "bad" spots in the place. I reserved it unseen and shortly before we went, so I was just glad to have a spot. If I come again, I'll reserve in advance and get a water view. For us, the camping was secondary as we spent most of the day out on the water. There is a boat launch for larger vessels and a great big parking area to leave your truck and trailer. We were able to park near the grass and air up our inflatable SUPs pretty close to where we put in. We put in near the beach and spent the day paddling around and it was great fun. It's a lovely lake and we had a great time, but not the "most amazing" lake to paddle by any means. I would come again, next time with friends!

We were here visiting family and had already planned a trip to Crater Lake. Even though it wasn't raging and spectacular it's a neat place to stop and check out this unnatural event. Since there hadn't been rain in awhile it was pretty mild (see pics), but if you can time it right and there has been rain for a few (or more) days it becomes much more glorious. Nice little stop area that is kept clean and has a couple nice vantage points for viewing. If you're in the area this should make your list of nature oriented things to do, especially if you are already heading up the North Umpqua for a day of site seeing.

We went to Oregon to spend Thanksgiving w/ his Mom and this little scenic stop happened to be the destination that Kevin wanted to take me to. The weather was cold so my kiddo stayed in the car w/ his Mom... Kevin and I explored alongside the rivers a few minutes just to be in awe w/ nature and of course, take a few pictures. It was certainly breathtaking and I had a great vacation.

This is a day use park and there's a boat ramp in the lower parking lot. Speaking of parking lots there is a ton of parking space. You can bring your leashes pups here, heck bring the whole family! Big open fields, tall trees and picnic tables makes this place perfect for an afternoon in the sun. You can swim here but there are only a couple spots where you can access the water and they are a bit rocky. They have bathrooms here and there's a little trail that walks around one side of the reservoir. Sometimes I miss the turn from the main road but just remember when you're coming from Eugene it's right after Elijah Bristow State Park.

There are several trails of varying lengths around the marsh and streams running off the Willamette river. There are wheelchair accessible picnic areas and bathrooms. Some of the trails look even and compact enough for wheelchairs but we didn't venture down any this time. I would definitely come back here again for some trail walking, biking, fishing and wildlife watching. There are heron and turtle here.

My fiance and I rented two jet skis from them for half the day and they wouldn't give us extra life jackets for our family members that were on the beach waiting to ride the jet skis too. The owners of the Marina spoke to us as if we were already guilty of destroying their jet skis and THEN when it was time to return the jet ski's, the owner made us ride the jet ski's up to the dock while screaming CLOSER, CLOSER, CLOSER, the jet ski hit the dock. So they charged us an extra $100 because of a scratch that they made us do!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! NEVER RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!! JUST DESPERATE FOR MONEY!!

I have hiked around this reservoir many times and it is always surrounded by fisherman, so I would imagine that there are plenty of fish in the reservoir. The water is super clear and blue. This makes it an amazing spot for photographers. There is a good amount of parking spaces at this lake making it great for large groups and gatherings. There are trails that pass this lake and both trails lead to some of the most beautiful locations. The trial towards the north will take you to Woosah Falls and Sahalie Falls. This is a short uphill trek that travels along the Mckenzie River. The trail toward the south will take you to the Blue Pool AKA Tamolitch Falls. This is a large deep blue colored pool that is fed by some underground springs. This Reservoir is a great base point for a day of exploring and even has a nice little campground. If you have a family who all have a different interest that all involve nature, then this is the right place for you!

Heading South on 101 near the community of LakeSide, Oregon, my wife and I couldn't help but to…read morestop and take a few pic's of this beautiful lake and to see what it had to offer. Eel Lake is in the William M.Tugman State Park. It is also the deepest lake in the chain of lakes along the Oregon Coast and is approximately 355 total acres. Wonderful fishing opportunities here with large mouth black bass, crappie, rainbow trout, steelhead, and co-ho salmon. Other water activities include swimming, canoeing, kyacking, sailing, and boating. There is also a 6 mile moderate trail ( Eel Lake Trail) that will take you along the beautiful Lake where you may encounter deers, and even be lucky enough to see an eagle. Enjoy !
