My family and I visited Largo Central Park during their holiday lights & carnival rides. We had a great experience and it was a fun time for all of us. Parking was ample and free. There were a few carnival rides available for $6/a ticket or you could buy 10 carnival ride tickets for $50. Each ride required 1 ticket/per person. The holiday lights were beautiful and there were a few photo ops along the way as you walked. My kids loved playing on the playground once we got in that area too. Overall: highly recommend especially during the holiday time! read more

We visited for the holiday lights but arrived a bit too early. Sun sets at home are about 60 mins earlier. We were able to see the lights just before sun set and dusk and it was beautiful. There were food trucks galore and festive carnival rides. $6 per ride per person or 10 rides for $50. Kona ice was a hit with kids. A campfire going with s'mores available. Lots of families playing on the field. It was a small town festive feeling with this park. I really liked there was a playground for littles and a teen area. read more

This park is absolutely beautiful and has so much to offer! We have come down here the past few winters to experience the Largo central Park, winter Wonderland festival with all of the lights and carnival rides and food. It's such a treat to walk through the park in the evening with all of the beautiful Christmas light displays. We also love the playground which is nice because it is fenced in And has different equipment for all age groups. There is always plenty of parking in the lots nearby. This place is literally a walking SCAM Largo Central Lights for holiday lights is a joke! $6 for 1 ticket, ONE. Had a lady tell me that we can use tickets from different nights because I had already gone several night (was provided with a free one from a family that was leaving) and then we wait in this long line for the Ferris wheel and then get told by several people we can't use our tickets! WTF? Then the blonde lady that apparently is everyone's boss there refused to refund it. We explained that our son can't ride any of the other rides, and we will not be using the tickets we wouldn't t have bought 2 tickets for us parents to ride with our son if that was the case, we would have given our one free ticket away! Holidays are already hard enough, r i d i c u i o u s ! That lady has no freaking heart or understanding. How hard is it to refund $12?!! read more

This park looked really nice decked out for Christmas, but I did hope for more "character" light shapes rather than just the hanging lights. There were like 2 backdrop areas for photos, but those had lines. Still, with a bunch of kids, they enjoyed looking at all the lights. There was also a few rides and delightful carnival food trucks. There is a little kiddy train, but it was unclear how one boards it or if it was just doing maintenance tests. Apparently it only runs like once a month, which is disappointing. There is a playground and a bathroom, which is convenient for everyone. It's also adjacent to the library. So it's a nice little park and worth checking out any events they have here. read more

An absolutely gorgeous park that always has something to do when you go whether it is people watch or partake in one of the many events they host throughout the weekends. The center of the park is a massive open area that you'll be able to just sit and soak in the sun, like I do, or throw a ball around with friends and family or even fly a kit, that's how much room they have here! There are a couple little playgrounds that take up a huge area and they are always full. They keep the playgrounds super clean as well as the bathrooms in the area! I love coming here since I was a kid, and I still do! One of my favorite things is the tiny train ride they offer that takes you on a slow miniature journey throughout the park. It is a ton of fun and the kiddos will be over to moon enjoying it for sure. They host some amazing events such as the Christmas light event in the winter and it is hands down my favorite cause they use thousands of lights around the park and it's stunning to see in person. I always feel safe coming here and there is amply parking for everyone! I can't wait to get my next visit to this park! read more

It's a good size park with great walking trails and amenities for the kids as well as bathrooms and parking. They have such amazing Xmas lights during the holiday and it is free. Largo Central Park is a 70 acre park located in the southeast corner of the intersection of East Bay Dr. and Missouri St. It's south of the newly renovated Largo High School. The entrance is along the south side of East Bay at 4th St. NE/Central Park Dr. The park is home to the Central Park Performing Arts Center, a community center and a huge playground for the kids. The Largo Military Court of Honor is along the north side of the park around the flag pole. The Largo Public Library is located right across Central Park Dr. We walked the loop around the huge meadow. Years ago, they used to hold the Renaissance Festival there. As a heads up, there were a few homeless folks and other sorts around the park due to it's location. So, just be wary of your surroundings. read more

