I purchased tickets at the concession stand ahead of time so that we are guaranteed seats. Unfortunately, the only seats left were closer to the front. Galaxy Cinemas was inside the Rutherford Mall. The theater lobby is small and dated and so dim... and this was in the middle of the afternoon. We left to check out the mall but it was already closed except for one store called London Drugs where we purchased some snacks. When it came almost time for the movie we got popcorn and a drink at the concession stand. Inside was nice with comfortable reclining seats. The theater was clean. We were on Row B which I thought would be too close to the screen but it wasn't too bad. We watched The Equalizer 3 with Denzel Washington. Review #3164

Admission was $22.22 for the both of them (that's ok) but at the concession they ordered 1 large popcorn and 1 kids pack - for a total of $26.59!!! The girl asked it they wanted butter - didn't tell them it was extra and was $3 extra on the large and extra on the kids popcorn and didn't give them a different option. So almost $50 for 1 young adult and 1 child to see a movie on cheap Tuesday!!!!!! I tried to call to complain but of course there are no options to talk to anyone. Ridiculous. Will not be going back any time soon!

Lots of selection for snacks. I was saddened that the theater did not had the newer seats with tilt and comfort options. At least in the theater I was in. I will check with them to see if any do for future visits. More movie times should be available for mornings during the week not just on weekends. Lots of older people would use earlier times if advertised to them.

I was directed to the concession to get different seats, which I did. I was offered two seats, in another row and not side by side. Eventually, the cashier found two seats together that were okay. I wonder what would have happened had the theatre been fully reserved? The cashier advised me that the seats were old and they have no way of knowing which ones are in working order. While waiting for the seat re-assignment process, I noticed the area behind the counter wasn't very clean and decided to cancel my plans to buy popcorn and a pop. Very unappetizing. The movie was good, but I hesitate to return to this theatre. A theatre with broken seats and a dubious approach to facility cleanliness doesn't make for a great entertainment attraction. They should do better.

Terrible service…read more There are two ticket machines out side of door but one of them's transaction machine was not working. I was almost late for movie time and there were long lineup after me. I was sure everyone were so frustrated not to catch the movie on time. I talked to the receptionist/cast member but she was busy for dealing her smart phone (don't bring it at workplace especially while you are talking to the customer) Three hours later, after I watched the movie, the transaction machine still had no sign like out of order. Even they haven't opened physical ticket booth. One other cast member was just walking around telling "Thank you for coming". It doesn't make any sense and no help at all. They pretend they were doing best without any effort.

i actually kinda like this theatre for what it is, low key, never too crowded, and just chill. the…read moreseats are comfy enough, they gently rock back, but don't expect footrests or full on recliners with swivel trays, it's not vip. the a/c hits that balance, cool enough to keep you comfortable without needing a cardigan. tucked inside tinseltown (aka international village mall), this place feels like a bit of a throwback, the mall is dated and rarely busy. it means shorter lines, easy parking, and a calmer vibe overall. with nine theatres and a decent sound system, you're still getting a proper moviegoing experience without the frills. plus, it's close to chinatown, t&t, and a food court if you're craving something other than popcorn. but if you are in a popcorn mood (mandatory at movies for me, regardless of how full i am) theirs is solid (but can be a hit or miss). on this visit, the popcorn was warm, freshly popped, and not too greasy. washrooms were clean, no long line ups, and yes, free underground parking with your movie ticket stub. the movie lineup is diverse, from big studio hollywood blockbusters to indie releases and foreign films. not fancy, nor flashy, but dependable, comfortable, and a great spot to catch a movie.

This is none of that! Make your way to the Dunbar Theatre while you can. Saw Deadpool & Wolverine and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice recently here and plan to come back as much as I can.

Plenty of free parking in the streets around. I just wished i lived closer to the location. The staff are all just wonderful & on weekends one can order Krispy Kreme donuts ahead of time and pick them up from the theatre concession .
