Most unprofessional and rude people I have come across in residential real estate, especially David de ANDA and Eddy. They have no consideration for someone's time, David didn't even show up to the showing after setting up time, it was a no show. Even after multiple calls/ texts at the same time, never received any apology and instead calls and gets angry that how dare we see the house without him and talk to the renter/owner. We make time from our busy schedule and he is inconsiderate. Calls/texts and emails from him are so rude, I wonder how anyone does business with him. On Calling Eddy, to address my concerns about David's attitude and their zero customer service and unprofessionalism, he disregards and says we don't cater you. Do me a favor please find some other agency and agents. Don't waste your time with these people. read more

I'd been a tenant of George Izquierdo's (President of Las Casas Realty long ago) for about 15 years. Over the years of my tenancy, George had mentioned several times that one of the missions of Las Casas is to help people get out of being just tenants, and into homeownership. I always felt that homeownership was unattainable for me. George kept letting me know it was not. He would tell me stories about how he started with his first home, and it was truly inspiring. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit and interest rates tanked, George gave me a call to let me know that it was a perfect time to buy. I faltered for a bit, being nervous (and frankly, scared) of taking on the responsibility that owning your own house entails. That said, George had on many times helped me out in many ways to help me save money for a down payment. I still faltered, but eventually took him up on his offer to help by getting me started with an agent. On the Yelp page, it says that George is "an artisan of a different kind... We first met with Jeremy Maresca, who works with Las Casas and was helping me out with the loan process. I was prequalified and then preapproved quickly, and was kept very well informed throughout the process. Jeremy, Andrew, and George were always available to talk and answer questions, no matter the time. My fiancée and I went to look at a variety of homes with Andrew. He never had an issue driving out far to meet us, during the week or on the weekend, and working with the sellers' agents to make the process go smoothly. Apparently Priscilla doesn't understand that cats poop in litter boxes and typically can't open doors... like that door she removed the doorstop from and closed. Also I wasn't surprised I wasn't getting my security deposit back and I have to say that the actual landlord explained why and there was no argument on my end. I always had a great connection with him. Now I think the carpet needed to be replaced per CA landlord and rental guidelines prior to my move-in and that taking money out of my deposit to trim an ancient avocado tree that hadn't seen a professional arborist in decades (as supported by my roommate who was getting her Masters degree in landscape architecture) was a bit much but he got no argument from me. I just thought you might want to own the fact that you locked the cats out of their one and only toilet so they defecated and urinated all over my belongings and my child's bed. read more

I'm a native Angeleno and was a renter in Highland Park for 5 years. I fell in love with the neighborhood and was set on staying close-by. However, David De Anda was the only agent that encouraged me to keep looking. He said "don't worry, be patient, have faith in me and the right home will come along." He urged me to take an informative class for first-time buyers at Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles (NHS) and then meet with his contact at Wells Fargo. Sure enough in early 2013, I closed on my very first home. Not only did he find me a craftsman in my price range but he also helped me obtain 30k toward my loan! The certificate from NHS qualified me for funds through a Wells Fargo first-time buyer program. I have referred him to many friends and they have also been amazed at his ability to match them with the right home. Warning! Do not waste your time with David De Anda from Las Casas Realty inc. This agent is very unprofessional and extremely unreliable. I've been trying to lease a property that he is representing and it is almost impossible to get a response from him, all I get is excuses. The only time that I got a reply within a reasonable timeframe was on my initial contact but every other time that I needed to get an update on the status of my application it was almost impossible. I had to contact other people in his office in order to be able to speak to him regarding my application. He kept telling me that he will call me back, but never did on multiple occasions, he kept saying that he was waiting to hear from the owner of the house but when I finally spoke to the owner of the house it also seemed like the owner was having a difficult time getting David to do things within a reasonable timeframe. My overall experience dealing with David De Anda was extremely frustrating and I would not recommend his services. David lacks basic communication skills and respect for other peoples time. If you value any of those two things then I would recommend you go somewhere else if you have the opportunity to do so. I saw a few other negative reviews online about David De Anda from Las Casas Realty and thought that maybe it was an isolated incident with the other people that had communication issues but after dealing with him for almost 2 weeks I can confirm that he indeed is a headache to work with.
