This caused the garage door to jam halfway open & me making an emergency run over there to get the door open, her car out, and the garage door closed and secured. My wife called The Garage Door Guy at around 7p and they immediately called back to set up an appointment for the next day to look at the door. They showed up on time, were very professional, and temporarily fixed the door. My mom was told that she'd eventually need a new door, but they didn't try to pressure or hard sell her into a new one. They left her some brochures to look, thanked her, and were on their way. The total cost was $50 which was more than fair! I highly recommend this business. My mother is elderly and they treated her with respect and were very honest. She's very particular and had nothing but good things to say about them!

On December 10th the technician arrived and suggested that the failure was user error, that I had "allowed" the seal to become frozen to the ground. First, I've never heard of such a thing. Our garage door stopped opening or closing last night as one of the wires unspooled and…read moredisconnected. Called Terry this morning and he gave me a time of 11-1 that he would be here. He arrived at 11:30, very courteous and professional got to work right away. He figured out the tension on the spring was wrong and that's why the wire wouldn't stay put. He fixed that, he also fixed the wiring to the garage door opening mechanism that was a bit of a hack job from someone having done the installation on the door themselves. He cleaned it up for us and everything is working great! Did advise that the door likely wouldn't hold up long term (not because of his fixes, just the original cheap DIY install) He gave us a 1 year warranty on his work and the price was so so reasonable, I thought it would be much more expensive. I will definitely be calling again when we are ready to replace the door completely!
