However, when I tried to explain to the hygienist past billing problems I've encountered (Nov 2024 being the latest) after my last two visits, the hygienist became upset and refused to provide the cleaning. She sent Dr. Marlow in to deliver that news. I explained my concern to him as I did to the hygienist. He said, "That's not how the message was conveyed." Consequently, rather than providing the service promised, I left w/out getting a cleaning. Of note: I informed the office staff about my billing concerns prior to agreeing to an appointment. I tried to communicate clearly my expectations regarding billing so that neither PVD nor I would later have an issue w/ the billing. If booking a patient and then refusing to provide care is the standard this troubled practice has adopted, those looking for a professional practice should choose a different one.

Hygienist a compliment to the Dr. This place lost 3 yes 3 stars for their billing collection practices. My insurance covered everything but 28 bucks. They said they would bill me once insurance paid. In the mean time I went out of work for a heart problem. Left my job to find something less stressful that wouldn't cause the extra stress on my heart. I get a phone call asking for my updated address, explained my above mentioned condition and said I'll pay you as soon as I can, got the bill for 28$ and a call two days later. The very rude collection lady/office person told me and I quote. "We sent you one bill and it was returned, we called got your correct address and billed you again a few days ago. You need to pay this NOW. It costs us $20 per billing that we do not pass on to you." Now the last time I checked a stamp is less than a dollar, haven't mailed anything in years. Paper 1 penny envelope 25 cents. Lady one the phone yelling at me lets be generous $15 an hour, we spoke 3 minutes first call and 4 maybe 5 the next. So based on her math, I should have told her save 20 bucks by not billing me and let's call it even. Dr. Gillette if you decide to change offices, with your hygienist or have a new office staff I would love to continue with you as a patient however I will never step foot into Sage Dental ever again.

I have had about 30 significant procedures with anesthesia over my lifetime. Jepson has done three procedures and two did not go well, that is a bad average so ***I do not recommend him***.Visit 1) Everything went as planned, no pain.Visit 2) No pain but he did not give enough wake-up juice and I was sick and wobbly for the next 8 hours like some African deer shot in the butt trying to walk. He admitted he used a different set of drugs than the first time.Visit 3) He said he would use the same drugs as the first time. I don't think he kept his promise. It was not even close to the same experience as the first time. I felt serious pain through the whole procedure and he did the normal callus doctor thing and KEPT GOING even though he knew it was not working.Anesthesia is a dangerous and tricky art and he does not seem to be as skilled as my expectations require.

I have seen a different dentist every visit for the last couple of years.On our last visit we came in just to have them look at her tongue, at the request of her speech therapist. We got there at 7:40 and they made us wait an hour for an appointment that took two minutes. There have been other times when the wait to get into your appointment has been pretty long. They could improve on their time management.

They did have an option for the children to lay back in the chairs and watch cartoons while they had their work done. It was a very clean business with very friendly staff!
