*BEWARE***DO NOT RECOMMEND***…read more Stephen Rennells at Ozark Auto LLC spent 4 months assuring me a car we were interested in would be a safe reliable family car, surface rust free and would be put through state safety inspections. He was informed several times that we were desperate to get our two young children into a reliable family car without issues as we are a low income disability family and we're in dire need of a car we could afford. He had it worked on with several mechanics for what he claimed was suspension and subframe replacement. Assured us again it was without surface rust or issues and had passed state safety inspections. Mr. Rennells broke several laws and never had the car inspected by a Missouri state inspector. Sold us a car with concealed rust on both the frame and floor pans. With unbolted suspension pieces and bad brakes. The suspension failed and caused a minor traffic incident which lead to the discovery of rubberized paint covering severe rust rot on the cars frame and floor pans.. Several body shops have stated the car is non repairable to a standard that would be considered safe and or road worthy and yet the dealer refuses a refund despite his blatant lies of the vehicles condition, all of which are fully recorded in writing, and is insistent he did nothing wrong by using fraudulent business practices to sell us the car. He admitted in writing he didn't have the car safety inspected and claims it was legal for him to do so. The Missouri highway patrol division begs to differ as does the DMV and countless other Missouri organizations and agencies. Although asked repeatedly the dealer Stephen Rennells at Ozark Auto concealed important facts about the vehicle and lied when asked about several deciding factors in our financing the car which directly endangered the lives of our children that he was made aware would be in the vehicle for a 5 hour long drive home. Mr Rennells failed to date our contracts correctly, spell my name correctly or provide a state requirement of a safety inspection for the vehicle before the sale of the vehicle as required by Missouri state law. He also failed to sign several contracts and lied about who would hold our financing of the vehicle. It is public knowledge that there are other complaints against his business with the Missouri state attorney generals office with zero retributions having been met through their office. Do not recommend his business as he used false information on his vehicle to get us to purchase which is a fraudulent crime in the state of Missouri and in the United States as a whole and showed little care for the safety of children and families whom he directly placed into said vehicle and lied to and decieved myself and my husband who is a disabled person. The assumed level of trust a consumer is meant to have when buying used cars from a dealer instead of a private party was not even close to being met and our personal experience with this dealer at Ozark Auto is not one we would ever recommend to someone when looking for a trustworthy or reputable honest used car dealership. **Buyer beware**

In the wake of this, I was not presented with much of a solution other than pursuing the matter in small claims court, to which afterwards he had the unmitigated gall to say he stepped up and fixed it. Mind you, this had been after months of the transmission going out. Simply put, buyer beware. And should you experience any issues, you'll likely be dealing with them on your own.

I bought a 2013 Ram 2500 Laramie almost a year ago there and the truck has been nothing but issues…read more 1st thing I noticed was notification on dash said turn signal was out and it was not. Salesman told me it was because it had LEDs. On further investigation i found most of the LED lights that suppoedly caused the issue were factory when i went to install the proper conversion harness. There are some that are not factory because they are missing the RAM logo that the other ones have. Then I investigated further and found other aftermarket body parts indicating that it had been involved in a collision. They had behind the paperwork that they produced said it had a clean history report. According to their salesman they also oown Taylor Chrysler Jeep Ram. If that is the case then they would know there is aftermarket body parts on it and there was something wrong with their report. Next thing the check engine light came on and I gave them every code that my truck said was wrong with it. All emissions system problems. They said no problem and I dropped it off. They said battery cable was loose and gave it back. Then after several driving cycles the light came back on for the same issues. Indicating all they did to fix it was reset the ECM. I called and a woman told me they were with other customers and no one called me back. I called several more times with similar results. I reported to BBB and they said they gave me a 90 day warranty and conveniently no one remembered me calling. I am hearing impaired so I didn't hear the brakes making noise until after I got new hearing aids. I asked my wife and neighbor if it has always done that and they said yes. I found a locked up caliper, missing brake pad, broken leaf spring, and all components of emergency brake missing on right rear. I brought this to their attention via BBB complaint and they said it passed state inspection. Which i know is untrue or their inspector needs fired because it had a gouge in side wall of right rear tire when I bought it, all tires were mismatched, emissions system issue, broken leaf in spring pack, message saying turn signal out, and missing brake parts. Missouri state patrol said missing parking brake components wouldn't cause it to fail but everything else i mentioned would and the statute of limitations is 5 years to report it but it was strongly encouraged that you report such cases as soon as you find out and don't fix anything. Some issues still exist that would cause it to fail. It will going through inspection this year even though inspection is supposed to be good for 2 years per Missouri State Patrol. Will update when it's inspected if I can. They hid everything wrong with paperwork and spray paint literally because they spay painted the rocker panels and I wore off showing rust a few months after I bought it. Not sure what else they covered up literally just yet. My advice don't buy from either one of their dealerships and if you did go get it inspected immediately by a reputable place like Piney River Ford.

The latest contact Anthony Rhodes however does seem to be a 'bad actor'. I was considering buying a car from him mainly over the internet. I did speak with Anthony by phone, and negotiated a delivered price with him. I even signed a buying contract with him. Then things began to unravel. Anthony sent along a copy of the title even without me asking. The title showed the car to be in the name of Midtown Motors. I decided to call Missouri DMV to check the title. Turns out the VIN was not in the state's database. The car was shown to be in New York, and the title number was associated with a different car. At this point it was very clear that this was a scam, and that Anthony was hopeful that I would wire the money for the car purchase to him, and he would escape without delivering a car. The Midtown Motors Web site seems to be no longer functional and the associated emails don't work either. Really glad I figured this out before wiring any money. Be careful SCAM ALERT
