It has no usable free weights--just a few treadmills and a pull-up bar--which is an area that could definitely use improvement. Had dinner at HK's one night - dinner was fine, but it was clear the property is in disrepair; the window we sat next to had a big crack in it, and we could see outside that the wood over the walkway was rotting out and the landscaping needed a good weeding and cleanup. Another young lady came over and stated it was an on line glitch and cancelled the second room but the Manager Mel would only refund me half of the room fee for a second room I never booked. Now I have to dispute the charge. Don't book on line. The room stunk, the door doesn't seal when fully shut. You can hear everyone around you because it's poorly insulated and just a dirty property. I would never stay again, very disappointing for the 1st time at Lake of the Ozarks.

You can tell it is family owned and they take pride in it. The rates were very reasonable- we got a 4 hour rental for $180 plus gas, and I only called yesterday to reserve it. Must be 25 with a credit card and valid driver's license to rent. The owner was very thorough in explaining how to use the boat, gave directions around the area, pointers and tips in case we got lost, help with how to maneuver the boat in case of choppy waters or wake from other boats, etc. The boat was clean and quite easy to use. They also have jet skis and speed boats as well as tubes available for rent, also at very reasonable prices. He made suggestions for places to eat, asked if we had a good time- a very personable guy. I would definitely use this company again. They also have vacation cottages available for rent here.
