Dr St Onge is a surgical Rock Star! I had decades old herniated discs since a childhood injury. One disc finally pushed into a nerve in my spine, effectively crippling me in pain. Not a happy camper! Have plantar fasciitis & the Dr did not perform the surgery for plantar fasciitis, which is an Endoscopic Plantar Fasciotomy (EPF). Instead of having 2 small incisions on either side of ankle w/the EPF surgery I have a 3.25" scar from bottom of my foot up past the back part of my ankle. Let me tell you, 6 months later it still hurts like Hell. Also have a 1.5" scar on inside of calf where they went in an cut the back of my calf muscle. Been doing all exercises recommended by physical therapist & it's not helping. Why diagnose someone with plantar fasciitis & then perform 2 different surgeries (gastrocnemius recession & tarsal tunnel release)??? Had the Dr. explained all this BS & that it would take 10-12 MONTHS to heal I would never have had these surgeries. I went to LOG b/c I had 2 successful arm surgeries with no issues (2012 & 2014). Thought I could trust them, but this experience turned out to be a fiasco! Had to call nursing staff for a question & she was extremely rude. The Dr. had the nerve to put in my records that I had issues w/ the nursing staff. NO, just the one who was nasty on the phone...yeah you Heather! And to top it all of I asked how long it would take till I could drive afterwards & was originally told 6-8 wks. I thought, Yay, I'll be good to go for summer camping. NOT! Each visit I was told it would take longer to heal. After complaining to office manager about how I was treated by nurse, PAC & Dr I knew my last follow-up would be my LAST visit b/c I knew they wanted rid of me for speaking my mind. Oh, this Dr. didn't even know that he was the one who ordered the MRI. They charged $61 for heal inserts that you can get @ Walmart for $8. All the Dr. & his PAC did was LIE, LIE, LIE! Gung-ho surgery happy freaks. Wish I'd have gotten another opinion before it was too late. read more

This place is the worst. Just to go over test results they leave me waiting for over 30 minutes. Still no one in to see me. Tried to send a message a week before my appointment to go over the results via phone or zoom( I have to work also). I had two knee replacement last year with Dr Conrad. I came out of Surgery with a broken leg I didn't have before the surgery . The Dr never told me it was broken, instead he ordered physical therapy. So for three months I did physical therapy with a broken leg. Dr Conrad spends a maximum of 2 minutes with his patients. I then went to another surgeon (Dr Brislin) He doesn't belong to Lancaster Orthopedic Group. He had to do reconstruction surgery. I have previously gone to other Dr's at LOG and they were good Dr's. however I will not be back to LOG. read more

I will never go to this practice again. Their doctors have a horrible bedside manner. One even non-chalantly told me I might "go to sleep and never wake up" if I had very commonplace surgery. Worse this practice employs people who do not understand Medicare billing AT ALL. I was given a bill for the first time and it claimed I already owed a late fee. How can I owe a late fee for something I have never been billed for before? Over two weeks and talking to three different people I was told constantly changing and contradictory stories Finally I found out the late fee was actually a bad debt that Medicare did not pay and that I am not responsible for. I wasted tons of time what should have been a simple problem. AVOID this place. They are not worth the aggravation! read more

I went to the Urgent Care at LOG with very distinct symptoms. The PA, Craig Lehmann, saw me and ordered a back x-ray and prescribed an anti-inflammatory and PT. If not for some PT advise and a second opinion, I would have not known that I had all the symptoms of Foot Drop which needs to be addressed in a timely manner. Craig totally dismissed some of the other symptoms that I presented and said they were unrelated. After a second opinion, I was sent immediately for an MRI with an immediate scheduled surgery to relieve the pressure on the nerve causing the numbness and loss of strength in my foot. Just very mad and disappointed that he did not recognize Foot Drop as an orthopedic PA! read more

