Have ordered from them 7 times. First time I call in with a question they were very dismissive and encouraged to shop else where. I was not asking for anything more than what I paid for. Even if you pay for fast shipping be very aware of their shipping policy if what you need is time sensitive. 2nd day can be 4 days or more depending on what day of week you order. I'm very happy w/ Lambert, and have tried almost all of the online vet supply companies. The other companies are awful -- you can never reach anyone on the phone, they never contact your vet to get your prescription, and leave you hanging when you think you have ordered meds and are patiently waiting for them. Lambert is the antidote to all of that -- you call, someone answers, and they are knowledgeable! Their website is pretty straightforward, and if you ask them to contact your vet for an Rx, they do! I have had the worst experience with this company. I would recommend choosing another company for your pets needs. I have been struggling to get a box of heart worm preventative since last week. I still have not received it. They blamed me for online ordering then they blamed my Vet. They dropped the ball and wouldn't own the problem. I spent 2 hours yesterday calling my Vet and Lambert speaking with a receptionist named Heather who has zero control over ordering and Lois who told me that the fax number was wrong, that my Vet wouldn't authorize the heart worm medicine and that I should fix the fax number? My Vet never spoke to them and the front desk said they sent over the paperwork. I have had the same Vet for 10 years. I know them. So Lambert out right lied. So bizarre. It's the same info I have used for the past year or so. They are also infamous for not answering their phones. Winter storm or not. All of this drama over a $25 box of Heartguard. Wow. Ordered and paid $12.99 for 2 day shipping on items I needed. Placed order on Thurs. They send me tracking number, showing item eta is Tues. That is 5 days later, didn't spend extra for 5 day delivery nor would I have ordered if I new they couldn't actually supply fast delivery. First time/last time customer. You don't understand how important this when your ' Best Friends" medicine is so expensive,..literally I can allow my dog to perhaps live 4 months longer. Great pricing but extremely lousy follow through. I placed an order for vaccines and paid for overnight shipping. Waited for a few days and got nothing. So I called Lambert to inquire. Turns out that one of the items I ordered was not able to be shipped to Texas and they were waiting on what to ship the order??? Told them that was fine, but that I wanted the rest of my order sent out. I was told that one other vaccine item was being shipped from another location and wouldn't be shipped until the following Monday (was currently Thursday when this conversation took place). Received first portion of my order the next day on Friday. Tuesday then came and no 2nd delivery. Called on Wednesday, 7/1, and inquired. Was told that FedEx had a weather delay and it would be delivered today. Told the CS agent that I would wait for delivery and find out if the vaccines were still cold enough upon delivery to be used. Package was delivered a couple of hours later and all of the ice packs had long ago melted and turned to water. The vaccines were barely cool at best. I then phoned Lambert's CS agent for the 2nd time today and told her about the condition of the 2nd vaccine shipment. She began to tell me that if they were still cool to the touch, that they would be OK. I told her the only way that logic could ever be proved was if they were used on the animals and they failed which was an unacceptable risk. She then wanted to know how many ice packs were in the container, to which I told her I thought it was 3. She then informed me she needed an exact count in order to file a complaint with QC in Shipping. What a wreck this experience was :-( Whether there were 3 or 13 ice packs in the dang cooler, the proper CS response would have been to apologize profusely from the beginning and expedite a replacement order to the customer ASAP as we were already 5 days behind the original target delivery date. Needless to say by the time I was able to verify the exact number of ice packs in the shipment (which was 3), due to the time zone difference, Lambert had already left for the day. BOO!!! HISS!!! I don't post much, but needed to get in my 2 cents here. I saw a lot of 1 star reviews. I found Lambert on the web about a year ago. I've been using them ever since then for my cat's medicine. Lambert has been nothing but stellar in their customer service. They answer the phone with courteous people and always stay on top of my orders. As long as their pricing stays fair, I will never look to go anywhere else. I have a hard time believing that I'm getting any special treatment. I would give Lambert Vet Supply 0 stars if it was possible, AWFUL customer service. I have purchased with LVS once before and my dogs vet only sends out faxes to hospitals, therefore I called the vet immediately after placing my order to set up a time to pick up scripts to fax to LVS, once the vet told me they couldn't provide the script due to my dog needing a heart worm check in May and that they would only provide single doses until then, I called LVS and their line rang leading to no voicemail, then I emailed the next day and received an email from a rep the following day stating that-- I would receive a confirmation email stating the medication wouldn't ship and that order has been cancelled, but my other two medications would ship and I would receive the credit on my card considering it was only pre authorized. However, I was charged the full amount, my shipping email had the medication I requested to be taken off (less than 24 hours from ordering) and again, showed me being charged the full amount. I received my order and it didn't contain the medication I