Dr doesn't really listen to anything new you need to talk to him about. Don't know why they bother…read moreto ask. If it's not a box to be checked on his I pad check list or related to meds your on....your outta luck. So if your sick or injured just go to med express or urgent care. I've been losing weight over the years but he doesn't recognize or notice that. Last time I was there he said " you need to lose weight because we can't stretch you to be taller". Ummm has he looked in the mirror lately....he needs stretched. You rarely get the same staff twice and see they are always hiring so I'm saying north west PA must have very high staff turn over.

Well let's see, if you want a heaping dose of fundamentalist conservative Christian attitude shoved…read moredown your throat while you're there, by all means go right ahead. If you want to be treated with dignity and respect, stay FAR away. (**Note: This review was from my one and only visit years ago, and since then I've been waiting to review it publicly- thanks Yelp!) My BP reading was a tad high when I was in, since I am always nervous at the doctor. "Dr." Spencer was aghast- "What, are you eating too much salt or what?!" he shouted. He then proceeded to tell me about how "Jesus didn't eat salt, so we don't need it." The next 5 minutes were spent lecturing me on bible passages and Jesus's apparent sodium intake. Then he asked about my v-card status. Sorry dude, but you are not my gyno and have no business asking about this. When I hesitated because this was an unfounded question, he ACTUALLY said (verbatim), "You know Jesus wants us to remain virgins until we're married. You are not to be having sex unless you are married." Well thanks for that awkward conversation, random doctor I've only seen once. My friend also had the joyous experience of breaking his arm and going to Dr. Spencer, who demanded a drug test. When my friend declined, saying that has absolutely nothing to do with a broken arm, Dr. Spencer said, "Well if you don't have anything to hide, then what's the big deal? Let's see what you've been up to." He also told another friend, "You aren't depressed and don't need anti-depressants. What you need is Jesus." I seriously cannot make this stuff up. I was tempted to go back, donning some kind of liberal "Planned Parenthood supporting, Marriage Equality for everyone!" t-shirt and giving him a heart attack, but once you leave his practice and go somewhere else, you "aren't ever allowed to come back." No joke. Avoid at all costs.
