Where do I start, I just had my wedding this past Saturday, the owner Mr.Kee was THE rudest person ever ! The venue was super hot, I called him and he yelled at me, the kitchen sink was clogged an hour before the event started, THREE of the restrooms were all clogged up, all of my family were helping clean everything up, I called him and he said he couldn't do anything about it. When the water was literally all over the dance floor, restrooms weren't available, people were slipping , my guest had to leave because there was no restrooms, the contract said for 200 people and only 160 were there and he wanted to say it was more than 200 people. He started yelling at everyone, my big day was ruined and I didn't even get my deposit back. We payed for security and he never showed up, he won't give me my money back, he was algo grabbing a lot of my desserts when it clearly said closed and he wasn't invited. He was also there almost in all of my party, taking pictures and took pictures of my husband and I which was a little weird but whatever, I have MANY more things to say, I don't understand how this place is still running. read more

He rents a disgusting hall with broken doors, toilets, and refrigerator and then blames you so that he can keep your deposit! My daughters sweet 16 party was a disaster and her dress was ruined there was toilet water everywhere the bathroom door hanging from a thread with a screw for a cabinet. Worst venue ever. I'm not sure where to start. First off, it wasn't clean. We had to clean the venue before the event started. The bathroom were nasty. The kitchen looked like it never had been cleaned and the smell in the refrigerator was beyond nasty. To top it off, the rental manager Kee decided to come into the event take pictures and eat food. The owner is horrible. Had a birthday party here recently and he was acting chill at first then LITERALLY STALKS us the whole time of the party. Everyone was very uncomfortable and wanted to leave or not get up from their seat. Come to find out, he does this all the time, except with his whole family. Not to mention the refrigerator doesn't even work so we had to get ice which he offered to reimburse us for. Now he doesn't want to give us the deposit or reimbursement for the ice because we were being "rude" when we were just trying to pick up the money at our planned time that we had to reschedule prior because he was too busy. UNPROFESSIONAL, DECEITFUL, AND RUDE VENUE OWNER - I had to take Mr. Kee Ramjiani, owner of the Lakeview Event Center, to small claims court -- he was unwilling to refund our payment after we cancelled use of his venue three months in advance. We were not requesting that he return the deposit of $250 -- we only wanted refunded to us the remainder payment of $950. He continually refused. He claimed that he had rescheduled an appointment with another client and had lost money as a result, and we were therefore responsible for this loss. Mr. Kee Ramjiani was rude to my mother on the phone. He spoke over her and refused to let her speak. When I met him in person the following day, he immediately told me that he would not return our money. It was extremely difficult trying to speak reasonably with him. He accused me of lying when I told him that we had decided to move our wedding event out of state. He then told me that I could take him to court if I was unwilling to compromise and accept less than the $950 that I wanted refunded. I did take him to court. I was awarded the full amount of the contract, as well as court costs. The judge rolled his eyes at Mr. Kee Ramjiani and told him never to waste the court's time again. I cannot emphasize enough: DO NOT ENTER INTO ANY KIND OF BUSINESS CONTRACT WITH THIS MAN, KEE RAMJIANI, OR WITH THE LAKEVIEW EVENT CENTER. He is deceitful, unprofessional, and a bully. read more

DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE!! Just recently had my sons 1st birthday party there and for the most part everything went "well" at the actual party with a few exceptions. First, the owner Kee never expressed to me during our booking consult that we would not have time to set up before the party. It wasn't until a few days before the party when my family helping me asked "what time can we set up" I called the owner to ask and he said not until the set time of the party..I have never booked a place that didn't allow you time to set up. We then agreed to pay for an extra hour to allow us that time to set up (which still wasn't enough time unfortunately) I called him the day before the party to make sure the party before ours was going to be out of the venue before our time and he said call him the next day and he would "let us know". After rushing to set up and having guest arrive while we were not even halfway set up the rest of the party was decent however we booked in December and the weather has been extremely cold so upon arrival not only were the floors extremely sticky to which he said it was "cleaning product that would dry and not stay sticky" it stayed, the place was cold inside so I asked if we could turn up the heat as there were going to be a bunch of small children to which he said "it's because the place is empty it will warm up once you're set up but if not call me and I will fix it" well it did not warm up and my guests were freezing. My husband then called him asking for him to come turn up the heat and when he arrived he interacted with my mother as my husband and I were busy tending to our guests. He proceed to yell at my mother telling her the heat was fine and she argued back with him telling him it needed to be turned up until he finally did. We booked from 3pm-9pm and we ended our party "early" as he said we needed to be out by 9 not cleaning up by 9 and I did not want to deal with anything further we cleaned up by 8 and we're out by 8:30. Fast forward to today, I received a text from him and I quote " Good Afternoon, This is LAKEVIEW EVENTS CENTRE. Regarding your events on January 1st Sunday. Please give us a call. Thanks " unsure of what it was about I gave him a call and answered with a friendly "hello". right off the bat he started accusing me of disputing the zelle payment for the venue that was sent to him. This caught me by surprise so I right away told him to give me a second to check my bank account to see what could've happened. As I am doing so he proceeded to tell me that i needed to pay him all that money right away for taking it back. My bank did not show any returned charges so I informed him of so and asked him if he could contact his bank and have them provide something stating the money disputed so I can try to get to the bottom of it to which he then started yelling at me calling me a liar and stating that he is going to take legal action and take me to court. I then lost my cool and told him that it is extremely unprofessional to be speaking to me this way and especially threatening legal action before even getting to the bottom of what's going on he continued to try to argue over me telling me he's taking me to court to which I told him to be quiet and stop talking over me or I am hanging up, I repeated again that he needs to provide me with proof that this charge has been disputed and he said "no YOU call YOUR bank because I am sending you court papers" to which I responded "at this point you can contact your own bank and figure it out on your own because this is bullshit and I am no longer willing to professionally speak with you" and hung up. I did send him another text once more stating that he needs to provide me with this proof to which I know there is absolutely none because he is lying, as well as contacted my attorney notifying them of this situation. I will be letting everyone in the area that I know never to book this place as well. Wish I would've read reviews before booking because the reviews of this man being a LIAR, DECEITFUL, and a SCAMMER are absolutely true!!!!!!! read more