This is such a great park! Playground is perfect for ages 2-12 year olds. It offers plenty of shade and its fenced in so you don't have to worry about Littles running into the parking lot. They have plenty of toddler climbing equipment as well as older kid climbing equiptment. Next to the kids playground is a area for teens/ adults to workout using outdoor equiptment. This area is also fully shaded as well. There are bathrooms located near the playground/ parking lot. The parking lot offers plenty of parking spaces as well as a charging station for electric vehicles. Picnic areas there are plenty! All are shaded with plenty of seating available. There are walking paths throughout the park that have some shaded areas. There is a field you can have your kids run around to get extra energy out or play with balls. I believe they are building a teen area next to the playground for teens to utilize. I can't wait to see this park lit up for with lights for the holidays, I bet it looks beautiful. read more

Christmas Break is here for the kids! What should you do? Head over to Largo Central Park! The park is completely decorated in Christmas lights! Great to take a stroll and get those "Ooooh's" "Ahhh's" ready! Of course snap those pictures to send off to the family and even post! Remember to have everyone wear a cute outfit! There are a variety of station with food, snacks and drinks! Some do accept card but some are cash only! (There is a ATM available.) Don't feel like walking? The park has a couple of benches where you can sit and enjoy the lights and watch the little ones run and play in an open space! The park has a playground for kids which has many activities and equipment. As far as security, there were a nice amount of officers making sure everything went/goes nice and smoothly. The park is pet friendly, so bring them and let them enjoy! When Christmas is over it's a great park to celebrate any type of activity: Birthday, gender reveal, field day and even a school activity! The only reason I gave them a four is because people are allowed to bring their pets and should always pick up and clean after them. Park management should have someone looking out and informing owners. Remember, kids are running around and playing to be pay attention to any dog waste. read more

Went to this beautiful park to see their Christmas In The Park Lights! When you pull in you will be amazed at all the beautiful lights. All the trees and the entire park is twinkling. It's a beautifully landscaped and well maintained park. There is a walking path around the entire park. We went on a cooler evening and it was crowded with all kinds of people of all ages. Some people even brought their dogs along. There was a fire pit with adults and children toasting marshmallows, there was a Ferris wheel, there was a Christmas Tree with lights that change color. There were vendors selling some snacks and drinks. When we were there, there was a group of musicians playing Christmas carols. There were many different light displays. There are several parking lots and people coming and going all night, we found parking easy. The best part of all is it's absolutely free!! Free to get in and free to park your car! We don't live anywhere near this park and specifically went to see the Christmas Lights. I would definitely return to see it again and definitely recommend it. Largo Central Park provide many events. This is community revitalization for the residents within the city and abroad. Recently we visited the park holiday light stroll. This is fun and free to public. I saw as far as Sun city retirees come to visit. The park is lighted with many Christmas light. It attracted young and old. The marry go around and the giant wheel added the excitement. The park has many events. It included the central railway with small train on certain calendar events and it is free to family to ride on the miniature train. Donation can be suggested to ride. They have movie in the park to drawn crown. Some of the features included the beauty and the beast and cars 3. The park has special event such as thirsty third Friday. Special guest performance. My wife and I visited this park for the first time. It is a hidden gem tucked away in Largo. Their Christmas Light display brought us there. What a great idea. The entire park is decorated in Christmas lights. There is a large christmas tree with lights that change color. A large ferris wheel is the center of the display. In this area you will find a carrousel, fire pit for roasting marshmallows, and a few food and drink vendors. There were also musicians playing music. A pathway circles the park. You can stroll along it and see most of the lights and displays. I believe it is about half a mile. Some light displays were Santa in his sled, candy canes, Frosty the snowman and teddy bears. There are hundreds of trees decorated with lights. The park is fairly large. There are several parking lots with a map at each entrance. The great lawn area is in the middle of the park. Covered tables with seating are located around the park. There is even a working model train railroad. You can take a ride on it around a mile long track thru the park. Just beware these trains are small. You are actually riding on top of a train car. This park would make a nice day out this time a year, when the temperature is mild with little rain or humidity. read more

