Lost a large tree in our backyard over the weekend. I contacted Lou on Monday, and he came immediately to give a very reasonable quote. He was able to schedule the work for the following day. Lou and his crew did an incredible job removing it from our backyard. Due to limited access, he had to use a crane to take it out over our house. Great care was taken to insure the safety of our property (and his workers). As good as they were at getting all the wood and branches out, I was even more impressed with their cleanup afterwards. 2 part review.First: We had two 100 years old cottonwoods that were over 100 ft. tall. Storm July 20th put 1 into lake. That one was cut up and dragged out of the lake. To remove the second, Lou free climbed, handed limbs down and then sawed down the trunk. Both trees were taken down in one day. Lou and his team did an absolutely fantastic job. Highly recommend for large tree removal. Part two is the clean up. The front yard where the trees were was cleaned perfectly. All twigs and leaves were removed. But along the side of the house piles of 1 inch square chips were left behind and some chips are in our air conditioner. A neighbor complained about the wood chunks that were left in the perpendicular street. The equipment left ruts in the land across the street. After a phone call, the crew returned. The ruts were fixed, some of the wood chips were removed, the street was not cleared. After a second call, the crew cleaned the street but denied that they dropped that wood. The clean up of the wood chips was acceptable. The wood chips that are on top of the mulch cannot be removed easily and were left. The company does an absolutely great job on tree removal but for us the clean up was only acceptable. read more

DO NOT HIRE this "company" I had storm damage and called this company, and they sent out a guy named "Neil" who had a shirt on that said "Potterville Sawmill" The final quote was $3900. He told me I needed to pay half down Because I do not have that kind of money $1900+ lying around, he okayed that $500. would be fine so I wrote him a check which he cashed on September 6, 2023. I have called, emailed, etc., and have had NO RESPONSE. When a company is too busy to return your call or email, something is WRONG with the company. Our home inspector recommend Lou's to us when we bought our new house. We knew we were going to be taking out several trees that were planted too close to the home and were now causing some major issues. We had a total of 8 trees that needed to be removed. Communication and punctuality/scheduling is the only place where Lou seemed a bit flaky, but the work and the price are beyond comparison. They did EXCELLENT work for us.
