Here for the first time recently, and overall it was pretty decent. Our waitress, her name escapes me, was very good and very fun. The two other people I was with really enjoyed their burgers and I got the pork tenderloin half order. It was still very big so I would hate to see the full order. I thought it was fine, but nothing extravagant. Overall, a fairly small place and I personally hate high tables in this place is full of them. I'm not holding that against them though. When I was a house painter I often worked in this area of town, although it's a bit out of the way from where I live, thats how I became a regular for a time. I have been a customer for 2 years now at least one or two times a mo. Today I stopped to have a beer and order some food for my wife and something for me to take home. I ordered a 10 " pizza and food for my wife . He came back to the table after about 15 min and I was ready to leave and said we do not have any 10" pizza I said to him could I get the next size up at the same price as the 10" he said no so I said could you put the same amount of stuff you put ln a 10" on the next size crust He said no. So i said its not my fault you are out of 10" crusts so could you cut the next size one down to a 10" pizza size. He said no. Oh Last Chance! The dive bar that surprisingly serves decent food. The use to have pool tables prior to the pandemic and they still have some slot machines. They have an outdoor seating area also. I should have read the recent reviews and it duplicates my experience. The waitress seems overwhelmed so I will not even mention that situation. The food came out in different stages, my guest ordered a frisco melt and that came out first, then 10 minutes later we got our soup followed by the worst tamale pie I ever tasted. I love last chance! Not only is the food always delicious, but they are open early and closed late! It is our go to when being lazy but wanting some good breakfast food! We've also had lunch and dinner there too and it's always yummy! Prices are super affordable and portions are huge. Now this is not a fancy place by any means... it is super casual (which I don't mind at all). We often order for carry out and our food is almost always ready within 15 minutes or so. My favorite breakfast item is the "sunrise" where I choose corned beef hash (comes with choice of eggs and choice of bread also). I recently also tried a small order of French toast and it was equally just as good (if you are in the mood for sweets). For dinner/lunch some of my favorites is the philly beef sandwich (the chicken one is also yummy), frisco melt, patty melt, burgers, and chicken sandwiches. Tiny little hole-in-the-wall outside of Peoria on Alta Lane. The only place in Peoria (that I'm aware of) that allows you to have a beer with breakfast. I always get the Cowboy for breakfast (steak and eggs) and have gotten the buffalo chicken sandwich with waffle fries for lunch. Each time it is an extremely large amount of food for less than $10 per person. Highly recommended. read more

No one greeted or even acknowledged us when we arrived. My cousin has been previously and recommended it. We wanted to sit on the patio since it was nice out and we had 2 kids with us and didn't want to bother the other diners. There was maybe 3 other tables in the place. As we walked to the patio I asked one of the waitresses if we could sit out there and she gave me a look and said well that's where People smoke but if you're okay with that then fine. We assumed since no one else was there or on the patio it wouldn't be to much of a problem. We were wrong. The waitress took our order quickly and rushed before we even had sat down. She then brought our drinks but forgot my water. My coffee was cold and tasted pretty bad. We had to get up and find our own sugar and when we asked for creamer she seemed very frustrated and went inside and brought us a basket out with creamer. As soon as she placed our order she came out with a paper, her purse, cigarettes, and soda and sat down and started chain smoking. Someone else brought our food to us at this point. The quality was poor and the food wasn't hot at all. My son who eats just about anything couldn't stomach the pancakes. He kept trying and would say oh these are gross. The sausage in my country skillet tasted like corned beef hash vs. sausage. The onion and green pepper was chewy and rubbery. Our original waitress sat over in the corner still smoking while we talked about needing water, an extra set of silverware because we were short one, having no salt, etc. the waitress never even batted an eye. We got up and took another set of silverware that was sitting on a table right next to her as well as the salt. Finally the second waitress who brought us our food came back to check on us again and brought me water. We finished the meal as our original waitress was finishing her 6th or 7th cigarette (no exaggeration). 2 cooks joined her and went back in and then She popped the bag that held her journal star which scared my son and cousins son and just laughed and said oh come on. I'm just having fun and walked out. We sat there a little longer with no check and she comes back out to the patio and says do we need boxes or what? I said no thank you. She said ok well you pay at the bar. And walked away again without giving us a check. So we got the kids together walked by her and she said nothing. No thank you. No have a nice day. Nothing. We paid and the 2nd waitress we had momentarily checked us out and she was very polite and nice. We ordered a country skillet with sour dough bread, silver dollar pancakes, a cup of coffee, 2 waters and 2 kids chocolate milk the total was 21.16 or some change. I was very polite the entire time we were there and received poor attitude and service in return. I've worked in the service industry for about 7 years and know we all have off days but this was ridiculous. Overall not pleased with the experience whatsoever. The 2nd waitress we had for a short bit was great but the older waitress was awful. other than that this place would've gotten .5 stars if I could. We brought our kids here after a football game over the weekend. We were seated right away which was nice. Our two boys ordered burgers, my wife and I had bread. Our youngest sons burger was raw on the inside and burnt on the outside. We were setting next to the kitchen so we could see first hand that the kitchen staff was horsing around not cooking. Last Chance is one of those great, sorta out-of-the-way dive bars that you'll never see an advertisement for and relies on word of mouth. The atmosphere is really just that of a bar more than restaurant: there's a long bar when you first walk in, and a small lineup of slot machines to your right. Most of the tables are high-tops, but if you prefer a more traditional table & chairs setup there are a handful of them to the left, between the kitchen and the bar. There are a couple of pool tables at the other end of the building, and a screened-in beer garden for the smokers. Nothing outstanding about the environment, but fortunately that's not the case with their food. Whether you're eating breakfast, lunch or dinner, I guarantee you'll not leave hungry. And the price is right too. For breakfast they've got all the typical bacon, eggs, pancakes, omelets, biscuits & gravy, etc. along with my favorite: the skillet meals. They are ENORMOUS and like everything else, quite affordable. Lunch & dinner offers many choices you'd expect and it's all fantastic, but the highlight is their burgers. I can't stress this enough. Their burgers are absolutely magical. You can get them prepared how you like ( I always opt for charbroiled) and they're a good 1/3 pound of fresh, never frozen, hand-shaped patties. No matter which one you choose, you'll find these are the BEST burgers in the Peoria area. I've had some decent burgers in this town, particularly at Granite City, Burger Barge, Texas Roadhouse, Red Robin and even Hardee's. They're all very good, but for freshness, taste and value you cannot beat Last Chance. Kids meals available as well. Also ample size. They also offer great daily drink specials. In addition, the wait staff is always friendly, courteous and attentive. I love this place, whether I'm alone, with my wife or with the whole family.
