First time client. Today was my first time trying laser hair removal at all and Sarah was such an amazing nurse. She talked me through the entire process, and made the experience soo much no enjoyable and less anxious for me. The little zaps in certain areas definitely got uncomfortable, but i couldn't even tell by the way Sarah guided me through the entire appointment. This company allows you to purchase package options online and pay for them in advance. While they offer an array of packages the actual visit to the locations is far from a spa like experience I'm used to. Some locations have music playing loudly and I don't think "Jay-Z" enhances my experience. The treatments are thorough but do not expect aromatherapy scents and candle lit rooms. There are harsh bright lights which I'm sure is necessary, a cold aesthetic room (and I mean it's cold in the room) and a stern nurse who will explain what they plan on doing, execute the procedure and bid you adieux. And I've yet to find a location with accessible parking. My skin looks and feels fabulous and it's definitely worth sticking with the process but don't look for a warm and fuzzy spa like experience at LaserAway. read more

I had a scheduled appt for 12/23 that was canceled last minute. I was offered a complimentary facial for the late cancelation. The appt was rescheduled for 12/26. After the procedure, while checking out, I made and appt for my complimentary facial for 1/10. Also barraged with one time offers....only good today, etc. I called 1/9 to confirm my facial appt and was told that there is no appt. I shared that it was complimentary and asked, is that why it was canceled? The receptionist said 'probably. I hung up the phone and said I'm posting a review. That evening, I received a call from management re my review... She said I told the receptionist to 'piss off' which is a complete lie. I've never said that in my life. She cont to question me and why I wrote the review. I had to remind her that a review is ones experience w/a business. It is what it is. I also told her, I received a receipt for services that, as I was told, never schedule. The receipt 'payment received'....for what? The manager preceded to hang up on me. Amateur is an understatement. I've never experienced anyth like this! This has been so upsetting and felt I needed to share my experience. Thus far, I'm really enjoying my LaserAway experience. I'm almost done with my treatments and am seeing excellent results. I am basically treating as much as I can afford: upper lip, chin, underarms, full Brazilian, lower legs, hands, and feet. I'm just about done with the upper lip treatment and it has worked really well in terms of slowing growth. I'm Latina so used to have to wax or shave very frequently, but now I only have to use my face shaver to touch up an area before a big event where I want to look extra hairless. I will say that I haven't noticed any difference to my chin, but there wasn't much there to begin with. I'm not far along on the other areas to say one way or the other, but I'm hopeful. I get treated at the Wisconsin Ave location in DC and the staff there are so wonderful. The nurses who perform the treatment make you feel so comfortable and are extremely professional, though I have noticed that the "completeness" I feel is done varies from technician to technician--it might be good to make sure all techs are trained to perform the treatments as thoroughly as possible and in the same way to maximize results. My only complaint is that there isn't really a way to know how much treatments cost without going through the consultation process which is effectively a sales pitch. I only ended up committing to getting treatments because I was too anxious to say no to someone on the phone. That's how they trap you! It would be better if prices were much more transparent, but I understand that this is their business mod--trapping people like me who don't know how to say no because we're people pleasers. I am happy I'm getting the treatment done and am thus far happy with the results, but definitely am unhappy with the way I feel like I was backed into a corner and forced to commit to something I wasn't financially prepared to take on. LaserAway is my first laser hair removal experience since 2013 and I am so happy I chose this location to start laser hair removal again. The staff is incredibly friendly and accomodating. I accidentally went to the Arlington location and the D.C. one made to sure they could fit me in later the same day, which I really appreciated. They were running a special during my consultation which included 8 sessions for underarms. After going through the process with the R.N. and feeling reassured by their approach and the laser they use, I happily committed. The laser simultaneously cools the area being worked on and makes for a less painful experience. In total, I was only there 15 minutes and they provided me with the proper post-treatment creams to make sure I was comfortable at home and had no irritation. I highly recommend this location for all your laser hair removal needs. I am now considering doing IPL facials with them too! It is pricey, but the quality of service is terrific and reassuring. read more

