Had been directed to a general answering pool not the Wilshire location they could answer any questions, I requested to have someone from the Wilshire location to call me before my appointment. Received no call back. Emailed and received no response. Called back a week later to cancel the appointment, told the girl I had wanted to talk to someone before to have a better understanding of the service, . Again ask for someone to call me. Dr. Kraft really changed my life. When I came to see him, I was in so much pain that I couldn't sleep at night, i couldn't stand, sit, or lay down without pain. I had been in physical therepy for a year and was getting better but slowly. Once i started the laser therepy, my pain improved literally that day and continued with every treatment. Even my physical therapist could feel the difference in my back of the inflammation going down. Dr. Kraft was also able to help me by diagnosing me with hypermobile Elher Danlos Syndrome "EDS". I have been helped tremendously by Dr. Harold Kraft of LaserMD Pain Relief. When I walked into my firsr appointment and had Dr. Kraft explain the process to me, I have to admit that I was not expecting much. But I progressively, with each session, noticed that I was feeling significantly better. At first the pain relief was short-lived, but you have to stick with it and do the recommended 13 sessions before the pain relieving affects last. I had been dealing with back pain for almost 20 years and have undergone 6 grueling back surgeries, when I started going to Dr. Kraft. My UCLA rheumatologist recommended me to the Santa Monica office to help control my pain. She, herself, comes here also. I have rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and a myriad of other arthritis related diseases. I used to have arthritis pain all over my body before coming here. I used to have shots in my knee, which are very painful, a separate neck therapist and other different physical therapists and now I don't have to go to any of them. Before coming here I could hardly drive as my neck did not want to move. The doctors here are board certified and very professional. I first started with Dr. Kraft but as he is only in the Santa Monica office every other week, I have most of my appointments with Dr. Bustos. Dr. Bustos is a very compassionate doctor. He is very professional and listens to me carefully before deciding on the treatment. He really cares about how you feel. The treatments are pain free. All of the great reviews of Laser MD are from patients treated by Dr. Harold Kraft. Unfortunately, because of his limited presence in the Santa Monica office (only Saturday mornings) I was unable to see him. Instead, my experience has been with Dr. Jerrold Bustos. There was a small yellow blinking warning light at my first visit to this office, which I didn't pay much attention to. As I sat in the waiting room, an employee appeared in front of me with a camera (phone or iPad maybe). I asked what she was doing, she said "taking a picture of you". I replied no thank you, and appearing annoyed, she left. I wasn't told in advance or asked my consent to take my photo. As I was ushered into the exam room, I saw stacks and stacks of snacks- chips, Cheetos, etc.,- which the front desk employees had been eating while they checked patients in as they chatted with each other. A little odd for a medical office. In the exam room the garbage can was full to the brim with disposed gloves, used and dirty tissues, and sanitizing wipes used on previous patients (the trash cans were in the same condition in all my subsequent visits). Two employees, unintroduced and unnamed, stayed in the room while Dr. Bustos conducted his consultation with me. I had no idea who they were or why they would be privy to a doctor/patient personal medical history discussion. I handed Dr. Bustos a year's worth of MRIs, X-rays, med lists, etc., and throughly explained my medical odyssey of the last two years. He (very) briefly glanced at the paperwork, said only "You've tried a lot of things", and vaguely described the therapy done in his office. When I asked for more specifics, he explained in medical jargon-useful if you had gone to medical school, which I have not. When I asked for more understandable detail, and clinical date of the efficacy, he told me to go to the MDLaser website. I agreed to try the treatment, feeling I had nothing to lose. It works like this: the doctor comes in for a maybe 5 minute question and answer of how you feel today, complete with an iPad illustration of sad to smiling emoji faces on which he circles the scale of your pain as you choose 1 to 5. Then he marks with a felt pen on your body the area to be treated, tells the tech which level of laser to use and leaves. The tech then passes the laser over the marked areas, wipes off the body markings, and you're done. In total, maybe 15 minutes (or less). I had 11 treatments all together. On my third treatment, by sheer accident, I saw the screen of the tech's tablet. There were photos of my marked up body, including my naked lower back and buttocks. Unbeknownst to me, they had been taking these pictures from the beginning without informing or asking me. In medicine there is a term called "informed consent". This requirement had not been followed. In