Beautiful venue! The owners are extremely helpful and amazing people that have been added for longer than most of us have been in Texas.

We had our daughters Quince photoshoot here. The whole place has a majestic royal vibe to it almost like stepping back in time. I'm fascinated by old architecture and the materials to build these places is just mind blowing to me. Anyway, we rented the place for 2 hours, captured some great shots. I will say the only drawback was is that there was really no flexibility on allotted time. When the 2 hours it's up it is up and you must gather your things and go! I felt rushed out but understood that it wasn't the owners fault I'm going over on time. Other than that I would definitely want to return for an event someday at this place. I don't even know where to begin. We had my daughter's graduation party here last week. It was their classic 1920's package, and I want to start off by saying I am used to throwing amazing parties and doing everything myself. Everything. I am absolutely blown away by the level of service and empathy and care that was put into this event. It wasn't like we were a wedding of 100 people... we maybe had 35. But they treated us like we were the most important guests in the world, and every detail, every tiny thing, was taken care of with upmost attention to detail and kindness. I can't say enough. The house? Spectacular. The food? Perfect. The decorations? Absolutely gorgeous. My guests were stunned. If you are looking for a unique venue with wonderful hosts... just stop looking. Lambermont was built in 1894 and was modeled after European castles. Yes a castle here in San Antonio. How cool is that? The house is beautiful and so are the grounds. And the porch is amazing. I have to agree with previous review on the haunted tavern event. I was expecting something different : more paranormal 'Hits': The 4 Halloween drinks were outstanding The servers did their level best & Were so pleasant: Event overcrowded ? Took forever to get served! during which we were subjected to loud music So basically I sat by myself & heard dumb ghost stories outside . The tour was only several rooms in the beautiful House because someone staying upstairs. Don't recommend for the $ 40$ read more

Terrell Castle! San Antonio's own castle! This place is a really cool place to have an event or a party. You can't just show up unannounced, you gotta schedule an event with them. They'll be happy to host your party, social gathering, wedding or Bar Mitzvah. They have a huge house, with a sprawling, beautifully maintained yard, with lots of space for a DJ or a band to set up, with dancing and general merriment. The castle is super haunted. There's some weird mojo going on here. When using the restroom, you could hear other-worldly feet treading on the ceiling above you, and a spirit rattled the restroom door handle while I was in there. That was one of the main drawbacks- the ghosts who don't seem to be at peace with the universe, and a lack of restrooms. They only have a few lavatories, considering the large numbers of revelers they can handle. The ghosts give the place a spooky vibe. The staff was very nice, showing us around, answering our questions. They just shrugged when I asked about the phantasm on the balcony upstairs, or the smell of ghostly cigar smoke coming from the library, when there was nobody smoking... read more

Lambermont Castle is nestled in a historical downtown area of San Antonio, who would have ever thought a place like this would be here? I sure in the heck didn't! Once you enter inside the castle, you are immediately taken back in time; you quickly notice the crystal chandeliers, brick fireplace and the hand-carved wood. I recently had the opportunity to come to this venue for a party that held over 300+ people and this place was definitely able to accommodate that big size. The Lambermont Castle can be rented out the whole weekend (for special events), or for one day events. There are multiple rooms inside the castle that consist of: Honeymoon Suite, Bridal Room, and Masculine Groom's Room. A 3rd floor Hair and Makeup Room as well as a Children's Room. This place was gorgeous! I work as an event coordinator and I wish this event space or a similar concept existed where I live. I was blown away by the venue! The house (mansion) was beautiful and was decorated to match the event I attended perfectly. The backyard is what stole the show though. It was so spacious that it was filled with vendors and giant yard games and still had room for hundreds of attendees to move around. Would love to host a huge party/wedding here! read more

What an incredible venue. A true treasure to be found. It's majestic--it looks like a castle! The Lambermont is a somewhat new event venue that opened up in 2011, after a 3-year renovation project by its owners. It's one of those places you have to see to believe. Perhaps that is the case mostly due to the fact that it's tucked away in the low traffic, yet up and coming, Government Hill District--just across the street from the southern most part of Ft. Sam Houston. I discovered this place because I work in the immediate area. I drove past the building daily seeing its progress over time until, upon it's completion, I noticed a banner hanging in front of the property. During a lunchtime walk I decided to check out what this banner read and was delighted to discover it was/is an event venue. I took a chance and knocked on the door to be greeted by the Lambermont's owner and operator Dona. She turned out to be super nice and gracious showing me around 3 floors of the 4 level (not including attic and basement) home. It was amazing! Plus learning the history of the home/venue is a treat. You feel like a kid exploring spaces you shouldn't be treading. It's really kinda exciting--if you are into older homes, structures and history. The grounds are lush and inviting and the venue is set up for most needs any planner might need (electricity, ice machine, service kitchen and more). OH, I also found out that when renting the venue it includes the 4 fantastic guest rooms in the home. Dona did a fabulous job of renovating the home to its original layout and the antique furniture in the rooms and throughout the house adds the perfect touch. After checking out the house that day I booked the space on the spot for an event. To date, Dona and the Lambermont have been a treat to work with. They really understand the needs of event planners and are very willing to help wherever and whenever possible. While planning I have had loads of colleagues and partners visit the Lambermont and each time, without fail, everyone is in awe and surprise of this gem of a space. I highly recommend checking out this space. It'll make you feel like a princess--or at the very least, the court. ;) read more

The place obviously looks amazing. That's the easy part. Being a good host that understands the stresses of wedding planning and making your event the most spectacular...that's the hard part. Dona and Erica made it look easy. They were unbelievable. The reason they accel at this is because the care. It's that simple. They take pride in what they do and do it well. They were more than accommodating. They were excellent communicators. Nothing fell through the cracks. They were "on" all night. By the time I noticed something was not going to plan, they already had a solution to fix it without me having to ask. Absolutely amazing to say the least with it's vintage flare yet modern conveniences to make your special day memorable and your wedding night sensational.Donna is a gem as she assists the flow of the day of the event with her expertise.She has an eye for detail and adds special little nuances that make this stay especially comforting after a long day of believe it or not stress, the jacuzzi is just what a couple needs to relax and enjoy their honeymoon. We loved the plush spa quality his and her robes, our wedding 12/12/12 @ 12:00 was a date to remember and so was the Lambermont Event Venue!! It was our videographer and photographers dream location with so many ornate Christmas decorations that created stunning backdrops for their work.
