I paid for a full new set of nails before I had to fly to California for work. Within a few days several nails broke off. Very frustrating that nail salons charge so much money and the nails don't last longer than a few days

I'm in town visiting from Las Vegas. I have become spoiled to a 24/7 town and forget what a sleepy little town Venice is! On Saturday around 4pm I finally get around to looking for a place to get a mani/pedi. Only to see places start closing between 5-7pm. Lam was recommended so I called them first to see if they could fit me in. They could!! Even though this "appointment" took them past closing time they did not rush or do a short job. My nails have survived 4days of playing in the sand. I will definitely come back! ***come prepared as they only take cash***

Really clean, nice quiet place to get tour nails done. I called ahead for 3 manicures and there was two nail techs ready so the third person had to wait a bit. The ladies were very nice. Hard to understand a little bit but you get that anywhere. They are closing for remodeling so I'm looking forward for that. 15$ for one manicure which is typical price. Would come again :)

Let me preface this review by saying I am probably the most picky person on this planet when it comes to my nails... We just moved to the area at the beginning of April and I have been going to the same nail tech back home for the last 10 years (I know like I said - picky). I was struggling to find a nail place that I felt like would do a good job (based on reviews) and without knowing anyone in the area, I didn't have a ton of people I could ask. Then I stumbled upon this place. Based on the reviews, I figured I would give it a try since I was already 2 weeks past due on my dip redo and... I am SO BEYOND glad I did and I have found my new nail spot! My appointment was this past Monday and ALAN is the best. He listened to exactly what I wanted and even asked multiple times during the appointment if I was still happy and liking them. 10/10 so happy I took a leap of faith. I have been a "once in a while" customer of Lam Nails for many years, and a lifetime local. I don't recall if I have ever reviewed the salon but if I have not then this long overdue. I'm not a woman who spoils herself as much as I should. But when I do it's off to Lam for a relaxing manicure and pedicure and even a spur of the moment eyebrow wax. I just call and ask if they have an opening and I'm in! Rarely do I need to wait longer than 1 day. They are super accommodating, know me by name and always remember what I like which to me is pretty cool. The vibe is casual and welcoming, not "frilly fu-fu" which to me is refreshing because that stuff is so extra. The prices are fair and I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off. The salon is clean and comfortable and feels like I'm hanging out with family. Totally professional as well. read more

Customers beware of cash only scams. There is a new gentlemen working in the 3rd chair on the right who skimmed me of my change. Gave me $16 back on a $50 for a $30 charge. He also insisted on an up-charge which I said no to totaling $9 dollars. (Plus I tipped %20) So he made an extra $15 on a polish change ONLY. This area predominantly consist of elderly population, so if this is happening to anyone else he should be fired!! It's a shame because my nails look good and I have been there before but will not be going back. read more

While the work done was good, I would not go back. I called for a color change and was told $12. When seated he asked me if I wanted my nails cut And I agreed. So I was fine with him charging $15. When I called the next time, he said it would be $20. I am very happy at Davi Nails in Walmart now Where they do great work and are friendly. Rates are posted. They charge $15. But I got a full pedicure for $25. read more

I left my "Go To" Salon of over 10 years because my monthly pedicures lacked the relaxing effect they once had. I'm so very happy for their success, but for me, it felt like an assembly line. I did my research, and made an appointment for a Deluxe Pedicure after reading reviews. I was so pleased with everything about my visit! My Technician, Ai (I may have spelled her name incorrectly-sorry!) was so friendly! I actually nodded off during the relaxing service that lasted a full hour! The polish was beautiful, but even the cleaning was gentle under Ai's skilled hands. Lam Nails is a small, quiet, clean salon. I look forward to my monthly pedicures and the relaxing and refreshing effect once again! I highly recommend Lam Nails! read more

I got a basic pedicure. They took me right at my appointment time and were very clean and efficient. My toes look fabulous. They take cash only. The pedicure was $28 including taxes, well worth it. read more

I had a very pleasant experience at Lam Nails. I had read the Yelp reviews and I'm glad that they were spot on. I'm visiting my grandma and I didn't know of any good nail salons in the area. I called and set an appointment. They saw me shortly after my appointment time. Everything was clean. The massage chairs are excellent and gave my lower back some much needed TLC. I had a male technician who was great. He gave me an amazing leg/foot massage and did my toes and fingernails perfectly. The price was right at $40 for the deluxe pedicure and regular manicure. Overall a great nail salon and I wish it was in my home town of Boston! read more

It has taken 2 months to heal from an injury I received at this salon during a pedicure. The "technician" used a grater on my heals to remove callous build up. She was so rough and was so distracted while she was doing this that she wasn't even looking at my foot most of the time. When I got home I realized that along with callous she removed a large chunk of my heel. I had to see my doctor for treatment and it has taken 2 months to heal. I would highly discourage anyone from going to this shop and in retrospect I really should have perused some legal recourse to prevent this from happening to anyone else. read more

After looking online for a nail salon and reading reviews I got the impression that walk-ins get inferior service. So a made an appointment with Lam... and was not disappointed. It's a small salon and everyone speaks good English. My pedicure was thorough and the massage that went along with it great. I would recommend checking them out. read more

Nice, clean place. Friendly people. Very nice work. I don't want to sound difficult, but in other places the nail technicians often carry on long conversations with each other in Vietnamese. I feel that it is rude. Fyi when I travel I try to learn a few phrases, but wish I had more language ability. read more

I moved to Venice a few years ago. I admit, after getting manicures and pedicures for years, I'm picky, picky, picky. I tried a few local salons and was not only disappointed with the finished product but in one case creeped out by the lack of hygiene (I left without service). I was referred to LAM by a friend and this is the ONLY place I'll go. Entire staff is meticulous, friendly, and CLEAN. :-) Highly recommend! LOVE IT! read more

What a wonderful little place this is! The husband/wife owners are so sweet, accommodating and clean. The salon is well kept and organized. I have never had a bad experience and I never feel rushed. The weekend of my wedding they stayed open late so my sister and mom could get last minute manicures. Now that's customer service! Anyone who lives in the area or just on vacation should make this stop for sure! read more

Nice little find on vacation. Quality of work is great and price is about what I would expect at home. Limited color choices in dipping powder but he explained to me that dipping powder isn't as popular for the locals as it is for those traveling. Would definitely visit again. read more

I have been going to Lam nails for the past 3 years. I chose the business for convenience and close proximity to my home but am loyal customer for the excellent service and loving family atmosphere. Mai and Alan are attentive and professional and their shop is clean and tidy. The prices are unbeatable and I find a visit here to be the best stress therapy anywhere! read more

I have been enjoying Lam Nails pedicures and gel manicures for 4 years on a very regular basis. In the 35 years I've been getting my nails professionally done all over the country, I have to put this shop at the very TOP of my list. Neo Nails is a wonderful place to get your nails done! CLEAN, EXCELLENT prices and EXCELLENT people. The staff is friendly and make you feel so welcome and relaxed. I could sit all day in their massaging chairs! I do recommend this to all who want a wonderful manicure/pedicure experience. It was so nice. read more

I come to the area often and when I do, I always get my nails done at Lam Nails. They are all so friendly. I have gone to each nail technician and they are all so wonderful!! I highly recommend when you are in the area you come here to get your nails done! read more

Awful !!! Cut me and made me bleed, TWICE !!!!! Tips were put on crooked, very thick and awkward. I had to file nails myself. Poor variety of colors. Store needed a thorough cleaning. Will not be returning. Definitely do not recommend. read more
