For a couple of years I'm visiting Dr. Beneditsky with lower back and some other osteopathic problems. He helped me from the first procedure, I could not turn my body at waist even at 45 gegrees and I immediately saw his attentiveness to my problems, I saw his humane willingness to help me with my back problems, I admitted his highly professional attitude. He is always giving worth advices how to avoid or at least lower the stress on my back shoving exercises or advising to ride a bike instead of walking, swimming, etc... He is an athlete himself. Before finding him on Google through his positive feed backs, I visited a few really good doc. who also helped me a lot, but not as much and deep as Dr. Beneditsky. Recently, when he was on vacation, I came to quite a good doc. on Bay Ridge with a shoulder problem from constant use of comp. mouse. I visit that doc. twice, but without really good result. As soon as Dr. Beneditsky came from vacation I was in his office. An hour and a half later, when all the procedures were finished, I felt no pain in my shoulder. I was afraid that the pain will come in a day or two, but a week gone by, ... no pain. I visit him a few times more to secure the success. He is a man who was born to be a doctor and that is our advantage and we have to use his talent. Now I'm not waiting now when I got a problem again and trying to visit him twice or at least once a month. By the way, I pay cash and counting the super professional massage, his manipulations with my joints all over my body and how I feel rejuvenated for days and days after, I count the cost is minimal to the scale of improvement and quality of his and his stuff performance.

She conducts very thorough examinations/tests and takes her time to explain what causes a particular health issue and the kind of diet, medicine or alternative treatment it requires. Some people complain about waiting time, but it only confirms what I wrote above - she takes her time with every patient, however, none of the doctors I've seen keep their appointment schedule like a railroad anyway, so I'd rather wait for the one I trust.

She promised me that I would improve in a few days if I took the vitamins that she was selling in her office. The selling price for two bottles of vitamins was $80. Not knowing any better and not having complete clarity due to being very sick, I bought the vitamins, and started taking them right away. When I brought the vitamins home and researched the price, I found that they actually cost $12 online. I kept taking them anyway, hoping for relief from my symptoms. A few days later, my symptoms got much, much worse and I developed laryngitis, nausea, and an upper respiratory infection that left me home from work for a full week. This morning, I looked at the ingredient list on the vitamins. The ingredients include: bovine ovaries, bovine adrenal gland, bovine brain, veal bone, and porcine stomach. The medicine not only made me feel worse, it clearly didn't lead to any progress, and the doctor unjustifiably more than tripled the price that they are selling it for. Aside from that I was actually really sick with the flu this week and the first time I called upon him for a quick appointment his secretary suggested 9 days from now. Obviously I wasnt happy with this so she put me thru to Dr Perenyi. He was very pushy toward me not having to come in. He asked me my temperature when I said I had a fever , told him I didnt have a thermometer and he snidely asked why didnt I have a thermometer! I was calling from work. All in all when push came to shove this doctor let me down big time. He's a 9-5'er who seems to only focus on filling his calendar weeks in advance.

I giggled when I entered her office and saw her wearing silk animal prints up the wazoo, with a zebra print fur coat hanging in the corner..."oh god, one of THEM," went my brain. But you know what, let her have her tacky clothes. She takes damn good care of her patients, and if furry zebras make her happy, cheers to that.

You can be sure, she will never cut of the appointment before she understand your problem. That creates a problem, though - sometimes it is a long wait. I, personally, prefer a good doctor to a short wait. The other good thing about doctor Khandros - she really knows good specialist to refer to. This is a rarity in Brooklyn, where good specialist are not common and local family doctors usually don't know much about Manhattan. I never had such a good doctor in NY before.

Deceptive Billing, Unnecessary Blood Tests, and Public Humiliation…read more I scheduled my appointment through the clinic's website, which clearly stated the $300 fee included both the medical exam and completion of Form I-693. When I arrived, the receptionist confirmed this. Even the doctor told me--without me even asking--that the $300 covered both the appointment and the documentation. He said a blood test might be an additional charge and necessary to complete my I-693 which I agreed. I had already provided proof of all required vaccinations, and blood test that I got in another clinic and my insurance paid for it, so there was no medical reason to run any tests. Still, they mentioned one specific blood test, but then performed a different one that I did not need. When I returned to receive my results, I was suddenly told I had to pay another $300 to complete the documentation(form I-693) completely contradicting what both the website and staff had previously confirmed. When I questioned it, the receptionist began yelling at me in front of the entire waiting room and refused to finalize my paperwork unless I paid again. It was deeply unprofessional and humiliating. After leaving, I called the clinic to clarify. They told me the website was "wrong," and that the true cost was $300 for the exam and another $300 for the form (I-693) something never disclosed at any point. I requested a detailed, itemized bill showing the charges for both the appointment and filling the form but they refused. All they offered was a basic credit card receipt. When I finally received a billing summary, through email they cc two more people who could see all my bill and personal information, however they didn't disclose the charges and instead just sent me a total of due without specific information, so i had to request a disclosed bill and when I got it,they were charging me for hepatitis b, varicella and MMR titer and i had the vaccines for all these (I gave them my vaccine record including vaccines for these diseases so not blood test was necessary) This clinic is dishonest, lacks transparency, and operates unethically. They performed unnecessary medical procedures, changed prices after the fact, refused to provide proper billing, and publicly humiliated me. I strongly urge others to avoid this place at all costs

