I felt my alignment was off and went to TownFair tire and they quickly discovered that one of my Control Arms was shit and this was a repair that had to be made ASAP to avoid a major cluster F while driving. I was recommended Blackman's by the TownFair folks(great guys by the way) and i headed over there 4p on a Thursday with no appt. I also knew…read moreI needed new brakes so I asked if they could give me a quote on that and let me know if if anything else needed to be replace to get the brakes done. They quoted me about $3000. They told me I needed to replace all 4 brakes, all 4 rotors, 2 rear calipers, the engine filter, cabin air filter and a a brand new battery as they said it was almost dead. The quote made me suspicious. I had changed the cabin air filter myself not 2 months prior. I also hadn't had any signs that there battery was dying. I took myself over to AutoZone and had them test the battery...94% health. Perfectly good battery no where close to dying but Firestone wanted to charge me almost $400 for a new one. I also brought my car to another independent mechanic shop (that actually had good reviews) and he replaced all 4 brakes, 2 rotors, and 2 rear calipers for $1500. So I found myself a new auto shop and it definitely isn't Firestone.

After speaking to the driver, we decided to take the Jeep to their shop for repairs - Rhonda called me on Monday morning with a diagnosis and estimate - they completed the repairs the same day and worked with me to pick it up after hours. Everyone I spoke with was polite, helpful and eager to make me feel comfortable. I felt that the price to repair my brakes was reasonable and didn't feel pressured to do anything extra. I will definitely return the next time my car needs repairs and will happily recommend the shop to my friends and family.
