I had my first "custom-built" saddle made by Cliff Langerud. He was very attentive to my wishes & idea's, & double checked every detail with me first, & made some very good suggestions as well. He did such an amazing job! I get so many compliments on it, everywhere I take it. I've used this saddle for a variety of ranch jobs, gathering, sorting, working steers & pairs with dogs, brandings, & put many miles of trails on it, on quite a few different horses, without ever any fit problems. I was so excited when I received it, & I love it just as much now, (over 20 years later), as I did when I first got it! This saddle is built to last, & will be handed down to my daughter, (& probably a few more generations, as well)... I decided to have the background dyed black about a year later, & it really made the carved floral design pop. Langerud custom saddles is alive and well and open!!! Cliff is happily making beautiful saddles. Whoever the person is that is reporting him closed is WRONG! I have a beautiful saddle made by Cliff and am considering designing another one with him. I have done several designs with Cliff Langerud, beginning with my laurel leaf design for my personal saddle.
