It also offers sweet crepes (£4) and waffles. So I got one with ham, onion and egg and my wife opted for ham and onion. We also ordered a flat white and a cappuccino at £2.4 each. The coffees were very good too so no downsides on food, food quality, food portions, temperature and great service. It Audi has soups, toasties, sandwiches and panini. I paid on ordering which meant when we were done we could just up and go. This place has only one downside, it's a small, and narrow place inside with only two tables, with most seating on stools. It's also an ice cream parlour and a sweet shop. There's a large choice of ice cream cones to choose from too. The ice cream is Morelli's, which I can't say I've ever had, and the vivid colours put me off - they have to be artificial. They did have a pooh bear equivalent (I'm a Mauds pooh bear honeycomb fan) but really I couldn't get beyond that blue colouring.

It's off one of the main streets, and it's just lovely inside! They had decorated for Christmas and I can't tell you just how adorable this place Is!! It is small, but the service was great. I love both Bagel Bean cafes as they both serve exactly the same great food and coffee. Superbly scrumptious bagels and salads. They have a huge menu listing every bagel you could possibly think of. I especially love the Vegetarian Selection on the menu, with the Napoli Melt being my absolute favourite. I prefer this cafe on Market Street as I think it has a better layout. Plus it has a great outside seated area for summer time relaxing and there are more interesting 'people watching' opportunities on the busier Market Street. There's also an awning too, so you can sit outside even if the weather is not so great. Unfortunately the other Bagel Bean on Lower English Street doesn't have such a luxury. I would highly recommend Bagel Bean as it serves the best bagels I have ever tasted. You can also get takeaway from both Bagel Beans which is good as they're such busy cafes, hence getting a table can sometimes prove difficult. This cafe is one of my favourite places in Armagh for food. Bring a book, have a bagel, drink great coffee and relax whilst watching the world pass by. My idea of heaven!

There is an excellent, but not too extensive, selection on the lunch menu. The food is well prepared and presented. The Irish Steakburger(with fries), which is cooked to order,is excellent and very filling. The cod (in beer batter) and chips are also excellent as is the cajun chicken salad. BLTs go down a treat. Recently I had the Beef Stroganoff (from the Daily Specials' Board) and, yes, that was excellent as well. It was a toss up between the Stroganoff and Mackerel with veloute potato dish. On this occasion the Strog won but next time, if it's on, I try the mackerel. My wife and our friend reported the Lasagne as being "first-class". We usually finish off with a very good cappucino. At 12.30 there is usually a queue but a table is worth waiting for. Get there for 13.15 and you should be seated immediately. As I've stated above, the staff are always "on-the-ball". My wife and our friend don't particularly like the lasagne portion served separately in a dish - they prefer it on the plate with the fries. I'd now go to a Mc Donald's sooner. So having fled from Eatoo I also ruled out Costa and Starbucks and explored Synge & Byrne. I was reading their menu and asked a lady behind the counter about soup choices. Not only did she tell me, she offered me a soupçon to taste. It was vegetable based and spicy. A five star soup. Once the present Lady G finished shopping (well she never ever finishes shopping - things like lunch, watching tv and sleep are merely interregnums to shopping, but you get the gist) in we popped. All the food/coffee was delicious. We got the soup and wrap combo £11.5 (chicken & bacon) we had a choice from 5 pre made sandwiches almost all chicken based. The staff were very attentive but the company doesn't affirm anywhere I can read if it pays them living wages. Many companies proffer fair-trade support for coffee growers but neglect the fact that workers here too have to be properly paid and treated decently. I'd give them 4 green stars for keeping food local. A soup and sandwich combo with a cappuccino £15. What niggled: the wrap had chilli jam and they couldn't assemble one without it; there's locked customer WiFi but the WiFi code isn't displayed anywhere not even the receipt.