I'm only two sessions in, but let me say this... everyone at this location has been delightful! I purchased 10 sessions for tattoo removal. Front the front desk to the nurse, everyone is very knowledgeable and helpful. I needed to change my most recent appointment last minute and they were so accommodating and didn't make me feel bad about changing so last minute. As for my tattoo removal, it is coming along great! I have noticed the difference already! It's obvious that I have darker skin. Before my first session they made sure to confirm that they could indeed follow through with my treatment. The nurses make me feel very comfortable and they're so personable. I really appreciate their level of attention, care, and professionalism. I also really appreciate the Patient Care Coordinator at this site, Richie Gregory. He is an amazing advocate if anything goes wrong with your billing or treatment, he will make sure that everything works in your favor. He is also incredibly generous with his time and is quite attentive to all of his clients. LaserAway is a scam. The employee Christie talked me into getting a loan for a laser treatment. I had no idea I would be getting billed for thousands of dollars. I am retiree on a fixed income. I thought that I was applying for a credit to use at my leisure. Christie encouraged me to commit fraud on my loan application, telling me to increase my income and decrease my rent to $1 a month to get approved for more money. I hope no one else falls for LaserAway like I did. read more

I've been to 3 Laseraway locations-2 in California, 1 in DC. All are clean. Friendly staff, knowledgeable nurses that will answer all your questions. I like the DC location because it is near the Giant food store which has a parking garage. The DC location has a lot of availability. I travel 1.5-2 hours each way because laseraways aren't near my new home, but it is worth it. And they always are having sales!! I have and do recommend Laseraway to my friends. After experiencing such top notch customer service from the New York site on Amsterdam Ave I felt really let down by the DC location. I was SO EXCITED to receive services and prepared in advance by scheduling with a sitter for my sick kid so I can leave in enough time to arrive early on the day of. I even had a wonderful telehealth consult the day before with a WONDERFUL nurse named Saskia which made me even more excited. Then the day of my appointment came and my sitter had a family emergency and couldn't make it. So I had to scramble and make some last minute arrangements which made me run a few mins behind schedule. I hopped in the car, called and told them I was going to be running a few minutes late for my 12:15pm appointment. During the call I was told that as long as I was there within the 5 minute grace period I should be ok because they were completely booked. FIVE MINUTE grace period?!?! Sheesh ok! I told them I'll do my best. Mind you my procedure was only going to take 15-30 mins and I was a brand new patient. So I was OMW and I'm booking it. I receive another call at 12:10pm, I was a few minutes away. A staff person asks me what my ETA was because my appointment is 12:15 and "we have a 5 minute grace period because they are fully booked today." Again with the 5 minute grace period thing. I said "ma'am I can tell you now, im doing my best to get there. According to the GPS ill be there by 12:22pm." She said "OK. See you then." Cool right? Well, a minute later I get a call, mind you I am ALMOST there, "unfortunately we have to reschedule you for another time." At this point I'm just irritated but more so let down, especially being a new patient. I was looking forward to an awesome experience. I actually pulled up infront of the location at 12:21pm, ONE MINUTE!!!! I missed the grace period by ONE MINUTE. Couldn't an exception be made for a new patient? AND I called. I've never experienced such inflexibility at a business before. I just turned around and drove back home. Now get this! A few minutes later I received ANOTHER call. Apparently, a patient canceled for a 12:45pm slot and they offered it to me. THIS IS WHY I COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY WERE RIDING ME SO HARD. Cancelations happen. Other appointments run late. I mean LIFE happens for goodness sake. Nonetheless, I said no and I'm no longer interested in receiving services from you. Not if this is the way you treat your new patients. I wasted my time and gas and I hope other patients are put first and don't have the same experience I did. read more
