My father passed away back in June and we still don't have his name on his marker but my mother, which is still alive has been added. My father was a veteran and we were told that there was some additional paperwork needed. I must add, we never received a phone call stating additional needed paperwork. Only until family members when out to visit and add flowers did we find out that he name was not on the marker. After calling and inquiring, we were told about the needed information. Once we found this out we faxed over the info and then was told the delay will be longer due to the government being shut down for 43 days. Being told today, should be resolved within the next 1-2 months before his marker is complete. The by far the worse customer service we have had to deal with and not to mention how upset our mother is. We have used this funeral home for many family members and never have had these issues. Lakeview funeral home longview, tx My father-in-law (husband's step father) passed on November 15th. His funeral was preplanned by himself and was assisted 1 year ago by my brother-in-law (at the time my mother-in-law passed).​ It seems this would be a contract (binding agreement by law). Since his death his estranged daughter's who have not had anything to do with him in numerous DECADES have surfaced. In Texas they have rights BUT this funeral home has continuously refused to tell us what is going on after numerous phone calls, knowing our family has already participated in these plans. Today November 22nd- there is NO obituary for my father-in-law (although it appears 7 days ago one was started and removed), information has been passed to us that his funeral will be Tuesday the 26th but no pall bearers or obituary or eulogy by family of 30+ yrs who love him and honor him. This also means no notification to many family, friends, and business associates in his life. It's like a paupers funeral....just get them in the ground. Don't plan your funeral with this business that is unprofessional and disrespects the deceased. THEY WILL NOT HONOR YOUR LOVED ONE. read more

The funeral home services are very unorganized. The director we were assigned (April B) never told us that their would be no chairs for the graveside service. Only a spray was brought to the grave with the remaining plants left inside. The casket was not placed until 5 minutes prior to the service, and then 2 maintenance workers had to come off a tractor to help the 2 funeral home women place the casket on the platform. This was after we specifically asked about the need for pallbearers. Following the service cards and boxes which were to go the family were not ready to get immediately. All in all a very bad experience. This is a great example of what happens when a large corporation buys out a family business. Caring goes out the window. I highly recommend that people in the Longview area use Rader or Welch (Cammack family), and avoid Lakeview. read more

We used Lakeview for my mother. Sara and Kasey helped us. They were so caring and comforting. We were pleased with everything. They helped us with all our needs. There was a mess up on the music but that is the only (little) thing that happened. I would like to thank them for their helpfulness and kindness they showed all of my family and friends. read more

Only good things about our experience for my mother's funeral. Such a difficult time for our family but the Lakeview staff members were compassionate and helpful in every way. My dad purchased a pre-need policy years ago and it saved many dollars. Robert Coleman helped us plan a service that was personal for my mother. The tribute movie is very special. We chose the option for a combined reception and visitation time after the service. Everything was very professional and focused on the family needs. Robert called me multiple times before and after the funeral to be sure all my concerns were addressed. Very pleased with the staff and their services. read more

when my aunt in law passed, my mother in law had the services there. since day one it has been hell with these people. its been over 2 months and my mother in law is still having to fight with these people. she passed in houma Louisiana and was transported to here. they charge my mother in law for the transport and said they would pay the funeral home that transported her. over 2 months later they still haven't paid for transport. the book marks they done are the worst ones I ever seen. the bookmarks were late and then all the dates were wrong. I would want my body throw in the garbage before I would want my family to deal with these people. stay clear. read more
