Out of no where, a week from the trip we get an email that our reservation has been cancelled for maintenance.... excuse me? No phone call, or attempt to rebook us elsewhere. WOW. The fire rings have a grill grate, and the camp sites have a picnic table. Bundles of wood are available for $7/ea. The tent sites are very close to each other, so if you've envisioned the whole "getting away" experience, think again. "Houston, we have a problem..." Be prepared for sounds of traffic, small aircraft, shoveling gravel, children crying/screaming/shrieking, horns honking, inconsiderately loud people incessantly cackling/laughing/arguing/talking, wake up alarms that sound the full 10 minutes, bells, buzzers, tea kettles, music and general malaise at all hours of the night and morning. But if you're cool with that, then this should be on your short list of campgrounds. And if you can look past it all, and slow dance with your sweetie to the radio broadcasted from an adjoining site, then you've really won, haven't you? Lots of trees, so bring a hammock.

Refused to refund any portion of the payment when unforeseen circumstances prevented me from traveling, despite offering to cover a significant amount of the cost myself. Was told that they would then Resell the space to someone else since I did not show up, despite keeping 100% of my funds paid for a month long stay. Hard to get the office staff on the phone when I tried to call to cancel on a Saturday. Very disappointing, especially given positive experiences I had with this park under past ownership.

Each site it huge and can accommodate lots of people. There is a covered area that has 6 bench tables, prep table and a large grill. They even have electricity under the prep table. Just a little ways away, near the parking area, are bathroom. Each one has electricity and are lit in the inside. Everything is well maintained. The campground supervisor comes by every night to check in you. This is just to make sure everything is in order and that there isn't random people occupying the space or creating disturbances for the other campers. You may see some cows. The roam around lot. It's worth the drive out. Really nice camp grounds. Would highly recommend it.

They are run down and very dirty from years of use and poor design. But they have been renovating cabins and building new ones to the point where you only need to avoid (at all cost) booking cabin number 5. All the other accommodations are great. The motel portion offers a bed and a bathroom at a very reasonable price. The trail bunkhouses include a kitchenet. And the cabins offer a full kitchen with porches that face the creek. The location cannot be beat. There's beautiful forest all around, a great restaurant with live music (on the weekends) within walking distance, and of course the creek. But best of all is the staff. We have been to the Christopher Creek Lodge on five or more occasions and interacted with many different staff. Every last one of them had been kind and as helpful is possible. If you show up early, they try to get you into your cabin early. If you need something afterhours, they have a phone number to call and they respond. Thanks to the staff the place has a warm, friendly, family feel.
