We have been using Larson Logging for many years and have never been disappointed. Their commitment to doing the best job for the customer is outstanding. But today, they raised the bar! They found two baby squirrels in my tree and carefully carried them down to keep them close to their nest so the momma could find them. They are protected in a box with warm bedding just waiting. What more can you say about a team of men that go the extra mile for that! Exceptional! Thank you!

I think it would behoove this company before cutting trees down inside of a residential area & a wetland area ( signs used to be posted, don't know if they are still) to get proof of HOA permission from whatever home owner that called them or may call them in the future to remove a tree. It's very obvious this area isn't private property to any of the homes here, it belongs to the hoa... Greenbelts aren't owned by the ppl that live there. Now, as of today, this tree is gone. Idk if more were planned to be cut down, but they left after this one & after someone informed them they didn't have permission to be cutting trees.

    Tree removal in progress.

I know stuff happens. But they could've used their auto email system to cancel. In any event, I never use a contactor (for any project) that doesn't keep their first appt or notifies before just not calling or showing up. That always spells trouble. There are too many landscapers who want business. So I'll never call them or visit their nursery ever again. I believe it was Woody Allen who once said, "Just showing up is 90 percent of life." My wife and I visited this location back in February/March to purchase spring/summer flowers and get a quote for a large landscaping project, along with some recommendations. We spoke with a staff member about flowers suited for full sunlight. One of the recommended flowers is still thriving in October, but the other didn't survive more than a month despite following the care instructions. for the landscaping quote, that's where the problems began. We were told by the same staff member to speak with someone else, who wrote down an "appointment" on a sticky note and supposedly entered it into the system. The appointment was scheduled for the end of May. My wife and I took the day off work for the quote, but no one showed up--nor did anyone call. A few days later, my wife called to ask what happened. A different staff member said the person responsible would call back that day or the next--but again, zero contact. Fast forward to October, and we've never heard a word from Todd's Nursery. We've since handled our landscaping project ourselves, likely at a lower cost, and honestly, after witnessing their incompetence, we're glad we did. If this is how they handle quotes, we can only imagine how poor the actual service and timing would have been. Bottom line: complete lack of customer service, consideration, and professionalism. Don't waste your time requesting quotes from Todd's Nursery--look elsewhere for companies that value their customers and actually want to do business.

I am very, very happy with the new patio Jose and team installed. They are an excellent company to…read morework with for the following reasons: QUALITY - paver layout is beautiful, & they installed extra gravel & drainage pipes to address my "swamp" COMMUNICATION - I always knew exactly what was happening, when the workers/trucks would be here. Before work began, Jose responded promptly to my requests for changes in design, gave detailed drawings &estimates PRICE - it was a very fair price, and lower than the other bid I got for a simple rectangular design DESIGN - my requirements were a bigger patio that covers up the swamp. Jose came up with a plan that has curves to fit in well with the curves in my existing landscape, plus the swamp is gone! He gave me advice on which sizes of pavers would work well in the design. PROFESSIONALISM - every day the team was on time and left the area cleaned up. They laid and re-laid pavers until they were satisfied with the look. They spent a lot of time leveling and fixing places where water pooled on my lawn/old patio. They improved the downspout drains and crawlspace vents. Call them for your project, you'll be glad you did!