Attended a birthday party here. It's okay but the owner was there the whole time checking on everything, but not in the caring "how is everything?" way but instead the "you break you buy" way. We rented this event space for a family party. We discussed table locations and the table linens needed. We arrived at 4 pm to set up. NONE of the tables were out, There was no easel as promised (I followed up several times BEFORE the party) the video projector did not work, he did not even have an extension cord, the screen was sub-parr and the sound system was awful. On top of everything else, the owner had the nerve to meet potential clients to show them the property 45 minutes before our guests arrived, while we were frantically trying to set up the place because HE didn't get things ready. We had to borrow a video projector from one of our guests who lives nearby. Paid $675 for nothing. read more

If you're thinking about renting Lakeview Event Center DON'T! We had my Granddaughters 1st birthday there today. We rented it from 12pm to 5pm. We get there and it is a mess! We ask the guy we rented it from to waive the $50.00 cleanup fee since we had to clean it up before we used it. He said no his cleaners already cleaned because there was a party until 1am yesterday. There was trash on the floor the tables had food on them. So we clean up get our party going he came through several times and around 2pm 3 women come in and start looking around. They are showing it to people for future rental!! On our rented time! So after party we clean up again he comes in and looks for paperwork to return deposit. I tell him you cashed it, remember even though he said he holds the check until after the deposit he cashed it anyway. So we paid another 250 check and 200 cash. 700 total. He asked me to show proof it was taken out of my account! I had to pull up my bank statement to get him to give me my deposit back! Very unprofessional place! Would not reccomend it. read more

Our family recently rented this location and the owner was very sketchy. He didn't want to let us take a picture our signed contract, then when we returned to pay for hall he told us he lost original contract and that we needed to sign a new one, only to find out he was trying to change price per hour. We informed him we had taken a photo of contract and that wasn't the original quoted price. We went ahead with having our event at his location and long story short that was only the beginning of his lies and trying to get more money from our family for bogus and fake permits/security that he never provided like he claimed we needed. In the end, we didn't let him con us and we will never use his location again. If you do go through with using this location, take pictures for proof of contract, what the place looked like before and after you use it. read more

My family booked this venue in November of 2017 to host my mothers surprise 70th birthday party, the process of renting was pretty smooth!. This venue was affordable, spacious, convenient, and completely DIY which is what we wanted for this type of event. The event was absolutely perfect! Being able to have your own liquor is very helpful and easy to manage. You can decorate any way you want It was an over all great experience. My guests loved the space and so did I. The only negative thing I have to say about this is there was a party scheduled to leave at 4:00 p.m. and we needed to get in to decorate before 5:00 pm. The party delayed their exit and left us rushing. With that being said the previous renter didn't empty out the restroom trash which were full of diapers. So the venue was not completely spotless. Despite the small things, I give five stars because our event was amazing! I definitely recommend this space to anyone with an upcoming event! Booked this event center for a birthday party the price was $80.00 an hour, which was fine. Then got charged $100 for cleaning fee and $100 for a security guard (since alcohol is involved), which was also fine. However the owner, Kee Ramjiani, was the security guard and the cleaner. This place was dirty, the kitchen was not clean, the fridge was filthy and the floor had not been mopped. The bathrooms were not any better and you had to bring your own trash bags. When we arrived Kee stated that the security guard would be undercover, never seen an undercover guard, but Kee sat in his car all night watching people and creeping them out. When I asked him if he could turn on the air conditioner he said it will kick on around 8 or 9 pm. At the end of the night, Kee said the guard sat in his car all night (what good does that do?) and then Kee started sweeping the floor. I do not think this place has had a thorough cleaning in years. This could be a nice event center if Kee did not run it. read more

I have been here for several miscellaneous events and each time, the place was less than mediocre. The first time, the toilets backed up into the bathrooms. The owner often uses events to show the space to potential clients - without permission from those that are renting the space. For one event, the people who rented it came in early to set up and realized it was a mess; the mom and the grandmother were scrubbing floors and toilets prior to their event. We rented this space for my sister quincenera. The owner made it sound terrific up until the day of. He double booked and wanted us to come in an hour later due to him having a Zumba class that day and we refused and showed up. The owner kept coming in and out through the event checking up, filming the set up that we set up and fixed himself a plate of food. He brought in clients to show the hall off while our event was going on. We recorded before and after of the hall to show we cleaned and left it clean and left at the correct time. The owner tried to state we left an hour late until we showed the proof from the iPad. His excuse to deduct $75 from the deposit stating they're was a little drops of water on the floor. The security told my mom my sister left in a vehicle and let a fight occur and my mom had to stop it. FYI if you rent this, record before and after of everything even the floor because the owner wants it spotless. Terrible service. read more
