They communicated that morning letting us know they would be here at their allotted appointment time. They called again to tell me they finished one job early and would come early if that was acceptable and it was. When they got here Jesse took the time to explain the process they would be working. They went through a questionnaire to make sure they had our approval. Once we OKd the project they began the work. It took them about 2 hours and they began the work immediately and were professional in every aspect of their project. They worked like a well trained team and completed the work to our satisfaction cleaning up everything when they finished. Once they had completed the work we checked everything they did and were extremely pleased with the work. And the sidewalks that had sunk about 2-3 inches were perfectly level and looked like new. Both my wife and I couldn't be more satisfied. Would recommend groundwork's to anyone needed cement leveling. Plan on using them again for a cracked driveway. Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures. He must have had some financial problems in late 2025 because another customer claimed he stole $13,000 from them also in December of 2005. I have also filed a criminal case against Damon. Damon is one who will lie to you, cheat you out of as much quality and money as he can. In our case, he completed 1 out of 5 items on his proposal on which he used a fictitious business name and signed. He deserves a negative 5 stars for the most dishonest contractor I have ever encountered.
