Each session was 60-90 minutes and I went every six weeks (maybe even more frequently). It hurt quite a bit but she was nice and I kept making appointments. At first she kept saying how she didn't understand why my hair was being so stubborn and then she started saying she could see a lot of progress. I remember one day in particular when I walked out another woman was waiting to go in and asked me if I felt like the treatments were working because she didn't feel it was working for her. All I could say was "well it seems in making progress" even though I shared her doubt as well. I can't say whether Barbara was lying or not but it doesn't really matter because it didn't work...AT ALL. Within a few months all hair had grown back and I still have to shave my face every single day. It doesn't matter what age you are, but with me being in my mid-20s (at the time I was early 20s) it's just hard to be let down like this after wasting so much time and money. Just know that this does not work for very many people (if anyone at all). If you feel like it's working I challenge you to stop for a few months and see if you still feel the same way. I remember feeling very let down by the whole situation because she led me to believe there was no way electrolysis wouldn't work.

Dr. Taylor is extremely thorough when giving an all over skin cancer check. I brought a list of a…read moredozen freckles/moles/pimples that I wanted her to look at and she methodically went through each and every one. When one looked like a pre-squamous cell, she froze it right then and there and went to the next item in my list. This way nothing was overlooked or fell through the cracks. When she was done with my list, she provided an all over check of her own, measuring, having her assistant take notes, sometimes pictures. I've spent a lot of time in the sun growing up near the Jersey Shore and as a daily lap swimmer. One tiny pink pimple turned out to be a basil cell carcinoma, confirmed through a biopsy. Since it was on my jawline, she recommended MOS surgery, where the surgeon will remove tissue around the area then before suturing runs the tissue to the lab to check for clean borders. If the borders are not clean, they remove more. This type of procedure is best for the face where you want to remove the least amount of tissue needed to achieve clean (no cancer) borders. Dr. Tayler referred me to OHSU Dermatology - Dr. Lettenberger performed the surgery and did a fantastic job. Cancer removed and 6 weeks later, scar hardly noticeable. The office is located in the third floor of Lloyd Center Mall off the foodcort area. If you come out of Macy's, make a right and her office is halfway down hall on the right. The office staff, and paperwork they sent, didn't explain this so I was a bit late for my appointment. Office itself is clean, as is the waiting room. All the people who worked there were kind and efficient. After seeing a dermatologist in Hillsboro for 18 years, I'm so happy to find a really good dermatologist closer to where I live. Since it was my first appointment, there was a three month wait. Wear sunscreen! But now that I am a patient, it will be easier to get appointments should a situation arise. Note: OR has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the country! Wear sunscreen everyday! Highly recommend Dr. Taylor for her knowledge, time spent with patient, explanations and extreme thoroughness in exam.

He's a genius, a saint, perfection! Can't wait to continue to see improvements in my skin. UPDATE: This person is now threatening to sue me for slander over this review. Also called me ugly…read moreand an idiot. I'm sure this person's actual skin services and skills are there, however their customer service is not. I had a short text exchange with Harley to set up a consultation, as I have intricate skin due to a genetic condition, I wanted to make sure the person potentially applying chemicals and needles to my skin knew what they were doing. His response was ableist. He dismissed specific concerns about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) skin, stating, "Nobody has experience with that dear." This minimized the challenges associated with EDS, implying that the skin condition is not a valid consideration. Additionally, by mentioning his own experience with EDS and stating, "but it doesn't really pertain to esthetics," he further contributed to a dismissive tone regarding the unique needs of someone with EDS. An inclusive and understanding response would have acknowledged the challenges posed by EDS and expressed a willingness to adapt services accordingly. The statement that Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) has nothing to do with esthetics pertaining to skincare is not entirely accurate. EDS is a rare condition that affects connective tissue, including the skin. People with EDS often have fragile and stretchy skin, making skincare a unique challenge. Common EDS skin problems include sensitive and fragile skin, as well as abnormal scarring due to abnormal collagen production. Therefore, individuals with EDS may need to avoid certain beauty treatments and take preventative measures to care for their skin, such as using moisturizers, sunscreen, and avoiding trauma to the skin. While EDS does not directly relate to traditional esthetic skincare treatments, it does have implications for skincare due to the unique characteristics of EDS skin. Therefore, it is important for individuals with EDS to approach skincare with caution and seek advice from healthcare professionals familiar with the condition. For individuals with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), skincare is a unique challenge due to the condition's effects on the skin. EDS can cause sensitive, fragile skin and abnormal scarring, making traditional skincare treatments potentially risky. I went in for a consultation where I got to share all my aesthetic insecurities. Despite the vulnerability, I felt empowered to make the right decision for me. Further, my decision was treated with respect which made me feel more confident about moving forward. I ended up getting masseter Botox for my TMJ. My injector made me feel comfortable and even provided me with anxiety relief tools. She was precise, patient, and provided wonderful patient care. Unfortunately, my injector is no longer at this business but I'd be willing to see others who are also qualified and experienced. I also appreciate the complementary 2 week follow up because it alleviates any concerns about possible complications.

I have only had Dysport, nothing else and recently went to an equally if not a better location for similar injectables at the Vancouver waterfront and it was a fraction of the price. You can also find Groupons (then cross check their Yelp reviews) for a fraction of that. I usually prefer to do lasers etc when I travel because it is MUCH LESS than of the price for the same treatments in the states, but I usually get Botox at home. Overall the vibes are weird, cons of treatments (other than dangerous) aren't really shared, or alternative options for the look you want are not shared (if not sold here) similar to other reviews. I originally tried Dysport in my massetur muscles in my jaw for tension. It helped of course but I did notice slight jowling after which I found out was correlated/caused from Botox in the jaw from tiktok vids. Needless to say, it isn't addressing the underlying problem and is just a bandaid. My last appointment here, I shared I wanted to look a little lifted and refreshed mostly under my eyes. I had done lasers and microneedling in the past which helped, but was short lived. Now -- more thanks to tiktok -- I probably need to fork over for sculptra or sofwave. This will NOT be fixed by injectables. My nurse told me she could do a little cheek filer and some other filler around my face. Mind you, I'm terrified of filler. Potentially I would want a facelift down the line which I have heard can complicate that process, but mostly I don't like the bloated look, it is often so obvious and then you become blind to it, keep getting it, and look crazy. Especially in the cheeks. I already have full lips so I don't need that. It was sold as if it would even out my face and give more balance, and I thought about it, did trust the nurse, who had great texture but who's own filler was still a tad overdone, making me a little wary. It's not like Botox where it wears off over months. You're getting it "dissolved" or whatever with little lumps lying around forever, so I wanted to take the time to think about it and ended up canceling. I could see others being very pressured and trying at the appointment even though I'm sure this is as overpriced as Botox and it gives you the vibes they're trying to hit a metric. They should give you options--even if they don't offer the treatment--for the result you are looking for.
