I've interacted with several different staff members here over the past 19-yrs, all of whom have been very helpful and attentive to my questions and service requests. I've never had a negative experience here. The equipment they initially sold me long ago has performed flawlessly, thanks to their expert service. I won't go into all the detail, but while trying to return 73.00 worth of parts the 'owner' insulted my Mom and threatened physical violence if I did not get out of his store immediately. The counter boys and the owner could not identify the parts they sold me, they accused me of being dishonest, denied saying " I really did not need a recipt" and when I produced one the owner exploded, cursed at me and threatened me. At one point he said" I don't even know where these parts came from" . My response was that "your employee took it right out of the drawer over there". He became infuriated with my honesty. No refund. I called My CC co and they took care of that. This business is running their shop on a computer circa 1983, they have no inventory lookup and no sales record. The CRT monitor is so poor trying to see drawings is pretty funny. Lot's of pretty machines, zero in the service, and care topic. They have quite a market share, but they don't deserve it. Found the correct parts on line, friendly help, better price, delivered to my home and free returns, I really want to shop locally, but with owners like Lark Lawn it is not easy. read more

I called looking to get my snow dog machine repaired and asked for the service department. I explained the issue on the 2 month old machine and was asked if I purchased it there. I miss understood and said yes but I had bought it from the original owner. The service man basically called me a liar and told me since I was not a loyal customer the repair would be 4 weeks out instead of one week if I had bought it there. I called back to complain about the service I was given and the general manager was just as rude. They forget that they are not the only game in town and that word of mouth hurts them. Arrogant and flat out rude. I will NEVER buy anything from them and I would not recommend them to my worse enemy . Very poor customer service and only interested in your purchase. Go back for anything else and you are a pain to them. If I could give them a no star, I would. read more

Dismal customer service! I purchased a Cub Cadet snow thrower in September 2019 and took delivery on November 1, 2019. The delivery person noticed that one of the headlights was not working. He found a loose electrical connection and reconnected it. However, during the course of the winter the headlight continually stopped working and I reconnected it but it would not stay. I called Lark and asked them to pick up the machine and fix it. They said that they would have to charge me for picking it up or charge me to rent a trailer from them. I called Cub Cadet and they would not go to bat for me. I borrowed a trailer and took the machine to Lark for warranty repair on May 13, 2020. I noticed on my receipt that the warranty date is September 25, 2019... the date I purchase the machine, NOT the date I accepted delivery. Today I borrowed the trailer again to pick up my machine. Lark wanted to charge me $36+ for the repair, saying that the problem wasn't a manufacturing defect. Well, if it wasn't a manufacturing defect it must have been an assembly defect because it was defective when I received it. All Lark did was to reconnect the connection and put a cable tie around it so it wouldn't come loose again. I paid over $1300 for this machine and Lark wants to nickel-dime me for $36?!!! I won't do business with Lark again. read more

Make sure the product you buy is something you really want because they won't take it back without charging a $100 restocking fee and providing a store credit. I purchased from them because we had good luck in the past and felt they sold quality products. We won't be back. They do not appreciate loyal customers. read more

I sent the mower to Home Depot. It came back repaired, I tried to tell lark it was a short or draw. Guess what it was! Home depot repaired it for free and gave me $150 back out of the $300 I spent with Lark. Never take anything too Lark lawn and garden. I doubt these guys could fix their own dinner!! read more

Took my chain saw in to replace part of the cover and have the chain sharpened. Returned a week later, new cover installed replacing the old one that had a stripped bolt and chain was sharp and correctly adjusted with right tightness. Fair price and helpful customer service. Definitely will be back for equipment needs. read more

Terrible customer service. Lark refused to help out with return on a brand-new riding mower, when belt broke after 2 hours of use. They would only pick up at a fee of $70. After I jumped through hoops to transport it to them, they discovered the factory had incorrectly installed the belt. I can understand their position if this was an older or used mower, but it is brand-new. They apparently are only interested in the sale. read more

Very rude customer service. I declined them fixing my riding mower because the estimate was $900. Looking at the estimate later I realized they had EVERYTHING in the estimate. The blades were new this spring, I don't need new deck wheels on this old mower and don't need all new belts spindles etc. I just want it to run without jerking. Of course they tried selling me a new mower and said I wouldn't have to pay for the estimate if I bought a mower from them. The cost of the estimate was $37 but when I told him I wanted the breakdown of estimate he told me they don't usually provide that. The 37 dollars was for them to "look at it". I wasn't happy and turned to silently walk away and he was a smart a$$ and said "your welcome!" I turned and walked back to him and said "I don't think I'm asking too much to expect a breakdown of the estimate since I paid 37 dollars for it! (I finally got the breakdown but he wasn't happy.) DO NOT GO HERE!! We were taken for a ride, bought a used mower from them when we had brought our old one in and they said it would cost $300 to fix. So we spent $877.00 for a newer one which broke down four months later. They had mower for 3 weeks charged us $197.00 and it broke again 2 weeks later. Took it back, charged us again $102.00 and didn't even get it off the trailer still broke. Took it back again, the mechanic forgot to replace some parts( Really) had to special order which he tried to make us pay for! Final pick up and they cant get it into gear...asked to have them not work on tractor and please talk to manager 5 different times. As we were waiting for someone to try and make things right, an older gentlemen brought his chainsaw in to have it looked at, they asked him for a $300 deposit just to look at it. Its outrageous that they even have customers they are incompetent and have terrible service. read more