After 2 years living in our Issaquah rambler, we were tired of our grubby back yard. With a very…read moresloping hillside slumping into it, the constant roll of rocks, and puddling of runoff made the space not very enjoyable. Our small deck, and a big dirt patch was also not a clean or functional space for us or our dog - so it was time for a change. Once we set our minds to investing in a renovation, I met with 7 (yes 7!) concrete, rockery, and paver providers to discuss the projected heat their ideas, and solicit quotes. A number of the providers were visionless, one was rude, and another was wildly expensive (twice as much as any of the others). Enter Jose and J Zamora Construction. While my initial vision for the space was admittedly to have a concrete patio, with a paver retaining wall - after meeting with Jose, my mind changed. In the most genuine and non-pressuring tone possible, he educated me about the benefits of using pavers (repairability, less cracking risk, better drainage, etc). That, combined with both his understanding of the challenges of my property, as well as his unique lense on a design for our space - made Jose a stand out. I also greatly appreciated that when I expressed specific wishes, he did not take offense when those ideas didn't align with his initial recommendation. When some providers acted put-off when I said "I don't want to take out this tree" (etc.), Jose took it in stride and offered solutions rather than trying to convince me that my preference was unreasonable. After viewing our property, he was prompt, kind, and fair in his quote to us. His documentation was thorough and clear. That, along with his truly aesthetically, and functionally minded vision for our space convinced me to completely pivot from "I'm doing concrete", to "let's go with pavers". After hiring Jose, he recommended products that suited our combined vision for my yard, was transparent about potential overages, and ultimately executed a project that is beyond my dreams for our difficult space. His crew of 6 busted their behinds for 4 solid days to crack it out. They were prompt, respectful of my property and neighbors; and thorough in their daily, and end of project cleanup. They even went above and beyond to carefully re-lay our dog's invisible fence line, which was displaced in the underground drainage portion of our project. Ultimately, we're left with the addition of nearly 1000 square feet to our livable space. An area that started as a grubby dirt patch has become a clean and stunning use of space. It flows with the natural landscape, and looks cohesive with our very mid century home. We have had neighbors (known to us and new introductions) stop by with their jaws on the floor - one even saying "you've made this yard the showpiece of the mountain". Once we paint the house - our sweet little rambler will be perfection - and we have Jose to thank for so much of our exterior transformation. We paid such a premium price for a frustrating experience: over promising and under delivering. From the timeline expectation (From start to finish approx 2 years) We had to reach out to the company consistently for updated timelines on the project. The company has also poor communication amongst each other, Which caused even further delays. We worked with James for a project manager. We appreciated his candor and usual responsiveness in the beginning. Although it wasn't uncommon for a whole month to go by with multiple unanswered emails. There was minor issues continuously, some of the major included: *The Design. Our designer was Bruno, who did a good enough job (we sent Father Nature a swim spa .pdf installation guide, so he could design around the specs) While his design was very nice, during the execution of it, modifications had to be made for functionality AND safety. We found their 3d computer rendering imaging pretty deceptive. The biggest issue here was a lot of confusion around clearance pertaining to the swim spa. (Although it was stated in the .pdf) *Our sales manager was Cameron. Concerning the cost proposal, We were shocked to spend tens of thousands more as not everything was included. While unforeseen circumstances happen, Cameron (who presented our proposal) was not detail orientated when it came to outlining what we will need to pay for to have the backyard that was proposed. Some example: Concrete base pad for the swim spa, Trenches dug, Gas line, Seating/bar area, Lighting package- some path lights were installed instead of uprights, There was Not ENOUGH lights proposed, as they did not measure it out-leaving the south side of our yard in the dark. Cameron did attempt to amend some of this pricing and adknowledged our frustration. He did add an additional 12 inches of fence for free (To mimic the 3d rendering image they presented) *Concrete work that the average eye would question and professionals would call embarrassing. Measurements that are off with an uneven result. Not smooth. *The work team was lead by Oscar, who we didn't have arising issues with. He is friendly, approachable and kept communication open while him and his team executed the project. There were days the work team was pulled away from our job to finish up other pending jobs, although I don't fault Oscar in that. *Our plants arrived earlier than the the work team were able to plant them-leaving myself to have to unexpectatily care for them. We also did have to utilize their plant replacement policy. We were initially told one year, but when we reached out, they said it was only a six month warranty. (Not ideal when these are planted fall, and some of these plants won't show until the following summer time.) A a few did not make it, including a cypress tree. We did get them replaced, but there was concern the tree didn't get enough water. (Did I mention FN did our irrigation???!) *May 2022 The irrigation was not connected. (Which I was informed by our typical irrigation company), I reached out to Father Nature to fix it. Luciano was one of the guys who did the original wiring in the fall but then we were introduced to Carl, who had to come back out to fix it in the spring. *The last pending item of our project was a seating area designed by Bruno. The concrete walls had holes in it and didn't have a "finished" look. Not being contractors ourselves, what we had to go by was that beautiful 3d rendering image plus the proposal stating: "smooth finish on exposed areas". Asking Cameron and Carrie about this type of look, they stated that the holes mean we have "strong walls" ...(Whew...I hope so?) and it was suggested we could have an epoxy paint on there for a more finished look. It was also suggested we do a "back splash". We decided to go forward with that. Father nature did some brief amending on this pricing, but it was still thousands more-another unexpected cost. *The seating area Benches, Originally discussed with Cameron, for the remainder of our project our contact person was James. James told us he took measurements and ordered brackets. Months later after radio silence, we were introduced to, yet another Father Nature employee, Chris Sheer, the president of the company. Chris' did measure. We found out brackets were never ordered. *Dec 2022 we sought out to requested a final bill from them as they went dark again. When the final invoice was sent, we noticed some of their service descriptions were not accurate with the work that was actually done. We settled on a price and on Jan 2023 we paid the final bill. We do get a lot of compliments on our yard. It has a lot of very beautiful features but we would not have taken this bumpy journey again with this company.

