While a staff member eventually stepped in to help move things forward, the overall experience left me feeling more like a chart than a patient. When treatment delays directly impact someone's health and quality of life, communication, accountability, and follow-through are essential -- and in this case, those expectations were not met, which is why I've chosen to continue my care elsewhere.

I had no idea what to expect besides, we have a sick little girl that really needs help with allergy problems. I've had more than my share of some really bad doctor experiences/office staff experiences. This doctor is probably the best doctor I have ever come into contact with. The entire office is probably the best office I've ever come into contact with. A few of the words I would use to describe Dr. Firschein would be: highly intelligent, straight to the point, warm, caring, assertive, and determined. Thank you Dr. Firschein for taking such excellent care of our daughter today, thank you also to Valerie who was excellent. If I were any doctor in Athens, I would pay you a lot of money to duplicate what you're doing, because most have it completely wrong and waste their patients time. Your office was easy, no unneeded wait times, and everyone worked efficiently to get us in and out, while at the same time, getting to business. After explaining to her my entire ordeal her lack of care and or concern for me as a New patient in a new atmosphere was non existent. She offered no solutions of offering to reschedule or work me in. I immediately called and notified my physician of this incident and requested to be referred elsewhere! REALLY disappointed!…read more I don't often leave reviews, but I feel the need to share one for this frustrating ENT practice. I had suspected I may have sleep apnea for several years and decided to finally get it checked out. I chose Northeast Atlanta ENT in Dacula to get their evaluation of my situation. I was given a home sleep study to complete, and I was told I needed to get at least five hours of sleep for the test to be valid. If I didn't get five hours of sleep, the office staff told me I could do a free retest. Well, I only got 3.5 hours of sleep after lying awake for a really long time. But they said based on the test results that I got 6 hours of sleep, which is simply not true. They believed the test "results" over their patient's word. I was told I don't have apnea and was offered no free retest, despite my repeated explanations that the test inaccurately indicated more sleep than I actually got, which skews the results. If you divide the number of apnea incidents that occurred in the test during the 3.5 hours I was actually asleep over 3.5 hours rather than 6, I likely do have apnea. So, after paying more than $800 out of pocket (including $40 for the staff to literally hand me the sleep study equipment and provide a two-minute explanation of how to use it) after my high-deductible insurance plan paid their small portion, I walked away with NOTHING but frustration and zero clarity on whether I actually have apnea or not. Oh, I can get a retest, they told me, but they'd have to charge me again. No thank you - not here. I have no interest in paying ANOTHER $800 for nothing. This practice is not at all concerned about my health; they are completely focused on their bottom line. I highly recommend going with another ENT practice if you want true patient-centered care that is going to accurately diagnose you. This place will leave you with empty pockets and disappointment.

My wife tried another doctor, closer to where we live, who has an excellent reputation near Atlanta but discovered Dr. Vangala is more thorough; she abandoned the closer doctor to return to Dr. Vangala's practice. Dr. Vangala has performed his own allergy tests for years. He recently hired a skilled nurse to do those, but he still "reads" the results himself. (Other doctors rely on the nurses to do the testing from start to finish). He is gentle and kind with the children. His treatment approach has been conservative and effective for our family. My wife did a series of allergy immunotherapy shots with his office for several years. The shots took a couple of years to be effective, but she hasn't had any sinus infections since using the shots. Before the shots, she had severe sinus infections at least twice a year, and sometimes it took multiple rounds of increasingly high-powered antibiotics & even oral steroids to clear them up. Now one of our daughters is taking the shots and has experienced improvement in her response to the allergen. Dr. Vangala is always professional and caring.Some of the office staff and nurses are friendly, some are not; We treat everyone with kindness and we are well-treated as a result, no matter if we are greeted with a smile or not. The office would not let me make an appointment until David reviewed the referral. I waited 4 weeks for them to contact me. No response, I called on 12-23-25 and was told by Haley (who answered the phone) David decided not to take me as a patient (I'm assuming my case was too complicated for him). I spoke to Laura (I think was the nurse) asking for a date David sent back the referral to Dr. Sulaiman, Haley and Laura, both told me they have no record of sending the referral back! Dr. Sulaiman would have contacted me ASAP as he is the kind of doctor that does not ignore any medical issues! I have no problem with David not wanting to take my case (at this point I surely don't want to be a patient of theirs) but do have a problem that no one from his office contacting me to inform me of his decision!
