One of the best splash pads in the area. Lots of seating for parents (and some shaded spots), pretty good size splash pad, and has a playground next door. It is well maintained. All fenced in so you don't have to worry about your kiddos running off. It can get pretty busy on days where school is out. My only complaint is that sometimes there are older kids (10 or so) who play aggressively and will take out the toddlers or younger kiddos. read more

This splash pad it awesome! I took my 4 kids ages 1-11. The 11 year old helped my 1 year old down the slide and play through the sprayground! There are bathrooms and a playground close by. We ate lunch at the picnic tables before heading into the sprayground. We love that Dunedin has this to offer and the best part is it's free. read more

I've been here a few times over my 7 year olds life. This last time I went was for a Pavilion birthday party. As me and the bday mom were setting up and getting the party decorations situated, we had someone give us a few unkind words because we wernt using the grill yet, but we're planning to.(waiting for the dad to bring the charcoal from the truck).. hmm okay So the party was about a 15 kid pack, 5 being directly related to me. Each one came home with a war wound of some sort, my son came home with a pretty good claw mark down the right side of his ribs waiting for the one slide. My niece got pushed down the slide and knocked her head, my nephews skin on his ankle bone was GONE .. and the oldest nephew skinned his elbow all up, on this same slide. Only suggestion is if you have a wee one, 3 or under, hold off on the busy days if you don't want your nerves worked by others people's kids. read more

Kawanis Sprayground is one of my students' favorite water park for field trip after FCAT. The attitude of what's done is done get soak well in the park before reality kicks in. Don't you just love kids. Things I like about this park. It is gated for children's safety. It is appropriate for all ages including 55+. Picnic areas are shaded. Plenty parking space. In case of medical emergency, Fire Department is next door. The playground can hold 30 to 40 kids. It looks small but there are plenty things to keep them amused. Just leave the rest to those playful rug rats. They can never get bored of playing water and chasing each others tails. read more

It's Kiwanis but whatever. Nice little county park with baseball fields, tennis courts, rec center with a community pool. The splash park is fun but it's a little on the small side especially when it gets busy. All the kids gravitate to the slide in the middle. It's nice when you're looking for something to do and don't want to spend money which is nice since it's free. There is a Hawaiian shave ice trailer parked next to the spray park for snow cones, drinks, ice cream bars.... Planned to go for an hour and we left three hours later. Easy for the family to cool down in the water. Just make sure to go earlier in the day. read more

Jeeze, this is gonna be tough, but, I guess, this is a FAMILY venue, so I'm gonna do my best.... Walking distance from my mom's house, which is great for when I'm baby sitting my little niece. She has a total blast, and--truth be told--so do I. In fact, I'm not sure who's having a better time. The Kawanis Sprayground is a free water park located beside Highlander Park in Dunedin. It has a lot of activities for kids to enjoy - fountains, water guns, a small slide, and buckets that pour water down upon anyone caught underneath at the wrong moment. Everything is under the watchful eye of "Nessie", the sea serpent that kids can climb on. There are plenty of benches along the outside of the water park with canopies overhead to provide shade. This is a great place to go during the summer months. Aw, who am I kidding - with our weather, you can go year round and have fun!! It is massively large, I think the official flyer says it is over 3,000 square feet. There are enough options to keep kids amused for hours. Everything is kept super clean and in great repair. We've never had an issue with anything being broken or malfunctioning. There are pavilions right outside the Sprayground that you can rent for birthday parties at the rate of $50 for 4 hours. There are also picnic tables (uncovered) if you don't want to rent the shelter. There are the normal grills located at many of the picnic tables. There is also a normal playground right beside the Sprayground if you get tired of being in the water. This is a great alternative if you don't want to hit the beach or pay to get into Adventure Island, especially if your kids are young enough that they can't swim or aren't interested in the slides. read more

Took my little one here today for the first time. Only been meaning to go all dang summer and finally made an effort to get out there before summer is over. I don't think this is the biggest spray ground in town but it's the closest one to my house. This gets a 5 star for convenience factor. Close to home, easy and close parking, bathroom, shaded areas and benches provided for you. Sounds a heck of a lot easier than a trip to the beach. Just bring a snack and maybe your own pool chair in case the benches are full. That's all there is too it. Fun factor is pretty high here too. Lots of different spray apparatuses tall and short for kids (or overgrown adult kids) of all ages. Best of all - FREE Yep. I think we'll be coming here a lot more next year. read more

A nice splash park with plenty of room for fun. Parking is free and there is usually a snow cone vender there as well. There is a small picnic area that has nice coverage from the sun but the actual splash area is pretty sunny. There is also a park and a city pool close by for when you have had enough time at the splash pad. It does get very busy on the weekends so you will want to come early as it does get a bit hectic. read more

This park is great! Its a great place for the kids to play without overheating and to burn off some much needed energy. Its especially helpful when I have my nephew with and need something for the boys to do. Compared to most parks (water or not) its a very clean space for kids to play. Finding fun outdoor things to do with the kids in Florida is almost, if not impossible. We practically live at this park. read more
