An engagement ring bought from this shop was requiring a repair after 3 months from purchase and…read moreagain 12 months later. We wanted to return the ring, and requested a full refund, as mu partner is an office worker who is not dealing with any heavy manual handling and such ring in normal conditions should not be able to be damaged that easily twice in such a small period of time. In our opinion the ring's quality was unsatisfactory. Even if our request was supported by legal act it was rejected. They wanted to send the ring to the supplier that they could try to find out why the ring was broken. We couldn't agree to send it to a supplier who has produced a faulty product in our opinion and then put it on the market for selling it, in the first place. In that case we decided to seek an independent expert that could make a proper report. The report was 3 x A4 long and it clearly said that the ring was poorly done: 'The broken prong clearly contained large porosity locally. This stems from the investment (lost wax) casting process. The manufacturer of the casting is responsible for this. The porosity caused a local weakness of the prong, making it liable to fracture if stressed.' Next part of the report said that 'The setting of the diamond cluster in its mount on the ring is clearly poorly done. There is very little prong contact above the girdles of the cluster. It does not conform to GIA (Gemological Institute of America) guidelines. As such, it is poorly designed and made and not fit-for-purpose in my view'. We have sent a letter attaching a copy of the expertise report so the shop owner had no any other arguments and this time he agreed to take the faulty ring back and make us a full refund. It took us almost 4 months to finally close this case and get the refund. We felt that they were trying to get rid of us asap since we first stepped into the shop showing the broken ring. We were very frustrated by the whole situation and they made no any effort to help us deal with this as painless and fast as possible, they only made it more and more difficult. The whole process of returning the ring was very unpleasant as well. The owner didn't approach us, unless called by a staff member, nobody has apologised to us for the whole unpleasant situation they caused to us by selling us a faulty engagement ring. We can't recommend this place.

Had an awful experience with this store. Bought an expensive engagement ring. Tried to look at it in store and they didn't have it, said they would order one in for me to look at however I was worried about missing the January sale so purchased online. Was never made aware that online prices would be matched in store. Staff were extremely rude when I went in to collect the ring and had clearly been bitching about me as I was greeted in the store with an "oh you're the one!" With regard to the online purchase. I was then informed of their policy for exchange if the ring was the wrong size but told not to worry too much about the exact rule of number of days cause here in the store they take care of you. Picked up the ring on the 29/1, proposed 6/2 and unfortunately my fiancés dad passed away unexpectedly on the 14/2 due to this we did not have time to get into store to discuss exchange but I felt it was ok as they "take care of their customers in store" we got into the store on the 3rd of March missing the 30 day exchange by only 3 days to be told that all they could do is resize the ring which upon purchase I was advised not to do with it being platinum. The sales advisor told us that the ring was an R and we needed a Q but when I checked my emails a Q was what I ordered. We then returned to the store today to be told that the ring I purchased was size Q and we needed an O so very inconsistent information. Told again to resize but then also told to contact customer service. Customer service confirmed that we could not resize that style of ring more than 1 up or down as it would compromise the ring based on the style which is different to what we had JUST been told in the store. So at this point here we are with a ring that's the wrong size. Can't be resized and won't be exchanged and it was not a cheap ring I tell you that. Shocking attitude to a sale online rather than in store, completely conflicting information every time and left feeling like H.Samuel have given me a big FUCK YOU.

I guess the most popular item here is their Sweety charm bracelet that you can get various different charms for, so perfect if you're into charm bracelets or know someone with a charm bracelet from here as it's a great gift. They also have the sweetie bracelet links in a necklace collection using individual hoops as pendants. Some of the charms can be little naff and I remember spotting a £400 18ct gold toilet charm in the Glasgow branch. Hm... There's something for all ages in here and when I was doing a spot of window shopping a pompous old woman pretty much nudged me out of the way - how rude! Anyway, I digress, Links of London is great for a browse particularly for presents for special occasions. Not only is the jewellery pretty, the packaging is also gorgeous and you'll probably feel bad opening it.
