I've been looking forward to stopping into the Oseta Cafe since I got to Brighton. Friendly service, excellent food, lovely lattes and a great vibe!

I got a text from Tom C last Monday, telling me to come to Oseta's ASAP because the food is AMAZING! After two visits, I can tell you he wasn't wrong. Oseta is a small independent cafe in the North Laine area of Brighton. Oseta being the region where the owner come from. On my first visit I opted for 'Oseta's House' - Scrambled egg mixed with halloumi, tomato, spinach and dill on a slice of sourdough toast. I would never have thought of combining those things together, but believe me they really work! Absolutely delicious, homely food. I went again today, and ended up having Oseta's house again! This time I had a bit of ham mixed in with it, again it was delicious. The guy sitting next to me had a ham, egg and sausage sandwhich, which looked mouthwateringly delicious but I thought I would try it another day, the Oseta's house dish is just TOO good!! I also had a couple of small italian pastries with a flat white, which topped off my visit. I can see this becoming a regular haunt of mine. Very highly recommended! *Free Wifi

A really nice find on North Road - the place is welcoming and has a nice atmosphere inside. I had a great breakfast sandwich and a gorgeous americano which went down a treat after a week of drinking what was basically brown water at Glastonbury! Oseta has a really nice chilled out feel and the staff were friendly and helpful with a great selection of food and drinks. I'll be back!

Excellent food served quickly and with kind baristas and servers! I ordered the avo & smoked salmon…read moresmash, and was served my flat white within 5 minutes with the food arriving about 5 more minutes after that. The price point of 12.75 for the food + 3 for the flat white felt reasonable, although I am still acclimating to using pounds (first day here!). Music playing was soft and pleasant, and the seating was plentiful and clean. Definitely recommend this as a quick breakfast stop!

When I arrived in Brighton I spotted their other branch near Brighton Railway Station. Then when I…read morestumbled in this one in Ship Street I decided to try it, for my first meal in this city because had read the good review that Kerry G. made about it. The place was really busy but I managed to find a free table outside and spent several minutes looking at the menu and I couldn't decide what to eat as everything sounded so appealing. After making up my mind I chose the falafel, olives and feta on flat bread and an orange juice. The staff seemed really friendly, because you order at the counter but they bring it to your table. My lunch was yummy. Not a super meal, more like a quick bite for lunch but was quite good and the falafel wasn't too crunchy and hard as I experienced before. I decided to not stay for coffee as I wanted to try some other cafés but overall the place was a really good choice for lunch. Nice decor with a few tables to have a seat outside in the sun, pleasant staff, free wifi and a good spot for people-watching (my favourite sport!!).
