This is the 4th time using Lamphere's. They are excellent. They respond quickly, do a great job and clean it all up when they are finished.

Ordered two face chords of seasoned firewood and definitely received that and a little bit more based on past years deliveries from other companies. Cost was $220 delivered which is fair based on other competitive quotes. However, many of the pieces of split wood are heavier than expected indicating high moisture content which is not great for burning in your fireplace. Visually wood appears to be aged/seasoned and does not appear to be fresh cut from this year. I am speculating that this is from the wood sitting outside in rain uncovered and and getting water logged and hope it dries out while stacked in my garage over the coming month. Only time will tell but I have not seen such heavy/wet pieces of wood in the past, certainly not to the extent I am seeing in my shipment of wood. Overall two stars based primarily on generous size/amount of delivered wood with a bit of concern on the moisture problem. read more

Great, reasonable tree service. They cut down 4 trees for me and did a great job and cleaned up well afterwards

Ordered 1 face cord at 110 including delivery. For that price I expected to at least get some decent wood. The wood was split nice and all hardwood however it was not a full face and the wood was not properly seasoned. Very hard to start and hisses all night. Would not recommend. read more

Firewood was delivered for 2015 winter and it was bad wood. They claimed it was seasoned but it did not burn it just smoldered and went out. Wood was heavy so it must have been waterlogged and not tarped. I tried drying wood inside the house for 3-5 days and it helped a little but I rally had to "baby" the start of a fire with kindling even though I have fire starter. Will NOT use Lampheres again. Oh, brother in law had the same issues at his house after his delivery!!! read more
