Paid $4,000 for laser hair removal that didn't work, and after 2 years of on-time payments LaserAway and their lender hit me with $1,200 in hidden interest--avoid this scam. I was on time to every appointment and there would be times where I sit and wait 40 mins after my starting time. Front desk would say that's normal. The one time I'm late 8 mins they couldn't complete my full service request even though the grace period is 10 minutes. I have been wanting laser hair removal on my underarms for quite some time. I finally decided to take the plunge but I wanted a reputable establishment to perform the laser treatments. I've seen numerous advertisements on social media about Laser away so I inquired. Hayley was my representative that did a phone meeting with me. She was very informative and let me know about special packages offered and financing. I jut paid up front for 8 sessions and it was a quick check out. I also had to do a FaceTime with a nurse from Laser away who asked me health questions just make sure I was ok to start the laser treatments. They booked me right away and the appointment was quick- about 15 mins! I showed up earlier than my 5 o'clock appt and they went ahead and took me back early. It wasn't too painful, I felt it more on my left side for some reason. The machine blows really cold air so it minimizes the intensity. They are open 7 days a week and close at 8pm. Super convenient for all. My sessions are spaced a month apart so I got a little journey ahead of me. So far I'm very impressed with their customer service and you really do get what you pay for, the quality is worth the $$. read more

I was having dinner next to LaserAway last night. I decided to go in and get some information. It was pretty late in the day and Marisella was at the desk, she was super nice very personable. She made me feel welcome to come in and ask questions. She was very knowledgeable about every service that they offer and she answered every one of my questions without hesitation. I was interested in laser hair removal, she explained the full process to me and let me know that it wasn't painful. I really appreciate that because I was very hesitant before about getting hair removal because I thought it would be painful. I had my first laser hair removal session today. It was super fast and painless. When I went for my treatment today everyone that worked there was super nice and smiling, which I could totally see even though they were wearing a mask. Everyone was so nice and helpful they get you in and they get you out but they do not make you feel rushed or unimportant. I love that they expect everyone to show up on time. They do have a five minute grace period from the time of your appointment. That shows me that they take everyone's time seriously. What people don't understand is when they're late for appointments that messes with everyone's schedule that is scheduled to come in after them. That pushes everyone behind them later and it is such an inconvenience for us that know how to show up on time. I hope they never cancel the five minute time limit. read more

ZERO stars for front desk Laura at Fresno location 4/19/24!!!! As usual, my appointment is completely behind. I let her know at 10:15a that I needed to leave at 10:30 to pick up my kids and I had still not been seen for my 10a appointment. Long story short, Laura and I are going back and forth with one another and It was very evident based off of her tone and smart Alec *multiple* remarks that we were not making any progress on trying to figure out the next steps as I had explained to Laura and her manager, the only reason I have so many facials in my account is because I've been receiving complementary ones for *all* the other past times that this company has failed to see me on time or completely Had my appointment booked for a different day (even though my text messages had the day and time that I had showed up) At first, the manager also was getting a little chippy, but eventually we came to a conclusion that yet again I would be receiving another complementary since they could not see me today. However, as I was closing out and trying to organize all of my other appointments, Laura went to the extreme and became extremely rude, and was just giving me the worst attitude ever. At that point, I wanted nothing to do with her so I told her I did not want to speak with her any longer and that I needed someone else to help close me out. I then turned to the second receptionist Marina (amazing!!!) and I start finalizing my next upcoming appointments with Marina. When all of a sudden Laura just inserts herself and is speaking over us continuing to say her smart remarks. I couldn't believe it. She was talking over her coworker just to get her finalized jabs in. After Marina graciously and like a normal human being in customer service helped me set my next appointments, I wanted to speak to the manager again, which Marina gladly set that up for me. Sure enough the manager who took me to the back told me this is not the first time customers complain about Laura attitude and that she knows exactly how Laura can get chippy and rude and that she's seen it before so she believed me. I assured the manager, this was not a case of: the customer is always right. I do not believe that at all to be true, but I was pissed Laura crossed the line when she sarcastically kept saying: don't you have kids to pick up? Don't you need to leave? I thought you needed to leave by now? For those remarks regarding my children, who by the way YES I was late to pick up because I was dealing with her attitude, I will *never* spend another dollar at this company. I can't wait to be done with my packages. I live an hour away from Fresno so coming down for nothing is a big deal! And when she mocks me of "needing to get my kids" - that's where I draw the line. A separate department handles appointments, and I've encountered various problems. They once scheduled me for a Clovis location at 8 am, but the place opened at 9 am. I also had to reschedule an appointment a week in advance due to a meeting with a school counselor. The person on the phone was extremely rude, emphasizing the high demand in March, suggesting it might take 1-2 months for a new appointment. This contradicted their initial claim of a 60-minute leg appointment and the later statement that lower and upper legs each take 30 minutes. Yet my appointment for my legs that day was scheduled only for 45 minutes. 4. Inconsistent Treatment: The inconsistency extends to the treatment itself. Each technician has a different approach, varying in speed and coverage. Some are thorough, while others rush, resulting in patches and uneven treatment, leading to hair regrowth in treated areas. In addition, while the receptionists are professional, I prefer the Clovis location to this Fresno one because their friendliness seems more genuine. In conclusion, I strongly advise against choosing Lazer Away. The combination of high expenses and poor treatment quality makes it an unfavorable choice. Let's just say I've spent thousands at this establishment. THOUSANDS not through finance just paid off immediately. The laser package I received was not very effective. I had to pay extra for a "touch up package" and I'm still not satisfied with results. I bought a bank for some Botox, paid cash for that as well. The sales rep talked me into purchasing some juvederm she told me they no longer sell half syringes even though it's still advertised on their website but she assured me I could break up a full syringe and use half at a time. I told her I only get .5ml at a time once a year and she said they could do that. So I buy it, go in to get my Botox and .5ml at the same time since I live out of town and guess what... the nurse said I would have to come in within 30 days for the other half. I decided that I don't want it then she told me I could get a refund with the lady at the front. GUESS WHAT! Nope they said I have to wait for the sales representative that sold it to me. So I waited for a call and never got one. I have now called 3 times and it's been over 10 days now. Still no refund. They are QUICK to take your money for a service but don't respect your time and refund you. This has been such a horrible process, especially spending well over 5k at this place I would think they would be somewhat considerate. Never again. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