shock, I asked about this and was told to contact the office manager who told me they have to take pictures in order to have a record of where/when/how the treatment was done. I said I have no issue with that, but did take issue with not having received any prior notice or request for my consent. And all of the photography done by un named office employees. On my last visit, I showed Dr. Bustos my latest MRI, asking what treatment he thought would help and whether there was a possibility of the area healing. From the first visit, he had worn a mask and spoke so softly, it sounded like mumbling, and all in medical jargon. At this last visit, I asked him twice to speak up as I only heard every other word (nothing wrong with my auditory sense). He started to raise his voice and scoffing, pointed to a piece of paper saying, " Do you expect a paper to heal itself?". When I responded that human tissue is not a piece of paper, and the body heals itself all the time, i.e., a paper cut, he started shouting at me. I said that could not continue and he stormed out. Nice and professional. The next day I got a call from the same office manager, saying I no longer would be treated at that office, but I could go to Sherman Oaks (I live in Venice). I had told her what occurred and she said Dr. Bustos was just trying to speak clearly and the tech who witnessed all of it (Christian, whose employment hinges on loyalty to his employer), said no one was shouting. My advice? Try to get an appointment with Dr. Kraft. read more

I was going to wait until the end of my treatment to do this review but I feel like after my 4th session my results are coming in and I'm too excited to wait! I am using this therapy on my back and knee, my rheumatologist suggested coming here and I am so glad I did! There are so many fun alternative therapies out there these days And I love red lights do many purposes. This is called a Class 4 infrared laser and it's def the strongest I have experienced. They offer a small fan to cool off the area while you're getting treatment, I don't need it on my knee but I do with my back. Dr Kraft is very knowledgeable and straight forward and is sure to let you know that there is no guarantees this will work and it depends on your body genetics and makeup if this will work for you or not. If you make it to 10 sessions I believe he said and it doesn't work then you should quit. Some people react in the beginning middle and so forth. But I am definitely after number 4 feeling the difference and I want the world to know! They say the back is the area this helps most, but it's for pain and inflammation. And they take insurance!!! I could not be happier with the all the staff at LaserMD as they are always on time and wanting to assist in anyway possible. I had neck pain that wasn't improved by massage, acupuncture, physical therapy, or epidural injections. The next option was surgery. Then a neurologist friend recommended laser therapy. My rheumatologist initially recommended LaserMD Pain Relief to treat my inflammation from AR, as well as scar tissue buildup back surgery. Dr. Kraft explained the procedure as well as the benefits I could expect. He cautioned that some don't respond to laser, but insofar as a number of painful epidurals didn't help I had nothing to lose. I didn't notice any changes in my levels of pain and discomfort after the first two treatments but decided I would do four treatments and if I didn't see results, I would pull the plug. I am currently pregnant and I had been having knee pain for about two months before seeing Dr Kraft. I have a long and complicated medical history that includes extensive chronic pain. I am 36 and have been going to specialists since I was 16 trying to find answers and pain relief. I have RA and Ehlers Danlos syndrome. First, I will say the Class IV laser is effective for the pain in my hands/wrists and feet due to rheumatoid inflammation. I was able to get through summer semester of grad school and all the typing that entails as well as a move last week with minimal pain, when in the past I would put my pain level at a 9. I have been seeing Dr. Kraft for around 3 months twice weekly. I have chronic and unrelenting tendonitis and bursitis in almost every major joint. The laser has been a MIRACLE and was able to heal tennis/golf elbow that has been present for three years in just a few sessions. We have also been working on what I suspect is a rotator cuff issue (tear) and the pain has been 70% reduced, and I know will be 100% reduced with enough sessions. I also saw success immediately using the laser for nerve pain. Amazingly effective treatments. I came to Dr. Kraft because of two bulging discs in the lumbar region were causing extreme sciatica in my right leg. This was after I had two epidurals, that is cortisone injections into the spine by an orthopedist. Neither helped reduce the pain very much, and only lasted for a few days. After half a dozen treatments with Dr. Kraft the pain began to recede. After ten treatments, the pain was reduced by about 85 percent. Before the treatments I could only walk a couple of hundred yards before serious pain would kick in. Now, three months after the end of the treatments, I can walk a couple of miles and feel no more than a slight discomfort in the leg.
