After years of not protecting my face with SPF because I didn't want the oily lotion on my already oily face, I started to get lots of dark/sun spots as I got older. Early last year, I finally decided to make an appointment for a free consultation here at Laser Spa & Center. The esthetician, Tatiana, recommended for me 3 treatments of IPL (Intense Pulse Light) and 3 treatments of Microneedling. Each treatment one month apart, a total of 6 months to complete. The esthetician wanted me to start on my IPL first. The most interesting thing about this treatment, your spots will get super dark before it starts to fade. It actually looks way worse then when you first started. I mean, it looks like someone took a black Sharpie pen and drew dots all over your face. She told me not freak out but I did when I saw how dark it looked in the next few days. And lo and behold, it then starts to fade. By the third treatment, she cranked up that dial and went to town on my face. Spots that weren't there showed up. By the end of my IPL treatments, pretty much all my spots had faded except for the ones right under my eyes. The tissue is too thin there and she is not allow to work around that area. Benefits of IPL includes: - Brighter, Firmer, Tighter Skin - Brighter, more even tone from dark/sun damage - Improved Texture - Reduced Redness - Reduced Pore Size Microneedling - Collagen Induction Therapy. A microneedling pen (dermapen), vertically pierces the skin with hundreds of micro holes to naturally stimulate collagen and elastin. You lose most of your collagen in your 30s. She first numbs my face for half an hour. As she starts going over my skin with the dermapen, I start to bleed, this allows for new collagen to come out. The needles ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 millimeters will be used on different parts of your face. Some areas of your face will hurt more, such as the nose where the tissue is thin. - Benefits of microneedling includes: - Skin tightening and lifting - Improves acne scars - Improves wrinkles and fine lines - Minimizes pore size Results may vary and recovery time is different for everyone. For me, I was told that I didn't bleed as much as some other patients. My face felt tight for the first few days. All the redness were gone by the third day. As the weeks went by, I see an immediate difference, especially after my 2nd and 3rd treatment. Some frown lines around my mouth bothered me when I didn't smile. After all the treatments were complete, the frown lines were a lot less noticeable. I also noticed that my skin was less oily. Today was my fourth microneedling treatment. I will go back from time to time to maintain the health of my skin. The esthetician, Tatiana, is a sweetheart. Very professional and always made sure I was not in too much pain. As far as pain goes, it was a 2 for me from a scale of 1-10. I am loving the results and highly recommend these two treatments to look younger. UPDATE! Although I was extremely disappointed with the lack of communication while things were shut down and the way in which they decided to reopen, placing the burden on each patient to call to be rescheduled rather than the reverse, the people who work here are so pleasant and understanding. I can't speak to the results as yet because I am not done with my treatments, but the office is taking every precaution to protect the patients (and them) and feeling safe goes a long way for me. I have nothing to say but good things about this place. I'm getting married this year and of course every woman wants to look amazing for there wedding and honey moon. I get such bad razor bumps and I've tried all types of razors for sensitive skin and nothing helps. I decided to try laser and Magda was amazing! She was professional and gave me a great price. Warning!! Owners are greedy and do not understand how to do business. I spent over $2000 here on laser hair removal. I moved out of state and requested a partial refund. They wouldn't even give me back $100. Not $50. Nothing! After spending thousands of dollars. A good business would atleast give back a token given that I moved out of state. Came back after several years for a touch-up, this is still my go-to Laser Center for hair removal. Morlie is no longer there but there is a new laser technician who really knows her stuff and did a great job on me. Very professional staff, and the price (4 treatments for $199 on the face) was unbeatable. They use a new laser now for women of color called the Venus, it's even better than the Yag and completely painless. I still highly recommend this spa! read more

Please avoid this place. I purchased a coupon for an IPL facial (a laser treatment) from Living Social. Upon arriving at this office, even though I was the only patient in the waiting area, it took almost 5 min. before either of the two women talking at the front desk even acknowledged my arrival. One of these women, the receptionist I guess, eventually gave me some forms to fill out and was actually very pleasant. The other woman, wearing a lab coat, brought me to the treatment room and proceeded to prepare me for the procedure without introducing herself, looking as bored and disinterested as possible. I thought that she was the doctor, as all the other times I have had an IPL facial in other medi-spas they were always performed by a physician. The woman looked annoyed when I asked her who she was and told me she was Olga. I then asked, "Are you a doctor?" and she told me that she was not a doctor but an Esthetician. I then asked "aren't only doctors allowed to do this procedure in NJ?" Olga told me that isn't true- she was permitted to perform IPL facials. I should have left then, but I took her word for it. She never did a skin evaluation, or asked me what my concerns were or even cleanse my face. Thankfully I knew not to have sunscreen or facial cream on, but she never asked. The treatment is supposed to last 30 min. but this one took about 7 min. Olga only did a few zaps with the laser, at a low level, missing several areas on my face and told me I would need about 5 more treatments and not to expect much improvement with this first treatment. As I have had great results before with even 1 IPL facial at other offices, I knew that was not the case. After she finished with the laser, she tried to just wipe off the sticky gel used with a paper towel, which didn't work. I had to ask her twice if I could just wash my face, but she finally used something like a baby wipe to take off the gel. She was thorough in applying the sunscreen. The office and treatment room, while not dirty, did seem very sad and dreary and nothing was offered to make the experience a pleasant one. These treatments aren't cheap- I would have been a lot angrier if I paid full price for an experience that was impersonal, not thorough,and rushed. The bottom line is that after I got home, I made a few inquiries and found out that Olga was wrong about being allowed to do this procedure. In NJ, only physicians are allowed to do this treatment. No doctor was even at the location while I was there. Olga is putting her license in jeopardy and the administrators are asking for big headache if the State Board hears about this. Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable medi-spa for photo facials. There are enough good ones around and you deserve better than this. read more

Advance Laser Center: I like my experience with cavitation treatments. I had two babies 2 years apart and my stomach doesn't look as flat like before. Also, I got stench marks from them. With this treatment I could see the difference and my marks got smaller. Gala, the lady who took care of me was really great and she seems to know her stuff very well too. I love her!! Also, Nadia the receptionist was always kind and helpful. The reason of why I don't give a 5 starts is because the hours available for the cavitation treatments are difficult. Every was very patient and kind to me, especially Tatiana - who took the extra step to discuss my condition and recommend the best treatment for me. Tatiana changed my life. Truly. I don't hide my face in the shadows anymore. I don't rash or have embarrassing facial hair to maintain sometimes twice a day. The procedure is legitimate - and I have the most sensitive skin you could imagine. I never leave this place with anything more than a little redness, and the results are always obvious. Don't do IPL photo facial here! It was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made. The woman who perform the treatment was even not a doctor, and was always in the terrible mood. No pre-examination, no pre-cleaning, no aesthetic cream, no communication, and a 5-mins treatment, which should be more than 20 mins.
