Thorough... Professional... not much more you can ask for when having a Structural Engineer provide a survey on your foundation. We recently bought a house for the first time and had no idea to do this before purchasing. The house had foundation work previously on the front end of the house, but we had questions about the back as we had started seeing some cracks pop up during the hot summer. Sure enough, we are right at the cusp of needing piers on the back. Eric didn't pressure us into going ahead and making it a project, only to make sure we do everything possible to improve it first and foremost. We just got the foundation drip fixed and we are working on landscaping around the house to provide as stable a foundation as possible to try and improve it ourselves. If we had only listened to foundation repair companies, we would already be doing work. I was in a bind and needed to get a foundation Inspection and repairs made just two weeks prior to closing on the sale of my home. Call Eric before you call a foundation company! He inspected my home foundation and was very professional and informative. I had a known foundation company with billboards around DFW inspect my home and recommended 26 piers all around the house. I had an outside wall with a larger than normal crack and some minor hairline cracks inside but to me 26 piers seemed a little excessive. Then a called a local company that only recommend 11 piers on two sides of the house. This seemed more reasonable but still wanted to make sure so I called Eric. He suggested that the settling was normal, only recommended adding soaker hoses and gutters around the house and NO piers at this time. One of the best decisions I made was to call Eric, saved me from spending thousands of dollars. read more

He discussed common observations during his investigation and even listened to my concerns about the foundation. Very shady business! These guys pretend to be non biased while having a clear agenda with Fortress Foundation Repair! Fortress very conveniently has this guy's business card, and tells me to call these guys for an "unbiased" opinion, and then Lange wants me to pay them for their visit, while clearly they are going to kick the work back over to them. If they had any integrity, they wouldn't be providing their business cards to a foundation repair company to recommend an "unbiased" solution. read more