I unfortunately suffered an knee injury and went here first (referred by urgent care). It was easy to schedule an appointment quickly which was nice. Unfortunately I can't say many good things about the appointment itself. First a nurse took my blood pressure and asked me a few questions. Then another person came in, quickly introduces herself (I think she was a PA), and went right into asking me to try to move the injured leg. I then saw the doctor and the only thing he was concerned with was that I wasn't wearing the correct brace. He never addressed pain concerns, daily tasks I should or shouldn't be doing, if I should put weight on the leg, how often, etc. As you can see I had many unanswered question since the nurse put a new brace on and I was told that concluded the visit. Needless to say I canceled my 4 week follow up here. read more

The physical therapist and doctors assistant as well as the front desk were very nice and helpful.doctor was just ok ...didn't say much just kind of stopped in because he had to I guess.main issue ...they sent me home with two wrist braces that I told them I don't want unless they are free.4 people assured me it's complimentary and not to worry....4. I have blue cross blue shield,but I know I can buy a wrist brace from amazon for $5. A few weeks later I got a bill for both wrist braces...called to then be bounced around to 6 different people over the phone who couldn't help me . No one is helpful if you have an issue ...so good luck.i mean it's fine until it's not fine I guess . They never resolved the issue. I just paid the bill to protect my credit but I feel scammed . I decided two days later to cancel my proposed MRI. The doctors assistant and the scheduler were informed of my cancellation, yet I still get a call the next day about my impending MRI. Saw Dr. Keener for an infected, very painful swollen finger and nail with cellulitis. He looked at it and had no idea of what to do with this. Not a clue. He said that I should make an appointment with another dr. in the practice who has more experience to get a second opinion. I had just plunked down a $50 co pay and then he says to make another appt, make the 30 mile trip, miss work and plunk down another $50 dollars with no guarantee of even knowing a diagnosis and treatment plan??? I have had some very good experiences with this practice in the past. My experience today has completely overshadowed that history. I was seen today by Dr. Conrad and the only treatment offered for my broken finger had already been accomplished by the quick care place that treated my finger over the weekend. Since my work requires me to use both hands, I expected that I would be given a work release. Not so. Dr. Conrad suggested that I would just have to work with one hand. They did upon my insistence that I be given something, give me a modified work excuse. They were unpleasant about that and I will not be going back. read more

While I had hoped physical therapy could fix my knee, Dr. Troxell did an excellent job using MRI and x-rays to provide me with the information I needed to realize surgery would be required for my torn meniscus. He and his staff were wonderful! I had managable pain, and my prescribed physical therapy was fabulous! I did exactly as the doctor ordered, and I am back to work in record time! My son had a small, hard cyst in his hand. Our first appointment, the doctor attempted to drain it. Gave my son a shot of novacaine and attemped to drain. The cyst was a rock, why he even thought it would drain is beyond me. So, then he said we could schedule another appointment and he would remove the cyst IN THE OFFICE. Made that appointment, and it ended up being another consultation, and he changed his mind to do it in the hospital, even though my son ONLY wanted local anesthetics. The nurse even told us that he did say he would do it in the office. The surgery was ridiculous, only lasted about a minute, and to me was a waste of time to do in an operating room in a hospital. Instead of a small medical bill, the cyst in the hand cost us over $2,500! and LOG refused to accept payments and sent my 20 year old (college student) son's billing to the Lancaster Credit Bureau. I will not go back to that office! Let this be a lesson....STAND UP FOR YOURSELF IN A DOCTOR'S OFFICE! Remember that you have the final say, not them! He made himself and the hospital a lot more money than necessary! read more

I had a bicycle accident before I moved to Lancaster. When I came here, my knee started to swell up and I was in great pain. I see Dr. Wayne Conrad at LOG and he has been marvelous. He knows exactly what I need to have my pain relieved and he has suggested several different solutions. Happily, he also continues to tell me that I don't need a knee replacement! read more