requested to not be sent, but yet I was charged for it! Well, if I was charged for it, it said it was in the shipment then I expect for it to be in the package! Also, the boxes the medications came in were awful, they weren't just squished from the nature of shipping; they were torn, squished, the medications were falling out of the boxes. I have contacted customer service 3 times since receiving my order; called, left msg and sent emails (a very detailed message stating exactly what happened from start to finish), no response at all besides once when I opened my order and I called, the woman could barely help because she "didn't help with these issues" but told me she could see that I was given a $10 refund which doesn't even cover half of what the medication cost. That was on March 25 and here it is March 29th and I still haven't heard a thing (but yet they have no problem sending me promotional emails) Save yourself the frustration, dissatisfaction and aggravation and order from 1-800 PetMeds or some place similar!!!!!! They may be a little more expensive, but the convenience is worth every penny! read more

If you prefer to purchase pet meds online as I do, look for a better option than Lambert. I called ahead when I needed heart medication since I needed expedited service. I followed their website instructions exactly. I then called customer service to ensure the order would be shipped that day. I was promised by Lambert it would be. WRONG. They did not mail it on time forcing me to drive an hour and pay double at an in state vet. Their concession was $10 off my next order and they provided a promo code. Whoopee! I decided to give them one more chance and placed another order the following month(July). The code provided expired in March even though the rep provided it to me in June. Seriously, mistake after mistake and I don't trust them any longer with my pets' medications. read more

These folks are fishy. First off this is my first bad review I have ever written. I bought Trifexis from these folks. They sent me the medicine without the original box. Doesn't sound like a big deal. Without that you have no idea what the date is or whether it is valid. I wrote them about it several times. They totally ignored it. I am going to file a bbb claim against them. My belief is they are either selling expired products or they are making a fortune on the rebates that come with this expensive product. See without the box, I cannot get the rebates that is being offered .....but they can.....Can you imagine how much money they are getting back in rebates that should be going to the customers? This has got to be fraud. Again they don't say they are keeping the original box and then to totally ignore me when I ask for it... It is wrong. Don't use them. They don't even have the best prices. I'm disappointed in all the bad reviews. I e-mail LVS with my requests. I tell them how fast I need each item and I get a response back in minutes. I have 4 pugs. One see's a specialist and another my regular vet. They contact my vets right away and I receive a shipping notice right away. They even group items in separate shipments to maximize my shipping money! I personally don't care for FedEx but that's who they primarily work with so I deal with it. MUCH better shipping. I wanted my shipment delivered on Saturday so I chose overnight shipping, they don't do Saturday shipping so I got my package on Monday. I had to jump through hoops and after doing everything they advised, I still ended up paying an EXTRA $13 in shipping! And it's not the $13..it's the principle of it all. The website said it would be 2 day shipping. 7 days later I call them because the package is still not here and I hadn't even received the email that said it had shipped. Their customer support transferred me to some other company (I think the one that runs their website) who gave me the number of their supplier. They wanted me, the customer, to call up their supplier and track down my order in one of their several warehouses. That is ridiculous. We used Lambert Vet Supply in the past, but we stopped because production of our dog's medication was discontinued. After buying a new medicine from our local vet center for a while, it stopped carrying the drug, so we've come full circle back to Lambert Vet Supply. We've never had any challenges this company. All the customer reps via phone have been very patient and helpful. In fact, the reason I'm writing is to compliment Ms. Chantal W., who has been assisting me in working with our vet's pharmacy to take care of a miscommunication. Chantal worked doggedly in contacting and straightening out my problem--- calling our vet's pharmacy several times, leaving messages for them, then following up w/ me---even on a weekend! After I thanked her then apologized for causing her so much extra work, she kindly said that it was no problem and it was her job to help take care of the issue. After it was straightened out, she encouraged me to contact Lambert Vet Supply for future pet needs and even offered to personally help me again herself! I'm writing this review because I was really hesitant to order from Lambert Vet Supply due to the two low ratings here. I took my chances and bought $100 worth of toys and games for my dog two weeks ago; they came last week right on time, no issues. Great prices, I was really impressed. A few days later I placed another $100 order and this time my order included Sentinel (heartworm preventive) with a note for Lambert to contact my vet for the prescription. I waited with baited breath, figuring this is where the problem would occur. NOPE! No issues AT ALL...the rest of my order arrived yesterday and the Sentinel, which ships separately, is at my local post office today. I even called customer service to check on the Sentinel; Becky pulled up my order via my phone number (without even asking for my number!!) - first time that's ever happened with any retailer!
