I was reluctant to try The Grimm Trim due to the negative reviews I saw online. However, despite the bad reviews, I decided to give the shop a try because I work very close to the establishment and I read somewhere they were under new management. The one thing that you will notice immediately upon walking in the doorway is the stench of cigarette smoke. I didn't actually see anyone smoking but the the shop did reek of smoke. That is really my only gripe. The gentleman who cut my hair (Cindy was out on the day I visited) did a great job on my cut. He did exactly what I asked. My advice to the owners would be to clean up the shop and ban the smoking. Barbershops should feel clean (sanitary) and this one did not. However, I will likely visit this establishment again; unless I can find a cleaner alternative that is nearby.

I had to monitor the Google live traffic for near two weeks to avoid over an hour wait my last time. This is quite frustrating but I'm assuming it is just because of the Christmas family photo rush. I've been coming here over a year now and thankful to have a great spot with friendly staff who keeps track of hair styles and notes what notes we wrote last time. Ashley is, well was, fantastic! We seem to finally have figured out a cut that works for my head and hair after almost twelve months of trying various doos, struggle of partially curls, frizz, and thicker straight sides. Really nice to have fair pricing here too unlike some other places down the road that aim for Hollywood wallets. Everyone here is friendly and makes it real comfortable for all us guys. But alas the corporate junk and annoying lack of fair play has forced me elsewhere.

This is by far the worst haircut experience I have ever had…read more I went to get a haircut and showed the stylist there 3 different versions of the style I wanted (Front facing and Layered on top) and told her a 0 to 1 fade on the side. The fade was so poorly blended that after trying to have her correct it one time I just said it was good out of fear that she would mess it up more. When she started cutting my top she cut off a lot, but I trusted her to give me the style I wanted. After I realized she was trying to swoop my hair to the side I voiced my concern and re showed her the pictures and why I was concerned it would not look the way I wanted. She said I was right and said that she didn't realize what I wanted and basically said that I should just wait for my hair to grow. If my hair wasn't bleached that would be OK but now I have to wait till my hair grows all the way out again so I can cut off the bleached part and re bleach. (Which will take at least 5 months). Please don't ever risk getting your hair cut here unless you are ok with wanting to buzz it off after. (Which she told me a lot of people did after she cut their hair.)
