So for this review, I just need to say that telephoning and make an appointment for older folks (or at least this older lady) is easier or at least what we I am used to. So it wasn't ideal but I'm getting that perm! Arrived at the salon, it's in a really nice quiet spot, which is a preference for me. I waited only a few minutes before Ashley came out and got me. And then there was an interesting kind of walk-through maze to get where we needed to go. We were the only ones there in the back for a few minutes until another lady showed up who was a stylist. It was just very quiet and not very busy. It looked to me like maybe just a slow day. Ashley was very nice. She asked me what kind of perm I was looking for and I hadn't had a perm since I was a kid so about 30 years ago and we figured it out. Then she took me to the bowl, washed my hair and took me back and rolled me up. When it was all over and done with (less than half an hour) I was very pleasantly surprised. Now this was my first perm like I said in 30 years, and I had a couple spots that if I really wanted to take the time and go back and have her correct a couple places I could've done that but I think overall I chose not to do that for two reasons. First I wanted to take my time with this new opportunity and work with my hair that is normally very straight for the most part with a permanent and second I really feel like I could live with it. I had a straight area in the front and the back was definitely not, as curled as I was wanting. Now the kicker. I absolutely am going back to get another perm. I love my hair. It's super fun. I can blow it out straight and it has lots of body that it didn't used to have and I really love the it! It's fun like I said, and it's definitely something that I want to keep. I don't think I'll go back to straight hair again. It has been the end of May that I got my perm and there's still plenty of life in it. I will probably go back in the next couple of months for another perm. My hair wasn't damaged and it wasn't frizzy and it was overall a really great experience. The reason why I gave four out of five stars is that the salon was a little dusty, there wasn't much product to look at for someone like myself who has not been in the hairstylist game for a long time and I was looking for more support from the staff. I felt like they should've/could've been more proactive in that area instead of me needing to ask questions and then I kind of felt dumb so I just stopped where I was and I didn't ask any more questions about product or anything else like that. With all of the above mentioned in mind, I absolutely would suggest locks and lashes and like I said I'll be returning.

Translation super tiny short nail beds that are damaged and basically clinging to their last shred of life. It's very hard to find someone who is gentle enough with my dry, thin, brittle nails. For this reason I haven't gotten my nails done after leaving California and moving here as my last nail tech I had met by chance through a agency I was contracted with at a fashion show (they mandated I had my nails done and would send me to different techs they had contracted) and I never thought I would find someone as great as her until I went here! The vibe is super friendly and welcoming and let me just say the quality of nails ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! The prices are also incredibly low for the quality you are getting! She didn't hurt me or make me flinch once which again with my nails is super hard because they are so thin the dremmles get hot a lot quicker on them. With her though? Not a single ounce of pain or mishap. Another thing is I get my nails very short and natural looking which is hard as the shorter you go the more bubbly nails can look because of how powder sits but she took the extra time to make sure they looked perfect and as natural as physically possible! On top of that they are holding up EXTREAMLY well which again is hard to accomplish on a nail bed that is so short! Over all this salon is BETTER than any other nail salons and techs I've been too (including large la salons) can't recommend this place enough!
