My boyfriend was disappointed with only one sausage and one rasher of bacon on his fry up, but I on the other hand found it refreshing to eat a fry up prettily presented and not dripping in grease. The prices aren't dirt cheap - you're looking at 6 quid for a fry up, plus a steep charge for extra items - this place offers a more civilised brekkie (see Gossip Cafe for the cheap and cheerful). I must pop in there again soon actually as last year there were free Quality Street's at the counter - always a welcome touch! I'm a fan of the tea too - okay there aren't a bijillion varieties and there isn't a tea leaf in sight, but it's served in a massive mug, builder style, just how I have it at home! The decor is cosy, with a range of sofas/tables/garden seating, and it's a nice place for a lazy sunday morning - all in all, well worth a visit (check out the specials too as there're occasionally discounts on the breakfasts).

I went in for a cup of tea yesterday right when the sleet/rain deal started, and was instantly warmed by the 50s diner feel of the café (and the tea.) I was tempted (quite intensely - the plate was held right up to my face) by some apple cake with clotted cream for only a pound, but stuck with the tea. (I'm anticipating a wealth of Christmas sweets in the next few days.) The café offers sandwiches, soups, pastas and full breakfasts for quite low prices. The sandwiches started at £2.95, for instance. The quaint Specials board and chatty demeanour of the servers added to the diner feel. I also noticed an advertisement for a tarot card reader - she comes to The Street every Wednesday from 10am - 2pm. That might be interesting .... She's from the Psychic Network! Anyway, it's a great little café for tea and cake or a diner-esque meal.

After making up my mind I chose the falafel, olives and feta on flat bread and an orange juice. The staff seemed really friendly, because you order at the counter but they bring it to your table. My lunch was yummy. Not a super meal, more like a quick bite for lunch but was quite good and the falafel wasn't too crunchy and hard as I experienced before. I decided to not stay for coffee as I wanted to try some other cafés but overall the place was a really good choice for lunch. Nice decor with a few tables to have a seat outside in the sun, pleasant staff, free wifi and a good spot for people-watching (my favourite sport!!).

Space is a little tight inside, which can be tricky to manoeuvre with a lot of luggage - and we also noticed a wheel chair user having some difficulty getting through the space. With friendly staff and great menu options, this was a much needed stop during a busy travel day.

Its also a great place in the mornings offering lots of tasty bites (like miniture tarts with spinach egg yolks and gruyere cheese- mmmm heaven) and its nice to have some more inventive ideas for breakfast on the run (we all love a bacon sandwich but not every time!). Coho is ideally located by the station which means it gets lots of people coming in from there but still keeps its regular clientele and often has groups of mates nattering over coffee - this gives the place a bit of soul. The tuna one was certainly stuffed to the brim with tuna which is good in terms of getting your money's worth, but apparently was a bit much in terms of the taste. The service was great here - our server was very smiley and also very quick making up our lunches. It was only not very busy when we popped in around lunchtime, which is always a plus if you're in a hurry. I paid £5 for the Chili, for that I got a a small bowl of this Mexican favourite, although no rice? Instead I got a handful of very stale tortilla crisps. The Chili itself was OK, no better than you'd make at home though. I also felt that for £5 I was being a little ripped off, especially when the girl serving me was particularly disinterested and rude once she realised I wasn't having anything more than the cheapest item on the menu.

All the food they use is sourced from local suppliers. It was cooked to perfection! I'm a huge meet eater but decided to try the veggie breakfast for the very first time and boy was I impressed! It was delicious full of flavour perfectly cooked eggs, sautéed potatoes delicious grilled tomatoes, mushrooms beautiful fresh chewy white toast etc!