First, we were told the cloudy water would clear as things settled down, but the water kept getting more and more cloudy with each passing day. It eventually made the pond look like a mud hole. Second, we had repeatedly asked for planting shelves for water plants, but we failed to notice none were installed (our fault for not noticing this sooner but it was hard to see). Third, when the rains came, the small rocks around the edge of the pond began sliding into the pond as it started collapsing in on itself. We contacted a pond expert to give us his opinion of our pond and when he found out it was installed by a professional he was stunned. He told us our pond was the absolute worst pond installation done by a professional that he had ever seen. He told us the only way our pond could be fixed was to start all over from scratch. He provided us with a long list of deficiencies. The most glaring were: 1. The small waterfall was fed by a pump and the return Olympic installed was located directly under where the waterfall entered the pond. Accordingly, our water was only circulating from the pump to the waterfall, down the waterfall, and then immediately back to the pump. 98% of the pond water was not circulating at all which explains why it kept getting visually worse. 2. The pond walls had a slope to them which guaranteed that the rocks would eventually slip down the slope and into the pond. 3. We had no adequate filter system installed. The list goes on. We immediately retained the services of the pond expert who rebuilt the pond correctly for $50,000. It now functions perfectly, there's clear water, no rock slippage, and proper filtration. Olympic is claiming they built the pond according to our directions. We're not pond experts. We were customers relying on their supposed expertise. Olympic told us that we specifically told them to place the return directly under the waterfall. Why would we say that? To see how far Olympic would take the "we only followed your instructions" argument, I specifically asked them when we were discussing the pond's deficiencies, "Would you build an 8' hole lined with sand?" and Olympic's stunning response was, "Yes, if that's what you want." Seriously? When Olympic came out to look at our pond (which, by then, was already under reconstruction), Olympic's rep would not let my wife talk to explain the deficiencies. He was treating her quite rudely in front of witnesses. When I arrived to participate in that conversation, I found a defensive, rude, and arrogant man standing there. When we told Olympic we were not looking for a full refund, but we wanted something to acknowledge the lousy job they did, they absolutely refused to refund even a dollar. Their argument was they would have been happy to "repair" the pond under their warranty. That's a crock when their position now is that the pond was built to our specifications exactly. Why would they cover anything under warranty if that's their belief? Olympic continues to claim we didn't give them a chance to fix it (fix what...they say it was perfect). First, we gave them no "specifications" other than a natural looking pond that did not look manmade. Second, given how badly the pond was built (the worst the pond expert had ever seen that was professionally installed), we had no faith that Olympic could rebuild the pond correctly. If they had that expertise, they would have built the pond correctly in the first place. We asked them for $10,000 to settle all claims. They claim they did everything per our instructions and they would have fixed all the problems if we had notified them. The fact that they are saying they built the pond perfectly shows they don't accept responsibility for their lousy work. Fair warning if you do business with Olympic. They will blame you for giving them bad directions and then demonstrate they have no ability to do the job they contracted to do. Look at how many 1 star ratings they have.
