When Jovanne came out to estimate the project, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and confident in his abilities, as well as his team's ability to deliver the best outcome for me. A week later, I was on the schedule and Jovanne came out to begin grading my front yard with a skid. The man is an absolute surgeon with that machine. Although he worked quickly, he was very detail oriented and paid close attention when digging near the house foundation. The next day, Anthony and the rest of the crew came out to do the final laser guided grading and put down seed and erosion blankets. He and his team were efficient and thorough. Took two days to chop down three trees (1 dead, 2 live) with grinding. They even cleaned up and mowed my lawn and cleaned up all the leaves as well as cleaning up all the driveways. We had some large trees and there was debris across three driveways including our neighbors. They did cut an underground hose I was completely unaware of while grinding one of the tree stumps, but Arturo came by a week later and fixed it. They are responsible and have insurance in case any of the workers get injured. With the grinding of the stump and roots, you can't tell there was even a tree there. Keep in mind that they grind the roots about foot deep, so we had to contact the city to mark any gas pipes or electricity lines which wasn't hard to do (city sent someone promptly in a few days)

I didn't get on it immediately partly because of my schedule and health, also because beneficial critters need somewhere to live and I personally don't like suburban neighborhoods cosplaying as golf courses. But the smaller trees were being crowded out and the march of the ball moss continued and it was just time. C and his brother ran late for the original consult but everything else was perfect. Polite, enthusiastic even though they work on some huge old heritage trees--BIG jobs for big names--and this was just a little cluttered lot, a day's work for a team when they usually require two. It was important to me when he said "this is what we love doing, going in and saving trees [for the long term]." The day of? Smooth as glass. Missed one small thing on the list but did at least two others that weren't requested for the price quote. They cleaned up after themselves, they worked around circumstances, and they did that under their own steam because I was out of commission with a severe migraine. Stump from the sizable cedar they removed? What stump? No tripping hazards here, and no possum picnic table kind of stump like another removal company left in my neighbor's yard. It felt great hiring local, the price was fair, and we're happy with the results.
