Just what we were looking for! Market with everything inside and a Mom and Pop taqueria. They serve daily specials and the usuals. All their tacos are insane and so are their tamales. We love this place and will definitely make this our fo to spot for Mexican food whenever the craving hits. The staff are amazing! Thanks ladies. It was deliciousa!

Came by for a quick breakfast and really enjoyed our meal. If you're a first timer, head to the cashier to pay first and then to the counter to get your food. The menu is simple and has pictures so it makes it super easy to order. We got a couple of chorizo and egg tacos, one bacon and egg taco, a lengua, and a barbacoa taco to share. All tacos are $2.50 apiece. Also split a small menudo ($8.50). Everything was hot, fresh, and super tasty. Menudo is only offered on the weekends but I want to come back on a Friday for caldo de res. I loved their salsa verde sauce! Excellent place to come for no frills, (seemingly) authentic Mexican food.

Small hole in the wall mexican market/diner.Stumbled upon this while hunting for breakfast tacos during the week.I had potatoe&egg tacos,Chorizo&egg and Barbacoa tacos.Potatoe&egg was the best one.Chorizo&egg was dry and over cooked.Barbacoa was ok but not nearly as good as san antonio tx barbacoa. It passed though. Its a friendly diner environment with a small grocery market inside. They sell fresh made aguas frescas,Lemonade and or Watermelon agua fresca. My only knock on this place is the tortillas are thin, commercial like dont seem homemade like san antonio tortillas.Oh well,i'll take what i can get for now.Best thing about it is they serve breakfast tacos during the week.

Yeah it's not pretty, it's partially eaten and sloppy, but it was damn good.

What in the freaking heck did I just eat? It was amazing!! I took a pic of it and sadly though I took a bite out of it so hopefully it's not too nasty to post a half eaten pic. The woman that helped me was so so nice. She treated me like a child and really helped me out. And the meat market meats look so good. Will definitely be back.

Looks can be deceiving. This is a meat grocery market that happens to also serve Mexican food. My lil bro has been here before, so he knew how to order the food. We were greeted by one of the cashiers at the front, who took our food orders before they were made in the open kitchen. We got their barbacoa tacos, and ate them at the counter. The tacos were delicious, especially when adding a little bit of salt, a good amount of fresh lime juice, and their housemade salsa verde sauce, which added a lovely flavor and kick. I also opted for their corn tortillas, instead of the usual flour tortillas. So good! The ladies preparing our food and the cashier were all very nice to us. They were also quite forgiving with the little bit of Spanish that I was trying to practice when saying their food was delicious. I'll definitely come back for my taco fix. If you're looking for something other than tacos, they seem to have a daily menu of different items that they serve. So, come and check them out.

Love this place! I drive all the way from Hockley for the tacos and tortas here. They're very nice people and always make great food! I've been coming here since they first opened up in the other corner of the strip center. Great prices and they load the tacos all the way up, not like these little taco trucks that barley give you any meat. I never find gristle in the meat either which is a big win for this place. I will be back again and again. Highly recommend their tacos!!!

Very yummy and more traditional tacos. I tried the al pastor tacos. The pork was well seasoned and tender. The tortillas were fresh and the onions and cilantro were perfect. The fresh corn tamale was moist. It had a wonderful corn flavor. The beef Gordita was delicious. I ordered a fresh melon juice that was a perfect accomplishment. When you go you have to order at the check out by the door then give your ticket to the ladies behind the counter. The drinks and tamales are self serve

We have been going here as a family since they moved from the smaller space in the same shopping strip. We go on Saturday morning and even Sunday's too. It's predominately Spanish speaking, but I get by with my Spanglish, the staff are friendly and look after you quite well. My wife and kids get tacos, egg and bacon, egg and potato, barbacoa, and al pastor. I almost always get their menudo, it's clean flavorful and with adding their fresh homemade pico de gallo its outstanding. There might be better menudo spots in Houston, but I haven't found one yet. On occasion I will buy meat to grill in the afternoon from the carniceria and haven't been disappointed. I have tried the seasoned short ribs and the seasoned fajitas. It's not quite as good as the La Michoacana meat market but I think that is a seasoning preference thing. One tip is you pay up front and get a ticket to take to the counter. Be sure to go and get your drink from the cooler before you order and pay. So....you buy your tacos by giving them a quantity and either flour or corn tortillas, pay for them then present the ticket to the kitchen at the counter. They will then ask what you want in them. Be prepared to know what you want. Give it a try, have and open mind and enjoy something that's a little different than your average restaurant. One of our favorite breakfast spots on the weekend.

Best barbacoa tacos I have ever had. It's a regular for me. I usually go a couple times a week. Menudo is good also. Had the lengua tacos last time and they were good. Wife loves the regular bacon and egg tacos. Super nice people and if you want some monster tamales they got em!
