I like Land's End, but do all of my shopping online and only venture into the stores to make a return (and then do some looking around). I think Burlington is the only physical store in New England, and I would like to offer a suggestion for returns: please allow them at the register when the return desk is backed up. Maybe more than "please", perhaps "for the sake of everyone's sanity, please do returns at the register". Here is the scene: arrived at 10:10 yesterday morning, the store had been open for 10 minutes. I was returning two things, both had the tags on it and I had the receipt so nothing complicated. I got into line, and noticed the woman in front of me had TWO HUGE BOXES next to her; of course I thought "OMG, is she actually returning all of that?". I felt as though I was in the express line at the grocery store and then someone in front has 126 items and no clue as to how to self-scan. Meanwhile, no one was waiting at the regular register, and I almost called the store just to ask if we could be helped at the store? Note that I wanted to call because I feared getting out of line which was really growing at this point. Both boxes were stuffed and contained more matching pajamas and slippers than an entire neighborhood would need. Obviously no one in her family wanted to match, these were all in their original packages so maybe her UPS driver is just really cute and she wanted to have him/her show up at the door more often? Who knows, but her return took 18 minutes (yes, I timed it); when she finally left, I was done in less than 2 minutes. I really felt badly for the nice guy working (Quentin), I can only imagine he wondered if his whole day would be like this? There were at least 10 people behind me - none with boxes of any size - so returns at the register would have been great. After that, I was so aggravated that I just wanted to get out of the store and not bother with shopping while I was there! read more

Lands End is a scam. Don't expect your order to be delivered timely. Here is what these idiots say: "We're currently experiencing extended processing times due to recent updates in our distribution center. Orders are taking an additional time to process before shipping." Customer Service is useless and based in India somewhere. Stay away from these crooks. read more

I ordered 5 long sleeve tees, they left off half of the mailing address so UPS could not deliver the order and were sending the package back to lands' end. I called and they said that they would resend the order except that one of the tees was out of stock. Well I got the new order again they left off some of the address. But there was no paper work with the order, which is a bummer because I have to return them because they are very thin, they feel like nylon and not cotton. Now I have to drive 2 and a half hours to return them to the store for they didn't put in a return slip. Last time I'll shop at lands' end Update went to store to return items and they couldn't return them online. Now I have a hand written receipt. Guess I am out the 100.00. Merry Christmas read more

My review is regarding their corporate customer service. I called as I had an item I wanted to return. It was just over the 90 day return window so I had no high expectations. Just thought it wouldn't hurt to call in case they could make an exception. After 90 minutes speaking with two reps and their manager, I was told to mail them my item. They would give me a credit once received. After a month, I received a note in the mail that I would not be refunded. Upon calling again, they received my item but told me I would not be refunded because of their 90 day return policy. I asked if I could have the item back instead and was told they could not return it. Due to miscommunication on their part and overall bad customer service, I am without a refund or the item I purchased. read more

I thought I was going to be excited to shop in this store - it's Land's End clothes, and there were big "50% Off" signs all over the place. Well, that's great if you can find something of interest to you here, and even more challenging for men's clothes, which occupy maybe 15% of the store. Some of the men's clothes, such as shirts, are packaged in such a way that it is impossible to access the tags that indicate material and laundry care. But oh, that line to check out!!! The number of people waiting in line went beyond fingers and into toes, and everyone looked unhappy, as if they'd been waiting there way too long already. It was beginning to look more like Patience's End. read more

UPDATE* It's now the start of school on Tues. My son's uniforms are STILL processing. And they're excuse is they're behind because of volume of school uniforms. LANDS END SELLS UNIFORMS you know when back to school is. Horrible company. And my son's school is now considering pulling out since the entire school currently is behind on getting their uniforms. My son attends private school. For the last 2yrs I have ordered according to THEIR website when the best time to order is, to get uniforms on time. Every order I have (from a month ago) says allow 4-5 business days for embroided items. And both these years we are a week before school, I am calling to find out where his uniforms are, and once again am being told they aren't even embroided with the school logo yet. Just receive a bunch of sorry and nothing more. Once again, my son will not have school uniforms on time and then to cover Lands End mistake I am forced to go out and spend MORE money to buy basic uniform looking attire. This is terrible business practices. I have emailed my son's school requesting they stop working with Lands End. For the amount of money being spent to get no explanation more than "sorry" they should be attempting to get their acts together a little better. But, it's a multi-billion a year revenue corporation soo we know how seriously they take anyone they can't lobby. read more

I am handicapped and was excited to receive the new Land's End catalog. Upon calling the online number, I was advised the cost for shipping is $7.00, and, if it is necessary to return anything, the cost is another $10.00, unless you purchase $99.00 worth of merchandise. Seventeen dollars can go for groceries! There are much better options for shopping. CEO, Jerome Griffith, should care about the handicapped, and inflation! read more

I've been ordering clothes from Lands End for more than 20years. Now I'm done with Lands End. I ordered 10 pair of pants online with a 34-1/2" hem. After 3 attempts of getting lengths of 35, 35-1/2, 36, but never a 34-1/2" hem I have given up. I guess all good things come to I'm not changing my review stars because Lands End doesn't provide accurate hemming. I am ordering again but will order in hemmed which costs much more after having them hemmed myself. read more

I was going to take advantage of the sale that Land's End is having but I decided not to. The reason is that they are charging a delivery charge unless you spent $75.00. Shame on you for charging shipping charges when no other retailer is. You lost my business! read more

Lands end is my "go to" store for cotton tees and winter jackets. The quality is great with sturdy zippers and a nice variety of colors. I also love their "starfish" yoga pants -- couldn't be more comfortable! Much of my shopping is online but hope the Burlington store stays open. It's nice to have for both shopping and exchanges. read more