This is a mixed review. I have had surgeries from three different doctors there, and I have to say that two of the surgeons were amazing, kind, pleasant, and wonderful to work with. The practice as a whole is excellent, and I can't say enough good things about there Physical Therapy department. I, unfortunately, had a severe foot injury and was recommended to Dr. Tuckman for the injury. While he may be a great surgeon, he was arrogant and treated both my husband and I like we were beneath him. I asked about PT, as this type of injury (which required TWO surgeries) requires PT to be able to walk right again. He stated that I did not need it, that walking is like riding a bike....you just get back on and do it. My husband and I researched this injury, and even spoke with other physical therapists, and a few other doctors, all of whom were shocked that Tuckman wasn't ordering the P.T. I decided that one of my follow-ups would be with his PA, and not with him, and was fortunate that the PA wrote a prescription for the PT. While in PT, people generally strike up conversation to pass the time, and I began speaking with another younger woman who also had foot surgery. Her injury wasn't nearly as bad as mine, and yet, because she looks very athletic, Tuckman wrote for PT for her. I was told that my nerve pain and swelling could last up to 1.5 years, and Tuckman said to just keep trying to do the things I was doing, and stop when it causes me pain. His PA said the same, releasing me from PT when the therapist felt I'd benefit from it for another month. I still cannot walk a mile without severe pain, and cannot do the cross-fit things I was doing prior to the injury. Since the injury happened at work, Tuckman and his PA only cared about getting me back to my pre-injury status of being able to be on two feet for work....not getting me back to my pre-existing physical condition. I know that I'd give any other doctor in that practice a chance, should I need any other kind of surgery, but I would never recommend anyone to Dr. Tuckman. He has a God complex to be sure, and I feel that your skills are not enough to speak for you....personality matters when you are dealing with people whose lives have been changed by injury. read more

My daughter was casted April 3rd 2017. We were billed for the casting and a shoe that fell apart less then a week into having it on. I sewed the boot myself to fix it. At her next appointment I took my bill in and paid for the casting portion. The billing office came out collected her boot and told me they would take the additional amount for the boot off the bill. The billing office staff did this at the checkout desk with the casting therapist present. My bill at that point was paid in full. A week later I got an EOB from my insurance for a second casting boot and other charges for casting date of March 30th. She did not get a cast that day. I called LOG and they said she got casted and they would be sending me the bill soon. I argued with the woman and asked her to go read the chart. They called me and left a voicemail they saw she did not get casted and would take care of the insurance payment coming to them for the incorrect billing. No apologies. Not one. Now here I am tonight going through the mail and I get a THIRD bill from them. I called and left a voicemail (not nice trust me at this point I am ready to report LOG to anyone I possibly can.). They changed the codes without submitting to my insurance, changed my payments (mind you I paid it in full on April 18th) and listed it as insurance payment and sent me yet another balance as my balance. No actual insurance payment listed this time. This is unreal. Who has time to deal with this??!! Apparently your billing staff has absolutely no clue what they are doing and here I am spending HOURS dealing with their errors. On April 18th I was at your check out desk for 50 minutes!! And will I get an apology? Likely not. So incredibly furious and so angry that they think my time is so disposable and invaluable. Never would I recommend anyone to go there. You can have great care but if you're treated this badly and your billing gets this messed up the care doesn't matter! read more

I was seen by Dr. JAMES H. CARSON, MD in June 2012. I was in a MVA (tboned on the drivers side). I had issues with my neck, left shoulder and arm. Dr. Carson did order several MRI's, but nothing showed up. He sent me to John Hopkins because he thought I may have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. After waiting in misery for 5 months to see the doc there, she cut me loose stating I don't have TOS. So, I ended up back at Dr. CARSON'S office. He was very cold to me, told me that there is nothing wrong with me because he didn't find anything. He basically was saying I was faking , and he made me feel like I was doing something wrong. The only thing he did was give me a shot of hydrocortisone in my shoulder, and he said he would put a band aid on it so I get some sympathy. I ended up at my family doctor, and he referred me to a Neurosurgeon. He did 1 test, ordered a milagram and two weeks later I was being scheduled for surgery. I had a crushed disc in my neck, and I had a cage, plate, and 4 screws in my spine now. I have NEVER been treated like this ever from a doctor, and I only pray that he doesn't treat anyone else like this. It took a year and 3 months to find someone who would help me, and now I have permanent nerve damage. read more
