This is a Yucatan Restaurant. I'd say a gem due to nothing else being around. It has the typical Mexican food options tacos carne asada Pollo asada pork dishes. I had the pork Yucatan it was good. not the best pork dish I have ever had but decent. My wife had the Carne asada tacos. they were a bit dry honestly. The horchata was not the best. I would skip that if you are a connoisseur. The cost for 4 with double drinks no desserts was 62 us dollars if in the area again I would probably try a different place. But overall not bad

After touring the Chichen Itza archeological site for four hours, we were looking for a restaurant that was in the adjacent town. Immediately after leaving the site on the main thoroughfare, we saw a well kept restaurant with parking adjacent. "Good enough", we thought, not expecting much, but we would soon be pleasantly surprised. We were greeted in Spanish that quickly changed to English at our response. We elected to sit inside in the clean, spacious, and comfortably air conditioned interior. The service was fast and gracious. The menu (in Spanish or English) had a variety of appetizers, fish, chicken, steak, and pork. After a starter of homemade tortilla chips and salsa, the main dishes were served in an attractive manner. The fish was excellent and tender, and the pork and chicken meals were also very tasty. For less than $10 US apiece we left filled and content.

Stopped by for lunch on our way to Chichen Itza and were pleasantly surprised by this little spot. The service was great and we had a very knowledgeable waiter who was able to answer all our questions in great detail. The chips and salsa were fresh and the habanero sauce was hot hot hot! We tried the quesadillas, papadzules, the steak fajitas, the tzic de res, and the chaya with pineapple. The meat was tasty and well marinated. Everything tasted authentic. With the exception of the papadzules, which I didn't personally taste, everyone was happy with what they ordered. Overall a great experience and a restaurant I would revisit if the opportunity presents itself. Side note: they don't take cards so be prepared with enough cash before eating here.

After visiting the Chichen Itza ruins we were hungry but needed to get away from the touristy restaurants that were on site. It was late afternoon between lunch and dinner so there were only a couple of other tables occupied. Needless to say, the service was great. We ordered beers all around. Chips & salsa came out next but my husband also ordered nachos. They were alright. Here's what we ordered for the main course: Marc-Pollo Pibil which he really enjoyed. Randy-Poc Chuc a pork tenderloin cooked in garlic, sour orange & grilled onions. He liked it. My hubby-Panuchos which were tostadas. He thought they were O.K. Me-Cochinita Pibil. They were good but the best I've had are from Chichen Itza in L.A. They atmosphere was nice & we had a nice relaxing time.

The place to eat when visiting Chichen Itza. Skip the Mayanland Buffet and come here instead. Inside it is spacious and breezy. Food was excellent and well priced (inexpensive compared to Cancun and Playa del Carmen)! The chips and salsa were wonderful!

I was impressed. Not too many nicer options in the area but we opted to skip the "official Chichén Itzá Restaurant" as it looked a cafeteria. No veggie options other than a salad but waiter spoke good English so we figured out a combo. Everyone in my party really enjoyed the meal, food quality and preparation was very good. Kitchen looked super clean and orderly, they had bacteria killing lights in kitchen as well. I would highly recommend to anyone hungry and near Pisté or Chichén Itzá.

Good food. Large portions. Great service. Clean restrooms. WiFi. This restaurant is down the street from Chichen Itza and I recommend you stop by before you head out. Parking is available in the lot behind it (Don't turn on the little street.). Enter via the driveway. See attach photos for pictures of the food.

This is a tourist stop, with busses stopping right across the street. Of course, while you wait to have your order taken or your food to come out, the drinks are flowing. No problem with that service. When I got my food, it was pretty good, but a little expensive. I enjoyed the tortilla chips and salsa. The house made guacamole was delicious, though.

It's a traditional colonial style Spanish building with an open atrium in the middle complete with a running fountain directly in the center. They are well known for their brunch, but we stopped in for the lunch service. It was quite crowded when we got there, but we were able to be seated right when we arrived. They have a fairly large menu filled with all sorts of Mexican dishes, all the ones that we tried fantastic. I chose the chicken pool because it was the only new one for me. Was raised in San Diego and live in Los Angeles so most of the dishes on the menu I can find back at home but the pinup was a new one for me and I really loved it. The restaurant location is very walkable and is in the outer ring of the city center aka Plaza de Armas. Is easy to walk to the farmers market in the center courtyard or to one of the other many shops close by. I would definitely recommend to anyone to stop here when visiting Valladolid and I will definitely be back next time I am in the area.

We loved that we could dine outdoors (and hangout with like 15 stray dogs haha) and this was incredibly close to the Mayan Ruins at Chichen Itza so we were able to grab food here the night before our tour of the ruins. Started off with some pork tacos and some assorted empanadas. The empanadas were good but I would say out of the three things I tried they were my least favorite. The flavor was solid and the fillings and consistency were enjoyable but they lacked the pop of the other two dishes for me personally. I added some of the hot salsas they brought to the table and that made these even better but the tacos and my entree definitely held the edge. These tacos were served on a thicker tortilla than the tortillas they brought for our entrees. I really enjoyed the texture and mouth feel of this compared to a typical corn tortilla. It had more flavor as well to me. The pork had great flavor and was very tender, and the toppings as well as both hot salsa's on this was really great together. I'd eat these tacos all day long. For my entree I decided to get the "Chochinita Pibil" platter. This is this regions famous go to dish so it made perfect sense to try it out. It's a pork that is slow roasted with interesting seasonings like cinnamon, achiote, and allspice. The flavor on this was not similar to things I've had before and I enjoyed it so much. The pork was super tender and there was a bit of a smoky flavor as well. I made some tacos with it and added some of the rice and mole and it was seriously an awesome bite. Would order this again 10 out of 10 times here. 3 entrees with tacos, empanadas, and sodas was like $30 usd or something. Insane. Loncheria Fabiola - Didn't Suck!
