Wow, Mad Mike is an amazing computer tech, patient, thorough, reasonably priced & timely. He gave me a quick run-through with all of the equipment plugged in this afternoon, including my new router, monitor, printer, keyboard & mouse. A friend had already set up my new gmail address in Mozilla Thunderbird, so Mike & staff transferred my old charter emails & Contacts from Windows Live Mail, in addition to doing duplicate backups, upgrading my desktop from Windows 7 to 10, installing Office 365, saving my favorites, transferring my photos & document files from Windows Explorer & other misc needed tasks since last upgrade in 2015. There will be a learning curve but nothing compared to my worst fears of losing my contacts, emails, documents & photos! If you're still using Windows 7 or Live Mail, don't delay upgrading since they are obsolete. read more

Went in to get power cord that I had went to 6 major stores like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Meijer, places like that. When I went into Mad Mike I showed him what I had been searching for and just gave me the cord. I would have had to wait 2 or 3 days to order it and from $10-$30 spent trying to get this and he was kinda enough to just give it away, to help out and all he wanted was a good review which also happens to be the truth. I have been a customer for near 10 years, Very satisfied, have had Mike build me a computer, its, about 7 yrs old, still humming along. Going to have it brought up to modern times soon. I have grand children that I have purchased various laptops, and anytime they have a issue, ( And you know kids will have issues) Mikes gang has tryed to talk me thru, (By phone) most of the time I have to make the trip and make a personal appearance along with my wounded computer, (When possible) Mikes gang often crowd me in and make a quick diagnosis the prices are more than fair, If you buy or have him build a computer, labor is included in most cases. Mad Mikes is the most honest and helpful IT Service store I have ever had the pleasure of walking into! As someone who knows very little about computers, Mad Mikes explained the issues with my computer in simple terms making me feel comfortable and confident in the discussion rather than stupid. I have a 2011 Macbook Pro, which is very old in Apple terms, but Mad Mikes was willing to help fix it (at a reasonable cost) and didn't push me to just buy a new computer, which is the message I have gotten at Apple stores. I showed up an hour before opening time (8:00 am) to bring my laptop in to get my keyboard replaced due to already being in the area at that time. Mike was not only there already, he walked out to state that "when I'm here, it's open." After a few hours, my keyboard was replaced and works good as new! I had a typical "old lady computer issue" (ie, unplug and restart). The Big Box store could NOT schedule an appointment until next week, and then it would be after 5 PM, and a drop off so they could do the diagnostics. I know that story - it ends with me buying a new computer from BB or paying through the nose for repairs. Mad Mike, on the other hand, said, come on over, let's see what we can do. Mad Mike's has been a god send to the Dennos Museum Center. We have a "Sound Wall" in our Discovery Gallery that was created for us in 1991 - the first of its kind in a museum - and it runs to this day on a 3.5" compact floppy disc! Mad Mike's has been our go to place for new "old tech" hard drives and to make copies of the disc as they wear out. I am confident they will keep it operational for another 25 years.
