Though I understand it is not effective for everyone. The treatments are insanely expensive, so I recommend saving up or opening a new credit card to earn points with your payment. Milan offers "unlimited" sessions (with the asterisk that no longer applies if they go out of business or change their name) per body area (which can be specific or a bundle - full body, lower or upper legs, panty line or brazilian, belly, chest, back, underarms, neck, face, upper lip, etc). I consider the unlimited package an advantage for hair growth driven by hormonal causes as hormones may fluctuate and you may need ongoing touchup sessions. A word of caution that the pain can be intense, especially as sessions go on. I wish they offered a free trial session so people could see if they can handle it before committing. The office here in Beaverton is clean and the staff has been friendly and welcoming. Scheduling is simple but they are quite booked up. As a customer you're able to visit any office in the United States, but this one has been the most convenient for me.

The Soprano XL is a phenomenal laser and is a fairly new addition in the market. The technology is top-notch and it really was pain-free (and surprisingly fast). I couldn't find another place in the Portland metro area that had comparable laser equipment. Marietta runs this place on her own and she does a darn good job at it :) She is extremely knowledgeable, communicative and highly-skilled at what she does. However, I still stand by my concern that the membership terms and wording should have been much clearer from the beginning. I'm glad Balm took my concerns seriously and made an effort to make things right. I hope the website will be updated soon to provide more clarity, so issues like this can be avoided in the future. I had 2 laser hair removal treatments here. While the service was nothing to write home about, the way this business handles its memberships is incompetent at best and shady at worst. I signed up for their LARGE LASER MEMBERSHIP, which is advertised on their website as having the benefits of "Any 1 Extra-Large Laser" and "Any 2 Large Laser" each month, with savings of $304/month and a retail value of $603 (screenshot below). Maybe I'm delusional, please let me know, but how is anyone supposed to interpret that wording as anything other than 1 extra large + 2 large services included? Even their own membership portal shows 3 separate coupons for these 3 services. I had my extra large laser with no issue, but when I came back for the 2 large services, the tech told me I actually had to choose between the extra large and 2 large services (?). I ended up having to cancel my appointment and go home. Their manager reached out via text and basically admitted that the wording on the website AND the membership portal is misleading, and that I actually did have to choose between the 2 options. I asked for a refund because I wouldn't have purchased the membership had the terms been clearly stated. Of course, they refused. At this point, I've given up on trying to get a refund. I don't have the time or energy to keep going back and forth with these people. I'm posting this as a PSA for anyone considering signing up for any of their laser memberships: ask a lot of questions before giving them your money.

While I understand that risks and consent forms are part of cosmetic procedures, that does not change the outcome I experienced after treatment at your clinic. Prior to beginning treatments, I was specifically told that 3 Nouvaderm sessions would help remove my dark spots and improve my skin. Instead, after my final treatment, my pigmentation became significantly darker and I developed visible marks and irritation that I did not have before. Since then, I have consulted with multiple independent skin specialists and nurses, who expressed concern that my skin may have been overtreated and that improper laser settings likely contributed to the hyperpigmentation and damage I am now dealing with. I am currently facing thousands of dollars in corrective treatments because of the condition my skin was left in afterward. Your statement that there was "no evidence" of damage during my follow-up does not invalidate my experience or the professional opinions I received afterward from other providers. Hyperpigmentation and laser-related skin trauma can worsen over time, especially in deeper skin tones. I shared my review to honestly describe my personal experience and to encourage others to thoroughly research providers and understand the risks before committing to expensive treatments.

I have only had Dysport, nothing else and recently went to an equally if not a better location for similar injectables at the Vancouver waterfront and it was a fraction of the price. You can also find Groupons (then cross check their Yelp reviews) for a fraction of that. I usually prefer to do lasers etc when I travel because it is MUCH LESS than of the price for the same treatments in the states, but I usually get Botox at home. Overall the vibes are weird, cons of treatments (other than dangerous) aren't really shared, or alternative options for the look you want are not shared (if not sold here) similar to other reviews. I originally tried Dysport in my massetur muscles in my jaw for tension. It helped of course but I did notice slight jowling after which I found out was correlated/caused from Botox in the jaw from tiktok vids. Needless to say, it isn't addressing the underlying problem and is just a bandaid. My last appointment here, I shared I wanted to look a little lifted and refreshed mostly under my eyes. I had done lasers and microneedling in the past which helped, but was short lived. Now -- more thanks to tiktok -- I probably need to fork over for sculptra or sofwave. This will NOT be fixed by injectables. My nurse told me she could do a little cheek filer and some other filler around my face. Mind you, I'm terrified of filler. Potentially I would want a facelift down the line which I have heard can complicate that process, but mostly I don't like the bloated look, it is often so obvious and then you become blind to it, keep getting it, and look crazy. Especially in the cheeks. I already have full lips so I don't need that. It was sold as if it would even out my face and give more balance, and I thought about it, did trust the nurse, who had great texture but who's own filler was still a tad overdone, making me a little wary. It's not like Botox where it wears off over months. You're getting it "dissolved" or whatever with little lumps lying around forever, so I wanted to take the time to think about it and ended up canceling. I could see others being very pressured and trying at the appointment even though I'm sure this is as overpriced as Botox and it gives you the vibes they're trying to hit a metric. They should give you options--even if they don't offer the treatment--for the result you are looking for.