We love this park! It has activities for many age ranges, from infant swings and playhouses to rock formations and climbing features. There are picnic tables under shade tents, as well as other shaded areas. There is plentiful parking, public restrooms, and even EV charging. It always seems to be well-maintained and busy, but not overly crowded. I highly recommend it for fellow families. read more

We almost drove by this little gem! This "Kaboom!" Park is similar, but not the same as the one in St. Augustine! (Project SWING Park) it's FILLED with SO MANY unique playsets! I've been to Largo Central Park twice for their Christmas light display. The lights are beautiful and definite must to check out during the holiday season. It's a great date night activity. This year, I was disappointed by the shoulder to shoulder crowds and lack of masks. I wish there were more precautions in place to help with social distancing and sanitization. read more

The Christmas lights display was fun to walk through in the park but the playgrounds were some of the best we've seen in the area. There are tandem swings for a parent to swing with the baby and the play areas for the older kids are huge. We'll be back for sure! read more

Pinellas County is lucky to have such a cohesive system of parks that help break up the monotony of its seemingly endless subdivisions, industrial parks, and shopping centers. Largo Central Park stands out against the scores of other Pinellas County Parks in the sense that instead of a park that preserves what Florida used to look like (woods, swampy, etc.), it is an immaculately manicured park of verdant trees and shrubs, flowers, and expanses of green lawns idyllic enough to make any college campus salivate. There's also tons to do! I enjoy going on jogs here as the path is very level and well-maintained. It might not be as enjoyable for those trying to get long runs in. Kids will also be well-occupied here as the playground and jungle gym area is very well-maintained. There are also shelters and benches all around. Parking is easy too. read more

Daaaaaang, downtown Largo has got it going on! I had no idea that there was a downtown, and that said downtown is totally lacking in Tampa Bay crack-head population. This place is clean, like Stepford Wives clean, like scientology clean--- there is even immaculate landscaping and a train that runs for children and adults like me. The park is up against the Largo Cultural Center building. And, thanks to the City of Largo the 2014 Chinese New Year Festival was held in this beautiful park, otherwise I never would have visited. Ample parking and so much space! There are plenty of picnic tables and bench seating. The playground area looks very new or well kept, and I really like that it is in the shade. read more

If you have kids you owe it to them to drive over the bridge to Largo as quickly as possibly to check out this amazing park. Still go, even if you don't have kids. This is the best park ever, although it could be partly due to the zillions of Christmas lights that are currently strung up in every bush, tree and rock - making the whole park a real wonderland. There is a huge open grassy area, for playing frisbee, chasing your dog, or practicing your cartwheels. The kids have a fantastical play area, with huge boulders to climb, slides, merry go rounds and every sort of thing to climb onto. While the kids are working out, the parents can work out on the outdoor exercise gear adjacent to the play area. There is a train that runs through the park the first full weekend of every month as well. Throughout are several pieces of art. The K9 memorial and kids playing in the crrek were my favorite! While we there the Boy Scouts were selling s'mores and marshmallows to roast in a firepit they'd set up. Topped off a really fun evening in the park perfectly! read more

This lovely park was right across the street from where the hotel we stayed at. After we checked out if the hotel, we went across Lovely to go and take a morning walk to check it out and found it was a great area to walk or jog or run in, if the hotel gym isn't to your taste. There was a lovely fountain in the middle and lots of trees giving lovely shade from the sun. The award winning playground literally had my jaw dropping. There were such intelligent games, not just your usual jungle gym. Also benches with inbuilt checkers boards and two enterprising young kids had collected black and white rocks and used those pieces to play with. The best thing however was the "Largo Central Railroad" amusement - it was so much fun seeing the steam trains filled with the young and the young at heart go around the track. Also these were proper steam railways - just very cool way of a local train club to bring their passion into the modern world. Lots to do for adults and kids alike!
