Pros: We got into contract, and we closed our sale, even though our purchaser was apparently…read moreunusually difficult. We closed on the day we had agreed with the Purchaser. Ronald was always polite (even when we were pushing him hard). The numbers at close seemed correct (which I understand isn't always the case with other attorneys). There was a fixed fee that did not get altered, and we were able to close remotely using Power of Attorney including from overseas which was convenient for us. We were usually able to get an email back from our attorney on the day we sent one. The firm didn't give up on us even when it was obvious we were frustrated. Cons: Although we had started out explaining that speed really mattered to us, it felt that we had to provide all the momentum to keep the deal process running. It was hard to get hold of Ronald because he was usually at a close or with a client. Days would go by without updates if we didn't push (and it seemed that sometimes information had sat in our attorney's inbox for some time before it was passed on to us). During the lead-up to contract signing we had to repeat information several times and we had to identify issues with the purchaser's rider, researching every matter ourselves since we did not feel we were receiving any legal advice from our attorneys. We also felt we had to fight for our own interests as our attorneys didn't want to change language proposed by the purchasers that put us at risk. Conclusion: if the deal/purchaser is simple, you don't need legal advice, and you are not in a particular hurry, Ronald at Mekhtiyev Law Firm could provide a pleasant and polite service with accurate numbers at close.
