The first time I had a haircut there I opted for one of the "lower level" stylists for a more budget friendly cost. I actually had to return because one of the experienced stylists was cutting one side of my hair and someone who hadn't done that kind of cut before was doing the other side. So I came back and had the more experienced stylist do both sides and it came out terrific. I came back a second time and had my hair highlighted and added a bold color with a cut. I had so many compliments on it. It looked outstanding. The third appt went pretty good. Hair was not as outstanding as the previous time but still get compliments on it. However, I had an appointment for one of their specials to do a scalp treatment and a facial for $60. Unfortunately, that morning, I woke up with a very bad sinus headache and had to go into work late. So that I wouldn't lose money on my job, I decided I better work late so I had decided to cancel my appointment to keep the boss happy and wasn't sure when to rebook it. They told me I would have to pay double that $60 charge -- $120 for the regular price. This was pretty surprising and disappointing considering I had been very happy with the customer service I've received up until that point. All of the girls there have been very nice. After talking to my boss, she told me that I could go after all. I couldn't get through to anybody during lunch so when I finally got through to someone at 2 PM I was told that the appointment was filled, but that they were still going to try to charge me or that I couldn't come back to the salon for services. I felt like this was an unfair policy and that $120 is a very steep cancellation fee considering the special was for $60 and that's all the stylist would have made from me anyway. So at this point, I'm not sure I would recommend the salon or not sadly. I never knew they would charge me for canceling especially that much more than I was planning to play for the service.

I was already upset on day 1, but didn't want to push the new tech to do anything she wasn't comfortable with, as she told me she "didn't want to accidentally cut me" trying to remove them. I paid $72 total and left. By the weekend they all peeled off. When I sent them a message (with pictures) about this, they told me they "only guarantee their gel for 6 days". I couldn't come in on the weekend due to a personal emergency, and they told me that if I didn't come in the day they saw my DM (a day late) they couldn't help me. I had an exam the next day. I couldn't drop everything and do my nails, especially when I anticipated that they would last 2 weeks, as every other gel set I have ever gotten has. Very upset. Used to love this place. Was hoping they would handle it differently and was disappointed. While they were nice, they didn't do a good job. Won't be going back.
