In my opinion: mowed so poorly I had to mow lawn again after they left (repeatedly). Damaged my property with careless use of weed whacker. Several bills had errors. They are incapable and/or unwilling to take responsibility for any of their screw-ups. With this outfit, the right foot doesn't know what the left foot is doing. To be more accurate, the right foot doesn't even know what the right foot is doing. They are so disorganized that every agreement I made with them only lasted a week or two before it was violated. When I tried calling to correct errors, they were always defensive and unwilling to acknowledge any fault (thereby making any correction of the problems impossible). It seems they have a very short-term objective of making a fast buck; they don't seem to be looking ahead to establish a good reputation. I'd give them a zero rating if I could. My advice: find a different mowing company or buy a self-propelled electric mower. Firing this company was one of the highlights of my year; with Real Green out of my life, I have no more stress about screwed-up bills, broken agreements, disgust over incompetent/careless work, or failure to show up to mow during the peak growing season. Kevin and crew did a great job on my yard. They were professional, courteous, and consulted with me to make sure they were executing my vision for the landscaping. they promised us 100 yards of top soil, they brought in about 30, and i've had 5 years of rocks, dirt and sand delivered many times so i know what 5 yards looks like one of the first things they did was knock down my property markers, so one of my back drainage pipes they buried over the property line, i'm in the process of correcting that right now (for more money), also, toward the end, they actually buried large rocks on top of this drainage pipe, so when i dug it up, i found it crushed in many spots my grass is problematic, mostly in the back, where they sodded... no top soil, just the sandy gravel that existed, so it's no wonder i have grass issues no, stay away from this company i whole-heartedly agree with the awful and unreliable from most of these other posts read more

This is a company you do not want to use or work for they cheated me and three other of my partners and two other people at work out of money you can look at their City work until what kind of work they do they chop up everything paper trash included they do edge they do not do anything properly with landscape company these are all hacks not only that he double cuts everybody's stuff and charged them double payments when it don't need it he does not know proper landscaping proper maintenance proper irrigation the only thing he knows proper is how to rip people off this is just my opinion it's like another man's a****** but this is not a business you want to do work for or get work done from. They blame their employees for stealing when they're the ones doing the stealing most their employees are on drugs proven fact their landscape manager don't do nothing their mow manager does nothing and they rely on hard labor and cheap pay rates to get their work done and they can't even do that properly and City works the worst work and they can't even do that properly thank you have a great day read more

Ten months ago, I hired Lansing Real Green to do the landscaping on my new home here. Pretty straightforward job -- add soil, re-grade, additional drainage, sprinkler system, fence, grass, three trees. Should have taken three weeks with a competent project manager. Two months ago, I fired Lansing Real Green for poor and non-performance on the contract. Sadly, the alternate bids I received were multiples higher in cost and I could not justify $25,000 for that work on a lot this size. The manager of LRG seemed contrite about his firm's failings and promised to deliver the job in a professional and timely manner if I gave him a second chance. This morning, I fired them for the second and final time. I told them two weeks ago I expected my job to be done when I returned from Empire last Saturday. Awful, unreliable, wouldn't deal with them again. They picked up our leaves the past 3 years no problem. This year we got our signed contract and after many phone calls back and forth we were given a major runaround. Finally after about 6 weeks they came and got our leaves. When we went to pay them he said it was more than double as we had more leaves. Sad to say, it was the same as last year. When told we had a signed ag6, he threatened to dump the leaves if we didn't pay his higher price. We will never hire them again. read more

Earlier this year I asked them to mow my yard; I told them I have dogs... they said that's fine there workers can where booties when they mowed it... they only came twice to mow it and now they send me a letter saying due to the dogs poop they will no longer be mowing our yard... I wouldn't recommend them to anyone if there manager hasn't even seen our yard to even cancel the contract.. read more

These guys are just out to make a buck. They did a terrible job mowing a lawn that didn't even need mowing. They just made a bigger mess out of the leaves for me to clean up. When I tried to call, numerous times and never reached a voicemail, I finally emailed my disappointment. They never responded to that. Then I got my invoice two days later and the bill was more that I was quoted. They never once got the blower out. read more