Her tone gave "I am over my job" When I asked about payment, she answered, "what do you mean?!" I tried to clairify whether you charge per session or wondering if it is paid in whole vs installments , she very jarringly asked "what's your credit score?" (I would leave a 3.5 star review if it could) but in any case, I'm writing this review about a year and a half since receiving my laser hair removal treatments. I did the underarms, full legs and Brazilian package. So I'm writing this now to come back and speak about the results. Calfs- Surprisingly my lower legs that would actually grow back so fast when I shaved, has the best results! But the downfall is that I have patches of hair that grow back in those certain spots. So I can see that the nurses may not have been careful to make sure they were consistent. Thighs- kind of good results but not the best as I hoped. I still have a bit of blonde hair I see growing, I always had blonde hair on my thighs but all other hair was dark lol weird... and to note I am fair skin. My knees also seemed to not get good results, so unfortunately I have to shave that area. The most frustrating part was that I felt some nurses put the strength level of the laser higher than others, and other nurses would also not get allll the parts needed. Underarms- I have to shave maybe once every month, so not bad :) Brazilian- unfortunately this is the most upsetting section of laser treatment results. At first it seemed really well, on top all hair was gone but in certain areas going down, I could tell that the nurses totally ignored! And I'm not on the table laying on my back checking to see where they lasered, or if they missed a spot lol so I can see from my results that they definitely missed a lot because I have to shave ever so often, and ugh that's the reason I wanted laser. Shaving sucks! And now, a year plus later, even more hair seems to growing back when the promise from Laser Away that the hair should be basically permanently gone. Not true :( now I feel I have to get more, but I guess I will look else where. Just FYI I did 8 sessions for legs, even did more than 8 for Brazilian, and with the Brazilian having those results, it's unfortunate because I paid thousands of dollars for these treatments read more

They had their grand opening on 12/1/2020 which is so convenient because there are literally no other LaserAway's for at least 200 miles. I'm obsessed with LaserAway- but I've only been to the locations in San Diego. This location wasn't quite as large, or as beautiful as the other locations. Normally there is an open lounge with a fridge with different beverages and a large selection of retail products. They have one bathroom, and maybe 3-4 treatment rooms. I checked in for my 5:30pm appointment about 10 minutes early, but I wasn't seen until 5:50pm. I hate when businesses have a strict prompt policy, and they are late themselves. Very annoying. I've been going to Laseraway for a while and until recently have loved my experience. But last week I had a 7pm appointment, and I arrived a few minutes early for and checked in and everything went fine as usual. At the time of check in nothing was said about their mistake of double booking and there being a longer than usual wait or anything. After about 20 minutes I finally went back up to front desk to ask about how much longer the wait would be; it was at that point that it was explained to me (without an apology) that they double booked my appointment and the practitioner was finishing up and would be with me shortly. Well since I had waited this long I stayed thinking it would be a few more minutes. But almost 20 minutes later I finally get called back, nearly 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment. The practitioner was nice and apologized about the wait after the session, but I was very disappointed about the way this situation was handled by the front desk. I should have been told immediately that I was double booked and there would be a longer wait than usual and offer to reschedule. This completely messed up my family evening schedule I had to adjust arrangements for kiddos at home. Not to mention I had my oldest kiddo with who sat for an hour and half waiting for me. Very disappointed and unsure if I will return or just try the other med spa with a laser. read more

Marissa is the absolute best nurse I've had the pleasure of getting tattoo laser removal by. She is so kind, extremely attentive and comforting. She's very well informed about the service she is giving and answers all questions/concerns which makes me feel confident with my service because I can tell she takes pride in her work, so I know I will be getting great treatment! Unfortunately the nurse schedule isn't planned so far ahead, which is understandable, so I'm not able to for sure have her everytime but I can honestly say she's the reason I don't dread my appointments. I have a low pain tolerance and not that the numbing cream doesn't help a little but the multiple times I've had her, she's constantly checking/offer to pause for breaks and being so encouraging during the whole process. No one likes being handled with "kid gloves" but me personally when I'm in some pain the little "babying"/encouraging words just make the experience so much easier to handle and she will also just let you enjoy the silence, if that's what you prefer, and focus on your breathing while again periodically checking how you're doing. Her bubbly, kind, encouraging and professional personality is top tier! I'm finishing my last (of 9!) laser hair removal today!!! I've done legs, Brazilian and underarms. The result on my legs is amazing. I used to have prickly regrowth after 2 days and now I go 2-3 weeks without shaving! The hair is still there it is just so thin you can barely see it! Overall the hair reduction in all places is amazing. I had two sessions that were pretty rough pain wise and the others were tolerable. Some spots hurt more than others! Get a good nights sleep before, drink lots of water and keep your stress down! Hormones affect a lot in relation to the pain. read more