This medical office can be hazardous to your health!…read more I chose this office for a general check-up as I had not gone for one for several years. It was nearby, and the picutures of the office looked decent. I was able to make an appointment the next day, which was convenient. But, that is where the positives end. To start my exam, I saw a very nice young woman, but she was not a doctor. She was a PA. Spoke to me about my medical history, etc. I told her I was having an issue with my foot. A few days before, I went to a podiatrist (at a different location/office) and was told that I had injured my foot. I showed the PA my foot, and she said it looked normal (when it is more swollen than my other foot). So, who do I believe? The PA at Dr. Yuryev, or the podiatrist I had seen the week before? Well, the podiatrist ordered an MRI. I went for the MRI, and I have six stress fractures in my right foot. So much for the PA at this office for spotting an issue. Which, of course, they didn't. Then a blood test was taken. I received a call the next day from Dr. Yuryev's office to inform me that they have the results and that someone will call me to discuss. I then got a call from another PA at Dr. Yuryev to discuss the blood test result. First, he went over the good points. Then he went into the bad. I was told that I am anemic, with hemoglobin, hematocrit and RBC all below reference range. The PA told me that in addition to being anemic, I probably have a slow bleed inside of me, probably a tumor in my colon, and that I may have colon cancer. Well, when I heard that, I of course was quite upset. What is strange is that I have no pain and when I looked up the symptoms of colon cancer, I have none of it. I'm not tired all of the time, so I don't know how I could possibly have anemia. I was then told to see a gastroenterologist for a colonoscopy. I was given a reference to one from their office. Called the reference. An appointment was a month away and it was only a 10-minute video visit. That really isn't good enough. I found out on my own that I should have the blood test retaken and get a ferratin (Iron) blood test. So, what did I do? I went and found a really great gastroentrologist in Manhattan. Quickly got an appointment. Met with a real doctor this time. I showed him the blood test result. He said I shouldn't be too worried over it. He retook the blood test. And did a ferratin test. The result? Everything was in range! What a relief. The ferratin test showed everything with my iron levels was normal. Didn't look like I was anemic. While I was at the gastroenterologist, he set up a colonoscopy. I had that procedure done. The result? All NEGATIVE! No polyps, no tumors, no bleeding, nothing. I am NOT bleeding inside my colon, as I was told I probably was by the PA from Dr. Yuryev's office. I went into Dr. Yuryev's office feeling fine, and left being sick from what I was told. Thankfully it all worked out fine for me in the end, but the experience from Dr. Yuryev's office really scared me and worried me to no end for a couple of months until I knew the real results. What a lousy experience. PAs really aren't good enough. You need to see a doctor. With New York State now allowing PAs to administer your health care instead of a real doctor, more stories like mine may emerge. Moral of the story? Don't go to a doctor in Brooklyn. Always go to one in Manhattan if you can. There IS a difference!

He is charismatic, pleasant, knowledgeable, obviously has a lot of experience under his belt, helpful, practical, and on the same wave length agreeing with me that the less medication, the better. But as soon as I had something of a serious nature for the first time in my life, he for some reason is not able to accept my complaints as valid. And he breaks one of the rules of doctoring which is to believe the patient's complaints! He has actually for the past seven months been denying that what I describe as my symptoms are happening! This is the logical extension of his sunny disposition. I remember now that he has often been that way. I once told him that after wearing a heart monitor for 13 days, the result was first degree heart block. He said, "Oh, that's nothing!" My stepdaughter told him he had a spot on her lung of 0.5 centimeter. He said, "Oh, that's nothing!" And I remember how in past years, I always leave his office feeling better than when I came. But the day came seven months when I presented with a serious condition, and he has persisted and persisted since in saying, "Oh, that's nothing. It's all in your mind." (He has actually told me that the main thing wrong with me is my mind. I learned that that is called "gaslighting.") And I know that isn't true, and I know he is wrong. And if this same thing happens to you, you should be apprised that that is the day you must make a decision--whether to continue to put yourself in danger or to part ways.
