I was reluctant to try The Grimm Trim due to the negative reviews I saw online. However, despite the bad reviews, I decided to give the shop a try because I work very close to the establishment and I read somewhere they were under new management. The one thing that you will notice immediately upon walking in the doorway is the stench of cigarette smoke. I didn't actually see anyone smoking but the the shop did reek of smoke. That is really my only gripe. The gentleman who cut my hair (Cindy was out on the day I visited) did a great job on my cut. He did exactly what I asked. My advice to the owners would be to clean up the shop and ban the smoking. Barbershops should feel clean (sanitary) and this one did not. However, I will likely visit this establishment again; unless I can find a cleaner alternative that is nearby.

(Not sure why; it's not that serious) I have lived in NYC, Chicago , ATL & other major cities that can accommodate their customers; I can't fathom what up with this small town hole in the wall... They NEVER open on time. I waited for Vic my barber; while the owner took 45 mins to show up. Don't try to get a cut on Sunday; you'll have to guess when they open or they just don't show up! No appointments (would not matter, they so slow) It's nice to be in business for yourself; however you should try treating your loyal customers like they matter. I'm here till December for work, I travel to Chicago for my haircut & great service!
